Pomodroido: A Pomodoro Timer

This very simple Pomodoro™ Timer will help you concentrate and be productive. You can customize the pomodori and break times to fit your work style.
Pomodroido was the first Pomodoro Timer on the Android platform, hundreds of thousands of people have used this app to make the most of their time. Read the reviews to see how our users have stayed productive with the Pomodoro Technique® and Pomodroido app.

The Pomodoro Technique® is a popular time management method developed in the late 80's. You break down your work into 25 minutes intervals separated by short breaks.

This timeboxing technique can help you concentrate, avoid procrastination, and get work done.

If you like it and use it often, please consider buying the Donate/Pro version, which offers some additional features such as Tasker integration.

It does not have a todo or tasking system (yet), but I have added a few game mechanics, starting with a leveling system. Attain higher ranks by getting your work done. And brag about it!What's coming in the next versions? (our priority depends on your interests; so please e-mail me with feedback!)

Nice app but need to improve it

I've been using this app for some now days and it has proven really useful to increase my productivity. I haven't tried other Pomodoro apps so I can't compare it in terms of functionality but the design is actually really poor. I don't know how many people are using this app in Android 1.6 but I think the app should be converted to the current Android design guidelines. If you want to increase your productivity, this app will help you greatly.

I like the customizable work and break session lengths. The mini-RPG like progress tracker is a great idea. The user levels up by accumulating completed work sessions. However the alarm just don't work on my phone that runs Android KitKat, so I keep working through the supposed break sessions. This bug makes this app useless for me, unfortunately.

I think this is perfect except for the lack of task integration for non pro users. Also, there should be a way of finishing your pomodoro besides pressing stop and erasing it, sometimes I have a minute or two left and can't do anything until the timer finishes.

I love the way this application treats the Pomodoro technique, it also includes a game-like feature so you can do your Pomodoros and making a progress in your level. The only thing I don't like it's the design it's so Eclair, I guess this would be more awesome with a new design more consistent with Holo.

For prospective users, this app lets you customize how long you want you pomodoros and breaks to be, how many you do before you get a longer break and how long that longer break is. It tell you how many you've done each day and each week, but resets each week. You can turn the ticking sound on or off (it would annoy me) as well as select how your phone says your pomodoro is done. It won't however, immediately start your next pomodoro, which is great for me. I actually came here looking for the Pro version of this app. I can't find it yet but I would be more than happy to pay for a version with Tasker and Analytics. Maybe also adding the ability to make your pomodoros automatically start. In sum, for a free app this is amazing. I love it and it's helped immensely.

Typically I'll use 50% of my Wildfire S battery per day with some light internet and phone usage. However, running Pomodroido for 2h (four 'Pomodoro' units) used up about 35% battery! Real shame because an otherwise good app.

Very good timer for the pomodoro technique itself. The major issue I have with it, and the reason I haven't bought the pro version is that it appears to be storing data in a non-standard place that can't be backed up. So when I flash a new ROM, every other app gets it's data fully restored via Titanium, but Pomodroido resets me to 0 done and trainee level every single time. The promised public profiles would presumably solve that as it would be linked to a remote account instead. But as the developer seems to have lost interest it isn't looking likely.

The only feature this timer is missing for me is the ability to send notification sounds over the media channel and not the notification channel. When I'm at work I want notifications over my headphones and keep the ringer muted on my phone. This has the unfortunate side effect of muting the notification sound in the app. The clock tick plays over media audio so it works fine.

This app got me through my final year at university and I currently use it to ensure I'm productive enough during my PhD. Only complaint; Sunday pomodoros don't seem to count towards my weekly total. Not sure why, but it would be lovely if this was fixed as I often find myself working at weekends (which is a lot less painful if I feel I can count it!)

I use this every single day. The levels are hokey, but surprisingly effective. I find myself actually striving to reach the next level. I hope they keep this simple. The only fault I can find is that the tasks on Sunday do not update the "this week" total, but I really don't care as long as the "toda" and "progress to next level" totals update properly.

Nice clean app. Has a good ticking sound. It will be even better if/when achievements and challenges were added. Also, bigger issue! The long break needs to be allowed to be up to 30mins as in the method itself. Would be nice if the alarm was a bit louder too but that might be my phone. Keep up the good work developer!

I experimented with a lot of the pomodoro timers available, and this is the best one so far. The only feature I really miss is an easy way to count internal and external interruptions. Also, it doesn't bother me, but there should be an option to disable the ticking sound when the clock starts.

Does the trick. I sort of wish there were a little more flexibility on options with a notice if a setting violates the Pomodoro code of honor or something. Even if I void a, Pomodoro I still need a break timer. Actually, taking a break is probably even more important if you get distracted.

A. G. u. Aug 20, 2012

The perfect mix of simple and flexible! Every aspect of Pomodroido is configurable (amount of time, ticking sound, etc.) but the purpose of the app never gets lost in options and additions. Moving through levels based on # of Pomodoros completed is just the right touch for keeping enthusiasm, and it is in no way distracting. This kind if balance takes skill! Crucial for productivity and time management.

I dont like the choices of timer length - instead of giving us a few choices to choose, why can't we enter in specific lengths of time? The notification is also insufficient - I would like it more if it would open the app when the time is up rather than simply playing a sound.

This would be perfect if you could create presets: the default mode is great for desk work, but I prefer shorter pomodoros for cleaning up in my apartment. If I could preset different modes for different kinds of work, I'd be delighted.

It has been tremendously helpful in the past few weeks i've been using it. One minor glitch though- the weekly counter stopped adding after reaching 58. Not sure if it's a one time thing. I'll definitely continue using it.

I really like the leveling system. This would be a perfect pomodoro for my usage if you could export the pomodoros. Waiting the new versions enthusiastically.

Works perfectly on Nexus 7 (2012). Runs smoothly, simple to use and helps me stay focused while getting things done. Currently my favorite time management app. Flawless!

Est. Oct 19, 2016

I've been trying to set up the timer so that by the end of each session it rings or makes a small sound to signal it has ended but it doesn't seem to work. Only the vibrate function works

A. G. u. Nov 1, 2012

I would like to go Pro for the Tasker integration - that is what led me here. However, as another reviewer posted, I can't get over the ticking noise when the pomodoro starts, even when the phone is on silent - please give us the ability to disable it!

A. G. u. Jun 18, 2011

Great for exam studying! Would be great to have ticking only when screen is on (using other apps), also times that aren't multiples of 5 min.

Rac. B. Apr 20, 2014

I absolutely love thish app! The only drawback is that the maximum long break length that this app allows is 20 minutes, even though the pomodoro technique states that a break lasts 15-30 minutes.

A. G. u. Apr 17, 2012

I'd go 5 stars, but I got a force close on my first use when trying to take a break.

Car. G. Aug 27, 2014

I like it but since I change the pomodoros to 40 minutes it doesnt make a sound alerting me that Im done or that the break is over. I like that you can get titles and It has helped with a lot with my studies.

Great app, but the link on the start page to buy the pro version is broken, and I can't find it in the store by searching either.
