Police Scanner

Wtf. I was highly excited to see my county on a free app since I've. Downloaded 12 scanners that were free and they haven't had my county then I got. It and was mad bcuz either one wouldn't play. Buffered for 1 second and sttiaght to stop. Let itset for 15 mins wishing it would work and nothing. I rate this at 2 since it actually had my county even though it would notwork.ggggrrrr

From what I can tell from the short time I have used it it is a nice scanner it seems to work good at this point and time. What I like best about this program is that it gives you a list of police/sheriff codes to help you out with what they are saying :) I had downloaded another scanner but I ended up deleting it right after I installed this one and the other one didn't come with the codes. In my opinion this scanner is highly recommended. Thanks

Can't get it to pick up anything within the LA area. Not useful if nothing comes in. Will be deleting this app... I just installed another app that is picking up numerous agencies in the LA area.

This is an excellent scanner . Not only does it have superb audio quality ,you can save your favorites. Having the codes right at your fingertips is an awesome feature as well. I am sure there is room for improvement but developers get no complaints from me. Thank-you for hard work and dedication. ps... app works just as well on nook hd+ as my LG volt

I have no idea how this app got good ratings ... It's that biggest tease I've come across yet. Sure you can look up just about any county you can think of, but listening is a whole other story. I hop to one day change my answer.

If ur having buffering issues @ startup, just be patient. I tried 2 others and they didn't work. So I tried this one and set my phone down to see if it would ever work. Sweet! After about a minute sometimes almost 2 mins, the stream starts and then plays continuously without more buffering. I've listened @ the longest for a half hour, and it worked. Icon in notification bar let's u know if buffering or streaming. It works.

This is a good app. It doesn't have to keep buffering like most scanner apps do. It has almost any police and fire dept you can think of. The only thing i would like to see improved is to add a flashing led light when the app is running and the screen is locked. Otherwise.....Great app!

I used to use another police scanner app and unfortunately whoever was doing the broadcasting for this area quit doing it so it does me no good....so I tried this one to see if possibly it was any different. It says that there are actual channels in this area with real listeners however it won't connect for me. All it does is tell me the stream has stopped and keeps buffering. All within a 50 mile radius are like that. You would think I lived in the Bermuda Triangle!

Only complaint is that local light & power crews now have 800 band radios...so I hear a lot of semi- pertinent banter along with CB jargon since these guys don't understand proper emergency radio etiquette. So, I get local REAL emergencies "stepped on" by these guys as they say "10-4" every other word.

Worked better when it showed what county or city you were looking for. Now I need to look up the codes before I use the app. Also app spends more time buffering & stopping than playing. Kinda dumb. Will be uninstalling & looking for one that works like this one used to.

i shouldn't have to wait for it to buffer. i've had this this thing running for minutes at a time and it's just silence. whats the good of using it, if it doesn't come up with anything. i'd rather have a line that breaks, then to have a stream downloaded., useless, and uninstalling.

Chicago and New York are the clearest for me but get plenty of others including my very rural hometown. Doesn't eat up my battery either. Listened all day and still have 3/4 battery life left atop of regular internet surfing.

Total waste of time and space. All it does is "buffer signal" whatever that means--what year is this, 1992? Also, I live in a little town with its own police force...but neither the police force nor other IN TOWN emergency services are listed or accessible. What gives?

I really liked the layout of this app but every time I try and access a feed, the app will stop playing it and I have to hit play again. I have it on the main screen of the app constantly so I don't understand why this is happening...very frustrating and very dissapointed. This issue should really be resolved

I would like to give this app 5star but I cannot get any feeds to work in Montana and there's not any feeds for my area of silverbow county/Butte Montana. It works great for other cities and I would recommend it for those in states with larger cities.

I'm giving it only 2 stars because there seems to be no way to kill the app outside of going onto app info and using force quit. It also doesn't pause when I'm making or receiving a call.

I can't get past the buffering just like many others feedback I read. I do like the fact they have the codes. But what good is it when you can't get it to work. My friend recommended this app. His works great. Unfortunately mine not so well. Very disappointed! I was Sooo looking forward to this.
