Populele Smart Ukulele

I loved this at first, very easy to play and work with. However, you need to be connected to the app to be able to play easily because the dots dont come up on the fretboard unless your connected. Also, the app and ukelele do a horrible job of telling notes right from wrong during fast songs. Overall, it is an ok way to start, but be ready to be very frustrated when you get stuck on a song and can't get past it. I have been stuck on a song for about a week, but can't get past it.

I tried to pair populele with both Samsung note 8 and iOS. On android it recognize simple chords but when it comes to challenges sometimes it does recognize but 95% time it doesn't. Super frustrating because i can't advance. I thought that I am doing something wrong but after trying on iOS it works better and recognizes in most of the cases. Very sad that it works so bad on android, at least note 8

Nice app, but I would prefer if you add more strumming patterns and exercises, since the chords are wide available, but the strumming is the trickiest part of the playing. I completed the games in 2 days, but since I can't strum, I can't play the songs from the the library. Anyway I like my populele and the app is a nice addition.

Really horrible. Used to work great when I got my POPULELE. Now the app is not functional. And the weak information about downloading an older app does not work. Popuband is not supporting the people who buy it's products and it keeps promoting new products. The App at this point can pair with the populele but will not down load songs. It will freeze when you start playing your exercises. It asks for permission for your contacts and to make calls when all it needs is the microphone. And as everyone here is finding out. The app doesn't even work as promised.

Too heavy and to fast for beginners. It is intended for beginners and learning isn't? note: in order to connect via Bluetooth you need to grant ALL permissions, otherwise it would not be able. Another thing is that application is not able to detect correct accord all the time. Ukulele need to be close to the device mic. And not sure why Xiaomi did not put microphone or magnets inside instrument and transfer signal via BT. My cellphone (lg g6) gets reall hot. This could be made much better Xiaomi.

I had rage quit on "do your ears hang low". And want to stop playing because such lessons. Please, make the possibility to skip intro at least Also I had to switch phone to iPhone so that the app could recognise notes And it's annoying to reconnect 3 times via Bluetooth if you want to tune

the problem is the tuning needs to be exact. if you play a youtube vid of the ukulele chord on the tuner and it registers as correct, than the issue is getting the tuning down. took me an hour to figure that out. then you need to literally finetune the populele as the tuner is both too sensitive and not sensitive enough. it allows for it to be a little off to let you get started but that makes scoring off. and clockwise means staring down at the knobs for all four of them (another 15min for me).

its so hard to advance because it seems that the app has a hard time recognizing your strum when you play the ukelele. so even if you hit C so many times. the app just won't recognize it. maybe they should make some adjustments so we could move forward easily and use the app fully.

I love this app so much! The actual Populele is great quality. Although I think that they should add a chord warm up so that every time you start you have they choose to warm up before jumping into a song.

I bought my populele awhile ago and the app used to work fairly well. Now it is completely unusable on Android. Everything from the app sounds robotic and slow on my Oneplus 7t pro. This company is garage, it continues to market this product and hasn't updated the app in over a year. The website banner takes you to download an older version that is even more broken! Not to mention that is from a google drive which extremely insecure and unprofessional. Stay away from this company, product is DOA

The Populele is a great tool to aid learning. My Populele developed a fault but thanks to the folk @Popuband, I was able to fix it myself after receiving the part that failed. Not only a great Instrument; but excellent after sales service! I cannot praise the instrument and company loud enough!

This app does not work what so ever. It never responds to the chords you play, most of the time, it will move on when you play the chord incorrectly. I would not recommend this as an app to help you play the ukulele, most use of this is to turn on the lights.

Just got my populele. After watching the video in the cords exercise/game, the C cord lights up on my fretboard but I can't do anything. It looks like it is stuck there. I click on the hand icon and the fret icon, I play the chord on the Uke... Nothing!!! I can't move forward. I tuned the instrument previously. I have downloaded the apk from the website and have not updated as advised. What do I do now?

I liked your app, apart from a lot of needed permissions, but I couldn't use it on Xiaomi MiPad4 (Google Play store says it's not compatible), and now I can't even update it on Xiaomi MiPad1, so basically I can't use it anymore. I you could fix it, please, I'd be happy to review my rating.

The app is driving me crazy by not registering my tunes into the game and play section . eventhough i play the right tunes i always fail and it seems like there is microphone issue.

This is so frustrating, one thing when you don't know how to play and miss notes, but app simply doesn't hear anything you play, nor throught the phone, or headphones!!!

Beijing Visual and Sense: this is all the reason I bought the populele2 and now I found it can't even recognize my playing tunes and let me advance, even in the first lesson/game after several hours of hard work trying. So disappointing and you know how much expectation we had when we saw your advertisement? There is so much frustration among other users too. Please fix it asap so we can enjoy your app and the populele. I will be willing to change the rating after the issues are fixed.

All songs in library are out of sync with chords and even lyrics given are out of sync with chose chords. it's very frustrating.

My Populele 2 play nice, but app doesn't sync any good. Sometimes the notes are not even recognized correctly, although I play exactly the same as shown in the app 🤔🙁👍🏻

Edited: the ig us support is amazing, probably one of the best I've encounter and they have helped me sorted out with an old version of the app.

Was about to buy a Populele 2 but saw how badly the app was rated and that it hadn't been updated in over a year. Tells me they don't care about the product or fixing bugs

This is an absolutely horrible app. If you have an android, do not get this product. It will not connect to your phone. I have tried everything imaginable and ot just doesn't work.

Terrible on android. It doesn't hear what I'm playing so it's impossible to progress thru the steps to learn everything.

Used to work beautifully, but it doesn't even stay open after trying to connect with the Populele, the app closes on its own.

The day I received it was able to connect to de bluetooth wth de app. But now I tried to connect, it is unable. Pls fix tis asap.
