Polymetronome: The Polyrhythmic Metronome
The metronome features:
- Simultaneous play of two subdivisions or clave rhythms and one configurable click.
- The click features different time signatures, subdivisions and sounds.
- Speed can be altered between 1 and 300 BPM.
- The subdivisions/claves can be played one after another for a fixed number of bars. This is ideal for practicing the transition between different n-tuplets or clave figures.
- The metronome visualizes the chosen rhythms by the use of two rings. The position of a note is clearly visible in it's relation to other notes and the click track.
- The metronome also allows for ring rotation, so the first note (the "1") can be assigned to any note.
- For each rhythm and the click track the volume can be chosen individually.
- Each rhythm and the click track can be assigned to the the left, right or both of the ear-phones.
- The metronome includes a variety of accoustic and electronic samples to chose from.

I have the free version. It suited my needs perfectly. I'm just getting into polyrhythms on piano. You can put whatever beats you need. I have compositions to learn with 4 against 2, 2 against 5, and 4 against 3. The concept of learning polyrhythms isn't too difficult but it helps to create the rhythms you need on this app rather than take the time to tap it just right on your own or find some YouTube videos with chatty Cathys talking about polyrhythms before they get to the actual rhythms.
The sound on the first beat is slightly offbeat! That's a mess and so not in rhythm! For a moment I thought I finally found a good poly metronome. Not! Uninstalling.
Difficult to navigate. The UI is messy and some parts of it are not accessible due to spacing.
Ads cover up the bottom row of buttons. I would purchase the premium version if I could get to it on the UI
Very nice and useful metronome, for compas or charleston rhythms. The possibility to save configurations will be usefull.
i paid, shoukdnt see ads. ad covers option and other button, learn how to use emulations, u fukd up the UI big time in this downdate.
Worked for 30 seconds, could be amazing tool but ad banner pops up and throws the whole ui into an unusable mess.
The ad banner covers up some of the buttons, and there is no tutorial or help explaining how to use the app.
coool idea, better as a second metronome app. THE ADS MOVE THE APP AROUND AND I CAN'T ADJUST IT. PLZ FIX.
Needs new update. Was a great app but now the screen and sounds glitch when playing. Please fix!
Nice app, but on my Moto G6, the add is block the buttons below the headers "ADVANCED" and "OPTIONS".
This is a great polyrhythm metronome app. A third ring possibility would be great.

Hey, great app! Good visualization and I like the choice of changing the sounds and also having a click, effectively having three polyrhythms. My one complaint is the lack of swing. In would be great to have a variable swing (or at least three swing settings, dragging, normal and rushed for instance, if that's easier to code) for each of the polyrhythms. Thanks!
Very useful app, there is a bit of latency with the two sounds, there not exactly synced up, creating a bit of a inconsistency, a flam if you will if you line up both to the same time meter. As this is a Rythm application timing is crucial, if you can tighten up the timing it would be greatly appreciated! :D
App can't even keep time. It keeps glitching out and resetting the beat at random moments.
I love this. It allows me to practice 3 against 4 and 6 against 4 easily, which are the two subdivisions I use most often. Thank you!
Needs smoothing out, multiple graphicall issues. Adds too close to bottom UI. Frequency seems solid, but auditory issue when two beats overlap.
High potential to be useful, but too confusing and not at all intuitive or user friendly.

I really like this app. There isn't anything else quite like it on the market. It's thoughtfully designed and easy to use to create complex poly rhythms. However, the ads at the bottom of the screen cover access to some important controls making accessing those controls impossible. This occasionally renders the app unusable. I'm hoping the developer will fix this bug. If rate it 5 starts at that point.
