Police Scanner X

Worthless. Helicopters circling overhead and I couldn't find out what was going on. It tuned in a few times for a few minutes but wouldn't stay connected (wifi or cell service). I downloaded a different app and had no issues. manhunt for a shooter in the neighborhood. would have been valuable info the first time rather than futzing around trying to get it to work. worthless!

I have a few issues with the app but I enjoy using and listening to what I can. First, not all channels are shown in my area. Also, there are times when it intermittently picks the signal up/plays audio out on my phone. The app will flip from pause to play making audio choppy and unrecognizable. Last issue I have is that the bar it leaves in the notifications for the shortcut to play/pause audio will sometimes stay there even when force closing the application until I restart my phone.

It's great for county and city in my town for sure. Just wish it wouldn't randomly shut down after 10mins or start getting glitchy. Gotta force shut down and restart the app for it to work. But when I hear things going on in town I turn it on and it's delayed but maybe 30 seconds. But I'm sure it's due to the 2nd party steamer broadcasting. I enjoy it and don't see me deleting it 👌

Does its job, and seems to be on time a little better than other police scanner apps that my friends have had. This app seems to relay information a few seconds quicker than most. I wouldve given it 5 stars, but 2 things prevented that .... 1. I am currently reinstalling the app because all of a sudden i hear nothing when i hit play... Not second or minutes are counting and nothing plays. At first i thought just not much action, but i listened for a long period of time and heard nothing.. 2. It can be impossible to understand sometimes because of how staticy the communications come in. I know it can't possibly be that way on their radios (the cops, ambulance, etc) or they'd never know what they were doing. Obviously we can't expect the same quality as what they would get but i feel like I should at least be able to understand somewhat clear always.

It usually works pretty good. However, the very few times that I have had any kind of issues with this app I've ended up having to power off my phone and restarting it just to resolve the problem, because just backing out and closing the app doesn't work Only twice now I experienced the app broadcasting with a very staticy-echo playing like there is two playing at once, that again is only resolved by powering off my entire phone. Otherwise the App seems to work great!

Easy to get started and listening is pretty nice. Got the news of where to avoid before the news channels. Edit: removed a star because I could not get it to stop playing. I would pause the stream, close the app and clear from running apps but it would just start itself back up.

Sorry but I got turned off right at the start. I tried to search for my town. I found the search function, typed in the name if my town and hit enter - the search bar went away and Nothing happened, there was no message saying that my search had failed... in then tried to scroll down to my state, but that didn't work either. I was looking for system that was easier to configure than Broadcastify but since that client didn't work, there's no point in looking further.

When it works, it is great. I hear static more often than not even with full service. But, when it is clear, it is great to hear everything. I noticed Mecklenburg County Police scanner is not on the list anymore...That defeats the purpose for me. I like to be "in the know" when it comes to my community. It makes me feel safer.

My friend loaded a similar app on her phone telling me her's was better but as we both listened to our phones everything was the same except for the fact that I heard everything several seconds before she did using Police Scanner X and in real life those several seconds could mean the world to someone putting this app to use ! Great Job!

Works really well and is actually free!!! If u dont mine ads but they dont interfer with the scanner in anyway and u dont have to watch to use. so i dont even really notice them. If ur looking for a free working scanner of great quality this is it.

This app seems to only have pre selected stations. This is very limited. I need an app that allows me to also enter the scanner frequencies manually, giving me a real scanner that I control. I will give you 3 stars because what you have works.

Definitely very interesting. But, there's no visible way to turn off the scanner app? That's one annoying flaw that should be fixed. Too many ads going on, and could be too addictive for some.

It's works. Although where I am I feel like they use their cell phones more then their radios. Not the EMS or Fire. Works great with them. 4 stars because there is always room to improve. Like maybe when they talk with their number codes, the break down could be on the screen. That would be helpful.

They took my town of Dracut Massachusetts off the list I will have to delete this app, this Every time I shut this off it won't restart. I have to uninstall it and reinstall it for it to work. But when it's working it works okay. I'm running a Galaxy S5 Samsung

The App has a wide range of police and other channels and doesn't seem to be dogged by technical problems which affect other scanner apps for Android. I thoroughly recommend it!

Comes in clearly and quickly with a fairly easy to use menu. Ten codes translation is a nice addition. Is it possible to add a closed caption window option that can hear and translate all codes bcuz that would be awesome!

Thank you for a great app it does work but if y'all don't care to make the app speed up a little bit faster and sometimes it'll glitch but other than that like if I go out of one channel and go back to it from another Channel it won't let me access that same channel that I just came out of but a big thank you for the app it does work pretty decently.

I can't stand to download an app and be interrupted by unrelated, constant ads. If you can't afford to put out the program without having ads to sponsor and screw up the function, then don't waste our time putting the app out there.

Really nice app. Convenient and I know if anything bad is going on in my area. And when driving I'm aware of any issues that would interfere with roads being blocked off or traffic backed up. Thanks for the app amazing 9

Yahoo, just like it works in da south with all the right southern stride! This App. , right away was quick , to the radio call, imediately and deserves to put the others- simular app's completely left in da dust cuz its only usually fast working when an App. Cost mean green paper-backs to break -a-me.

I've heard fire n rescue, and very few other things, but an out-of-control alcoholic, unregistered auto, it's got potential to be helpful if you're driving and want to avoid the hot-spot. Traffic might be thick.

I love this app im a volunteer firefighter and do armed security and this app never once has been wrong. It also is able to be paused and replayed Would of done 5 stars but it turns off after awhile get this problem fixed and it would be 5 stars easily

Not exactly active all the time. Can't seem to rest on a channel often. Just continually scrolls. Other scanner apps will have activity when this app is idle. It works when it works though.
