I couldn't customize the chicken sandwiches in the family meal ( we don't want mayo on them) but I can customize them without a problem if we pay for them a la carte or as individual meal. However that costs me more. If the app doesn't work and I have to order in store, I get no rewards. There should be a way to scan the receipt paid in store, to still count the rewards.
Guys pay attention when placing orders on this app. If your select delivery instead of pick up they Increase the price of the item by $2 and then they charge you a separate delivery fee. That's not cool why the extra $2 premium just for choosing delivery when it's the same food as the pick-up option. So they are basically double dipping adding a surcharge on the food for selecting delivery and then charging an additional fee for delivery.
Man when I started using this app a couple of months ago it was great for deals, until last week when all deals increased by 5 dollars. That pretty much just made them regular menu price. Not only that, the deals still display the good prices until you click on them. That's false advertising.
I inputted T-Mobile offer code, didn't hit redeem as to avoid some possible error while I nothing in cart and wasn't at checkout page yet. Turns out I lost the reward forever now. Almost decided to just not eat anymore. Very clean interface, works as intended. Slightly unintuitive: inability to add items to cart when stores closed; was redirected to item menu when starting my order from an already selected item on the Home, Offers tabs. In-app receipts for rewards and orders cannot be found.
I hate being lied to. I have called the local Popeyes to tell them the app doesn't work and everytime I'm told it works just fine. If it worked, I would be able to use it! I even found a corporate number to let them know that the mobile ordering does not work where I live. That was probably 2-3 months ago. App still doesen't work. My points are going to expire if I don't use them. GUESS WHAT!!??....... THE APP DOESN'T WORK!! If you're going to have a mobile app, make sure it works.
You can never get off the page stating confirm store on top of pmt screen. You can't select mac and cheese for 10 cents more. You can't order binguets. You can't order the parts of the chicken you want. Once in awhile the order will go thru then at the drive thru change the sides. You keep going around in circles selecting the order over and over until if you can get the order. Very frustrating.
The problem with this app is that your restaurants penalize your customers for using it. So far, I had no good experiences with it. I went to one location and they didn't get the order right. I went to another location, the order was correct, but they told me at the window to park on the side to allow customers ordering at the menu board in real time to get their orders first. I was being punished for paying in advance and the other patrons had priority. Your app sucks! What's the point?
They changed delivery fees so they want to charge $5.99 (instead of $3.99) for stores 6 or more miles away from the delivery address. My address is literally less than 3.7 miles from the store and they are still trying to charge me $5.99? I've also seen the prices change in app, it will be one price on the menu and then when added to cart (with no changes or extras added) and it suddenly goes up $2-$3. They're trying to milk you for money.
Very nice app, it helps with wait times at the restaurant and the rewards plan is amazing. One thing I have noticed is I am unable to choose my sides for my meal and I am forced to have cajun fries when I prefer mash potatoes instead. Hopefully an update will arrive that can resolve this issue.
Usually the drive-through was pretty quick but the last time that I was there I sat in the drive-through line for 31 minutes just to get a fry and a cinnamon Apple pie and the fry was ice cold and the pie was hard I was so upset.. And when I said something at the drive-through window the gentleman tried to justify it by saying they were shorthanded. Indeed. They could have explained that over the speaker when you pull up to the drive thru but they didn't. The app is great the store sucks
App used to work fine, can't actually use now. App is telling me it is going to send me a code to login into my rewards account but never sends it. Deleted app on phone, reinstalled, and tried on 2 different laptops with no luck. I Won't be going to Popeye's until they fix this.
Certain things are customizable. If you cant even put in the app to have no ice in your drink, then you messed up. Like seriously. It's a drink. I end up pouring the drink out just to fill it up myself with a soda. Plus some chicken combos you can't customize. I am a darj meat kind of guy and yet I end up going to the location just to say I want only dark meat. Everything should be customizable
I'm sincerely curious what Popeyes hope to accomplish with this app. I've tried to use it many times, and what I've learned as a user is that the app regularly will allow you to place an order for items that are completely out of stock. Not just they actually have the product and it needs to be cooked, but they knowingly sell product being fully aware that it's unavailable. And if this isn't bad enough, turning the money was taken in a fraudulent manner in the first place, refunds are cumbersome
1 of the worst app experiences I've ever had. I'm from LA, so seeing Popeyes had an app got my attention. Ordered delivery only to get half of my order which was still wrong. Tried to resolve in app, but it stopped working completely. Had to drive to location because they don't have phone service in-store. Spent 2.5 hrs back & forth with location manager & door dash for fix and/or my refund. Bottom line - this app is worthless.
Avoid at all costs! Placed and order and after waiting 25+ minutes in the drive though, they couldn't find my order. Had to send email in hopes of asking for refund because employees there were not helpful. Apparently they ran out of chicken tenders. Terrible service. It was not like that before.
This app is trash. It took my T-Mobile Tuesday code, but it didn't give me my offer. I tried again and it says "sorry, that code has been redeemed" The "find my location" is a joke too. I'm in the parking lot of Popeyes and it can't find me? Update: The app manager contacted me and was able to compensate me for the non working code. Great response time!
Used to work fantastic. Now every time I try to order, I get to the payment screen, it tells me that they're unable to place my order, then I change my payment, then the restaurant is "unavailable." Edit as of 4/20 Still doesn't work. Worked one singular time, then I get the "we're unable to place your order, try again." And when I try again, the restaurant is unavailable. Frustrating as all get out. Even sent into the survey to try to help get it fixed.
Have yet to be able to actually use the app. It constantly crashes before an order can be placed; that is if I am even able to find a store accepting mobile orders in my area. Our local store is notoriously slow and iffy on customer service so attempting to get around this by way of the app was also thwarted.
I always have trouble using the app. Not very user friendly. It would be really helpful if it recognized a location when you are near. We were not able to use our app in another city. It was confusing to order the free chicken sandwich offer. Love the food...not the app
My first order was hot and ready with one piece missing from one of the boxes family meal. Prices are too high! I'm the one that didn't want to cook. I paid for it. Second time got a warm semi cold fish sandwich meal. Not worth the price. The app works great just not affordable.
# times used: Various Issue: The app had too many issues from the start. Transaction would not go through mostly. Eventually they addressed this issue, after months. Most recent issue: T-Mobile has a code from their Tuesday freebie. Their freebies usually only last a week and contacted customer care and got a comp. I've tried to clear cache, sign out and back in, and Uninstalled app to reinstall. There is only 1 day left and still haven't been able to access that freebie to put my code.
The rewards program is not to par with other fast food reward programs. Unlike all other fast food apps that I use, this does not give you points for purchases made to the local place, only for online orders. All other apps that I use McDonald's, Wendy's, Cafe Rio, Moe's allow you to get points when you buy at the store. This app is basically useless unless you want to buy online.
I tried to use in combination with t mobile Tuesday, when I went to redeem it , it said it would be in my offers, however it was not and when I put the code in again it said already claimed. Furthermore, I went to order anyway, and it will not load and let me finish checkout. After, finally, loading I submitted the order, it said say the name at drive thru for pickup. When I get there they told me it takes 30 minutes before an order goes through their system and they don't see it.
Tasty Chicken and I would give this a 5-star, although it does need a fix on the payment method because Everytime I add my credit card number . . . .. . . It does not function properly & gives me a rough time typing in my credit card number. So, I hope this is handled because I do want to pick it up and be simple with my purchases.
The prices are incorrect when using coupon offers for pick up options. Also unable to create account with email which was never used before. The app states an account already exists which is false. Please fix!!
A decent app but still has flaws. Could be a bit more user friendly with some better descriptions. For example in the app you can get a biscuit a la cart. While the pic shows 3 biscuits and the menu states A la cart biscuits "plural" this is 1 biscuit. As of yet there is no way to order 6pc or 12pc biscuit without ordering them at the individual price. I'm expecting to find more similar flaws as I use the app but as of this review have only used the app twice.
Most of the time when I order something it says item not available when it was clearly available when I went inside to order. I will probably rate this as one of the worst apps out there. But I just keep coming back because Popeyes has a great product.
Literally took me 20 mins to place an order because the app constantly freezes or crashes. That, and it will keep loading forever forcing you to close it out and start all over again. This is even after updating. I'm using a fold 3. I also find it odd that you can't order combo meals and only dinner meals. If I want a drink it has to be separate yet the store itself sells combo meals... it's 2022 and yet this app is such a pain. Other restaurants apps are far more streamlined.
I made a purchase for $26.74 with taxes from the app and was charged $32.09 instead of the $26.74. When I contacted support via the "need help" button they said they would refund me $26.74 but instead a second purchase for $26.74 appeared on my card. I was told in the support ticket to contact my credit card company after the mess that Popeyes made.
You're better off taking your business to another place. We downloaded the app to order for seemingly good deals but it turns out there's no way to check out with card information for pick up. So we had to go to the physical store. None of the deals on the app were available in-person including the meals. We were giving "similar" or "replacements" only to be charged way more for way less food. Unless the app is fixed (and the website cause we tried that too) don't believe meals or deals.
