Police Scanner Radio

Terrible app. Do NOT install. The second it opens, there is an ad. Every time you click in menu, another ad... but worse when you close the app it is still running in the background and all of a sudden you hear a police broadcast pipe through even though no apps show in running. I had to force end task. I am uninstalling as soon as I submit this rating. Would post a zero, but 1 is lowest allowed.

Used to use the old one (purple icon) and finally upgraded to this. Location finder does NOT use phone location. Tried many different ways to input location with search (zip, city, name of scanner stream, etc) and it wouldn't work. Also started with a loud ad instead of the old banner ones at the bottom. I will be going back to the old app.

I get my local 911 police and fire . Just wish the frequencies were displayed because multiple police and fire dispatchers talk at the same time and its sometimes difficult to sort who's talking . When I try to chance to different source if it lands on #1 will get an anoying voice ad or It won't play till I start that local site up again . When app is playing in the background on my phone many times station will just shut off even though app is still running and will have to click station on .

For the past week, the scanner channel for my family's area, which had been working, has suddenly not been working. And this channel usually has activity at least once/hour. Haven't heard anything, dead silence, for a week. I checked another channel (Chicago) and that one works. 🤔

keeps me informed to what's going on in my local area and i can listen in on the crime in my neighborhood. other then the time delay and a slow connection every once in awhile(which has to be expected with any app) it's over all a great app.

The app still shuts off but I've now had front row seats at two events in Magna. The first at BK was right next store. Didn't really need the scanner for that. But it did let us know what was going on while we were ducking all the bullets that were flying everywhere.

Saw a chopper circling, searched apps and chose this one based on other ratings, and then was able to type in my town and get tuned in seconds. Super easy with a ton of options I see.

Very helpful app that you can always count on. It has clear reception and usually works, when other scanners are down. Thank you.

Stops and won't start up, very often when trying to open app it won't even connect. I recommend trying other apps if you're looking for dependability!!!!

Had to try 3 scanner apps before I found one that wasn't silence on every feed you attempted to play. Not even the background hum of a line with nobody talking - literally not playing anything. This was one that didn't work.

Used to work great but don't know what happened now. Don't know if they're was an update anytime w/in the past few days but stopped working on galaxy 5 (boyfriends) and galaxy 7(mine) NOT SHOWING THE CITY IM IN EXCEPT FOR SURROUNDING AREAS WHEN IT HAD BEEN SHOWING PREVIOUSLY BEFORE -- WHY IS THAT?? If fixed, will rate 5 stars!!!!

cant get it to play, even though there is a activity. UPDATE: Have to uninstall and reinstall every 2 TO 3 days TO GET IT TO WORK getting tiresome.you still have a poor record as a police scanner, why do i have to uninstall it every 2 to 3 days in order to listen. a totally misleading ap. June20, 2019 have had yo uninstall snd reonstall. poor excuse for a scanner. please check snd correct your issues. ive drawn this issue to YOU MANY TIMES!

This app has been great for a very long time but when it's truly needed out here in Minnesota during this riot, it has unfortunately fell short. I would give it a higher review if it came in handy at the right moment. During this time we try to keep our family safe and not knowing what is going on right near us can leave us vunerable. I was very close to purchasing this app until tonight.

So far so good. My area has 8 streaming locations for the tri county area. Still trying to figure the locations of each one but, the sound is clear!

scanner doesn't work. There are several streaming sources, but when you hit the play button nothing plays. Pretty much a waste of a download.

the sound is better,clearer than others I've tried. very easy to get my local feed by zipcode. and set it as my fav. still continues while texting.

What an awesome app. You used to have to pay hundreds of dollars for a box plugged into your home AC for less features than you get for free with this app that you carry in your pocket. What a genius idea to develop this app.

Nice app layout, but can't get it to play anything. My other scanner app plays without a glitch. Uninstalling this one and keeping the other one.

App loaded and I put in my info then as it was streaming there was no audio. I checked my phone and volume was up. Not sure the problem.

Sound does not work with my Samsung Empire Tribute. When browsing for a local channel it was refering to my states Counties as Cities. Clearly just made to make a quick dollar through ads and/or upsells.

its a great scanner and you can set a timer to automatically shut off it also comes with codes. This is good to have, because me and a few neighbors are forming a neighborhood watch program. It's a great tool for any one, any where, and any age who likes to stay on top the local happens of the place they call home and its surrounding communities. Or if it hits you to it even picks up any state or place in about every country around our great mother earth.

easy to use and works well every time. This app is a nice way to stay informed as to areas/roads to avoid before you head out for the day.

great app guys. covers all my areas of interest with codes to boot. signal and audio is good. 5x5 baby. always room for improvement though right. hope to see you grow this app. thanks guys keep up the good work. peace out.

It's a average app nothing to write home about when you are ready to engage with listen to several calls or action seems lacking to few calls between timing of each one. Again 50/50 decision individual will have to check it out he or she make a decision

Very good reception. I live in the hills in a remote area. It s great to have this as an option for knowing what the sirens are about.

Excellent local scanner..or for where you want to hear whats really going on. You do get to hear the things that don't make the news.
