Police Scanner

Last update ruined it. It was better before. You could go State then county then see everything. That is gone. You can put in your city name in search. Before there was Chicago zone 4 districts 1 and 18 and citywide 1 now that is gone. It looks different and is harder to navigate. Had to redo all my favorites they all disappeared. Now Chicago Police channel is static. Seems many options for Chicago Police are gone. What changed? Now so many ads. I'll find another police scanner to use. Not good

Last update ruined it. Can't navigate. Search is useless. I type in "new jersey state police" and get a huge list to scroll through. My search result was found somewhere in the middle of the list. Was good. I'll look elsewhere.

Was living this app until the most recent update which eliminated the tab for locations near you or along that topic. Plus it was always on and now it just shuts off after 10 minutes so about time to find something more dependable.

i installed the app and gave it 5 stars at 1st. but now my home town station has stopped working. so im guessing you only get a certain amount of free listening. but if i want to know whats going on in Australia somewhere id give it a 5 star rating. ive checked to. every station on the app plays but not here anymore. its sad.

Sleep timer doesn't work anymore. Set a time and push save and it stops the app and closes. Galaxy s21 fe 5g phone. Update- app timer still doesn't work and shuts down the app when you push save.

I like this app. But since my phone updated to android 12 it's been crashing especially when you try to use the timer, then it crashes every time.

Every time there is an update the application stops working. Don't like new format.

Starting 3/18/2022...when I switch to a neighboring city--Cleveland Metro Housing Authority PD...I have sit and LISTEN TO like A MINUTE OF audio COMMERCIALS!!!!!!....If I try to refresh or switch back and forth between MY city and CMHA...I AGAIN have to listen to commercials....CANT DELETE or SKIP over it...can't even FIND THE SOURCE!!!!!!!!....WTH!!!!!...UPDATING didn't help....will try uninstall and reinstall...if that don't help...I will have to find other....

You cannot click on anything without an ad playing, such a joke. Many much better options for scanners out there.

It changed everytime I try to listen to YouTube or tiktok it turns off and I want to listen to the scanner while I'm listening to it

it's a great app... Except the ads are almost unbearable! And there appears to be no way to pay for premium version with no ads. Additionally, the app always opens to the home screen which simply shows the most popular channels across the country. Why not have it said in the will open to favorites, the ones you actually want to listen to!??! This app has loads of potential, but it has some major shortfalls!

Clear with that sweet sound of radio static. Brings back childhood memories. Ease=100% Clarity=85% Volume is good. Choosing who, what, where, is extremely user friendly. The only thing, in my opinion, to make this better, would be a "live" video/TV coverage of events as they unfold. Little less static, but that's what they have to put up with, so I can too. Thank you for a nice app.

I really like that it stays connected while you're on other apps so u can listen while doing other things. It also doesn't cut off when u run into an ad while playing a game or whatever. I downloaded a different scanner previous to this one and it kept shutting down anytime there was any kind of interruption.

Gotta love this app but seems u have to be connected to wifi for it to work. Something happened to it and it stopped working for Oconee County SC sheriff's dept yesterday. it only gets a buzzing sound that sounds electrical. The many ads that are forced on us to view with no way to eliminate them is AWFUL!! WE LIVE IN A WORLD OF INTERNET... if we want or need something it is easy to surf, search & find. These ads are annoying and are as bad as a mailbox full of JUNK MAIL!!!!

I like to listen not sure about all the codes but whats better then listenin to actual conversaition.

ever since you're update yesterday on 5/17 of 22 the app on my Android quit working. Why?

Pretty good app. Love listening to Memphis cause that's the busiest city & you can hear everything so clear so there's no doubt about what's going on. Also like the fact that it has all the codes on the app in case they call out 1 I don't know. Just moved near a couple fire depts and heard the sirens coming and turned on my app & wa-la we knew where they were going & what had happened. Not an app issue,but wish more local police were on the app.

I love this app. It helps me keep up with what is going on in the area. I suggest this app for everyone interested.

Though I don't know where to find out how to use this app, I still like what I've been able to hear. Just like when I had my hand held Uniden scanner. 8/20/20 Update. Of all the scanner apps I like this one best. I found that if I did not go on the 1st ch. -> no more ads. My only problem now is when I first open the app I can't get the ad off to get to the app. Each time I emailed the app dev. I was able to get it to work like usual within 15-20 mins., but if phone goes off I'm emailing again.

Have not been able to use in almost a week, why is McKean Police, Fire & EMS not working? Has not been working since before Thanksgiving. Very sad

It was working fine and just stopped all the sudden in one of the worst storms we've had and now it wont let me get back on any station at all, it just keeps saying problem please try again. I have upgraded the app and I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and still nothing. My rate would be zero stars but unfortunately I can rate it at a zero so I'll do 1 star.

Police Scanner : great app. It has more control on the channels, instead of grouping them together being forced to listen to other counties you don't want. The audio is perfect, clear with the right amount of bass. This made it easier to understand & hear the transmissions.

Will not allow me to search my location. I'm not interested in what goes on in Chicago, but more so my small country town, that I very much dislike, but, I like the trash that goes on, maybe because I've been part of it more than once. Certainly not proud of it, but would very much perk me up to hear a 'Bertha Better Than You' in some itty bitty trouble. Come on, I'm not the only one. May be a good app for you. If you live in Memphis or Chicago, some prominent states-maybe go for it. Its free.

If you're looking for a free police scanner app this is the best one by far. It has ads but they're minimal. It only lags a few seconds so you're very close to real time regardless of the channels you're scanning.

I did enjoy listening to the scanner and it seemed to work fine in my area I did not like the fact that I could not log off. It seems the app lingers around if you will, always on the screen and although I could pause the scanner I could not actually shut it down without uninstalling it. I will look elsewhere.

5 star's A. Because it works great and B. It has allows me to even pick up my local PD which no other scanner app has had the option for. I occasionally listen to NYC's finest and it's amazing to hear what they deal with.. If your looking for a scanner app look no further, this app has so many options for different areas.. I thank you the creator or creators of this fine app!. 🙏👍

Downloaded the app recently. On a short experience thus far it appears to be great tool to have especially for me travelling almost everyday to 6 different states for my business. l'm glad it was available given that l'm always concerned of being pulled over for speeding. Very much essential to have. Also extremely reliable as l have already tested its efficiency several times with state troopers hiding on various stops. lt really did its job when required. Drivers must have this appwhen driving.

updating review on 04-05-19 after an update it states cannot play station. doesnt work at all. Good app just wish the layout was better. I have to go to favorites to find correct station, however every time I open and click play it seems to add another live channel so my local one has 20. Only way to get it back one is my deleting it

This is a really good app actually ahead of other apps if you listen to two of the same stations from different apps this one is about 30 seconds faster. The other apps are delayed. But the other apps give you an option to record.
