PolyChrome - Color Old Black & White Photos

I have 17 grayscale images of varying size and resolution I always use for testing this type of app. I processed the 17 images first with Full Quality ticked and again with the setting unticked, finally I did a bit for bit comparison of the two results for each image and surprisingly both sets of images are exactly identical. UPDATE : Following correspondence with the Developer I can now confirm that the app is working as advertised and I have amended my rating from 4 to 5 ⭐.

Keeps stopping, none of these colouriser apps work, they either keep stopping like this one, or they don't colourise properly. Skin tones are patchy with some still remaining in B&W & clothes, hair, etc. not colourising at all. These apps just guess, "thats a bush, it must be green" is as good as it gets. There's no real colour interpretation going on at all so don't waste your time.

Good idea but..needs work. tried with a few different photos and parts of them look great but then other parts just look completely yellow or pink. could be a great app with some improvements

I saw another review with the same problem as I had saying: "if the error shows up it means the resolution is too low. I doubt that since the image I want to select is at least of 2k resolution.

I think your app does a pretty good job. After doing three photos I am unable to do more. I clicked the icon as you said in another post but doesn't do anything. Is there a paid version for this app? I would buy one, if not how continue using this app? I found out how to purchase. After I have played with it I will update my review....

Good quality unless your converting sepia photos. It just turns it green. It also has a tendency to make a person's head the same colour as the wall behind them

Barely changed the tint of the picture, won't allow me to watch an ad to get more credits, so I'm uninstalling after 3 failed attempts to color one picture from 1960.

Was good until I had to uninstall it since it wouldnt work, I can't afford to pay to upgrade it so I have to do the free. I'm on a mission to colorized as many Native American Indians pictures that I can before I die. And I have a following of over 10,000! So hopefully it will work again.

It does a decent job but says play an ad to get more credits. However it never plays an ad nor shows you how! If someone can help me with this ill change my review

It has converted several of my parents old black and white photos to colour, and I am happy with the quality. I have now purchased the app so I can do more

It seems a decent app but after converting a few images.. It stops and says view ad to continue.. Where this ad is, I don't know?

very happy with the results. tried the "high quality" and it didnt take as long as i expected, great app.

I used very high quality images, another app "Colorize" currently is showing the best colorized results for me. Idk but this app is still better than others.

Impressed by results. though it would not bring colors for everything. It turns color for sky, trees , vehicles.

I can't make a black& white photo into colour ... Whenever I try a pic , it would come "Unfortunately polychrome has stopped working."...

it uses cloud services and that it is NOT ok without notice ... it returns a poor .png image. useless app. don't waste your time.

If i select one (200kb size) image scan option Its loading morethan 20 min and cancelled it automatically. Im unable to use this app

Only coloured 2 photos then said ive used 3 credits. Then says check your connection to play ad for a credit.I have 100mbs broadband.

Not thst good. Everything seems pink. Teeth. Eyes. Etc. Pity it can't be more realistic. Would be great then.

I get an error each time I try to select a photo saying please select another photo, really disappointing

It is really poor quality that is not as shown in review and takes ages to process "high quality" rubbish.

It is very simple and does not produce images that are believable

nice aap because it converts many of old black and white photos into there original colour...

Poor quality photos and after 3 times you must pay so no thanks.

hahaa.. its actually not a photo editor.. it seems same as you insert any pics
