This is a great radiohead app, great synth music as well as what I would call dreamscapes allow you to move around in a free world. Classically sounding radiohead sounds will guide you. The app kills your battery but will also help you kill time. Moving your phone around is a must, and if you wanna stay in a world than just avoid the orbiting portal, as it will whisk you away to another 3d world. Enjoy, I did.

I miss the old polyfauna. It was more interactive than this. I can't move the camera anymore to look at different angles of the area or make lines and shapes with my control. The only thing I can definitely do is move the screen up or down with two thumbs. Which causes the animation and music to stop, unless I hold my thumbs to center the screen and hopefully balance it so it can auto play. This game wasn't worst but wasn't better. It's more of a random video launcher.

I think Boards of Canada got it right with that term, I think music is a vehicle to and for the human soul, it has the ability to transcend across limits self imposed by us, the seemingly most intelligent of life out there, so expose the youth to music, intelligent if possible, teach them a different side of existence, open up their minds, with music. Radiohead and their music has done the above for me, they can't do no wrong in their pursuit of musical expression, and this app design fits this idea well.

It reminds me the PS1 game L.S.D. Great world to explore, and music is outstanding quality. Wish there was more interactions though, but for free app this is must have. Beware that this app requires quite a lot of power and long period of gameplay could kill battery.

To this day I am not sure as to how these brilliant minds still have the ability to expand my mind and yet here is another fine example of melding these artistically awe-inspiring visuals with deep and provocative music. Cheers and carry on mates.

It's so relaxing! I love taking a hazy float through these dreamscapes before bed, makes me feel very warm and comforted. And the music is great too. It gets right to your heart and feels like it's mixing up a whole cauldron of stuff in there. One of my favourite apps of all time... thanks Stan, Thom and Nige x

Chances are you are trying to figure out if it's worthy of your precious bandwidth. Well I'll tell you in this next bit of text. Polyfauna is an immersible 3D game that throws you into the minds of the band Radiohead. This game to few seems to be pointless but for others, It's amazing. There is no objective as far as I can see. There is a floating galaxy that seems to throw you into a new world every time you walk threw it. Oh yeah, That's right. You have to move your phone around to look around. It's amazing. If you are in a stiff place you can place both thumbs on the screen and move them parallel in the direction you'd like but that ruins the immersion. Should you download it and give it a shot? Absolute. Will you like it? Probably not with out being a major Radiohead fan or a massive pot head. I did like it thoroughly and am a bit ashamed that I spent what seems like hours on it. I give it 4 stars because although the graphics are nice and the music is flawless. There is no direction.. There are no goals.. Unless you make them yourself. I hope this review helped.

The only ones I'd ever be buying and using (don't want to say 'playing' as they'd be much more than that) would be one's where thom yorke was involved. Exciting stuff!! (I would ask that you would take a look at what is causing the gyro to be a bit wonky in this though, thanks) EDIT: the new update has made it laggy, and it continually pauses to the point of breaking it. D'OH!

The app crashes right after the title screen every time. Too bad, I was looking forward to killing a little time with some good music. Nexus 6 on Telus, Lollipop 5.1.1

It doesn't matter where you are or what you're on, Polyfauna much like Radiohead's music has the ability to transport you to a different dimension! Albeit the newer update excludes the interactive capabilities of the earlier app, it's most definitely made way for cooler graphics. I've literally questioned thousands of things whilst just tripping on this gem. Lot of profound insight and amazing clarity can be found in this app. Not to forget inspiration. It maybe a little heavy to run, but worth it!

Totally new, soundtrack is more varied, a glimpse of future Radiohead material. More varied interaction with the environment, panning up and down emphasizing treble and bass respectively. The red dot is replaced by a disembodied galaxy, whisking you away to another strange world

Like the classic video game Battlezone, this would have been ground breaking, had it been released in 1980. A ten minute aimless 'wander' around the wishy-washy, nondescript landscapes, serves as conclusive proof, following the video for Lotus Flower, that Thom Yorke has finally disappeared up his own poorly rendered bottom. Remember the early days of Windows Media Player, when you would stare at the visualizations for ages? You won't do that here.

The one was kinda laggy but it worked the new one stops every time i open it and idk what to do

I guess I'm picky. Maybe I don't get it... But I've just always expected more from games and apps. In my mind android is possibilities yet all I see in the app world is trash.. Cheap and boring and frankly.. Insulting. No other app has ever impressed me like this one. Thank you..for respecting people.

It always lags for me. Also, you should add settings to change the graphics quality and sensitivity

Please allow the option to play our own music, im sure a lot of people along with myself have songs they want to play to this.

After less than a minute it freezes, music stops, visuals start looping in 2-3 seconds. There is nothing you can do except tap the screen to smudge some shapes...useless :(

Buggy..haven't had any experience on the app so far because it would glitch and stop working altogether. It looks visually stunning for the first 5 seconds, but then starts lagging and wacking out and doesn't work after that..

Kir. S. Jun 2, 2016

Glitchy and pointless, endless radiohead video. Barely interactive. Make it work better and make it a cardboard experience.

Dav. K. Oct 23, 2014

Be patient and look around it is an environment worth exploring. It will sense your movements if your phone is smart enough.

I like this app, it has a cool idea, not quite sure what that is, but it's cool. I probably would have liked it more if I didn't get disoriented and scared from that feeling so fast.

Jom. F. G. Jul 10, 2015

I didn't wanted to stop looking at the app it's just amaizing. I really admire thom yorke I'm in love w his brain!

I really like this app, but truth be told I was kind of confused by it. But the music is really relaxing

Dam. O. Mar 5, 2017

Please give us the old school one back. The new one freezes up big time.

jac. m. Sep 21, 2014

Loved the old version, but this new update has some nice trail effects and more colours, a lot more geometric patterns and shapes, also some worlds had some really nice textures to it, and to top it off, it has lovely music from radiohead, its a trippers delight, heats up the phone pretty bad though.

Aim. B. Apr 29, 2015

I download the app and when it finishes downloading it always fails because of an "error" .
