The filter works by blocking out harmful material that may be found when browsing the internet and switching on Safe Search for a number of search engines (e.g: Google, DuckDuckGo, Bing, etc...).
Works over both Wi-Fi and Cellular (2G / 3G / 4G etc..) networks and remains connected when the device restarts.

I have given this application full access to my phone and I used a password I wouldn't be able to remember. It worked perfectly but for some time now, I realised the private DNs has changed to " couldn't connect ". Because of that, i am unable to access the internet. Even Google. Please assist me.
Rating 4 stars just because without the paid version I can easily install it But so far it's an amazing app . Even blocks explicit content on my samsung browser Really handy
It seems to always deactivate on its own stopping the protection and am getting very upset can they please add extra protection that if it is somehow stopped the person who created it can make an activation sensor that can tell when it isn't functioning and it fixes automatically
I think this is the best you can have on a non root Android smartphone. I have tried many others. Nothing as fool proof as this.
Wow ❗ wow ❗ wow ❗ See guys, I'm the type that make a reweiw on Google Play Store,I believe it's a wasted time, but believe me Perfect Apps always force me to. SafeSurfer really amazed me, I recommend it to ya'll, you might wanna get a little difficulty in the usage but if you can follow the lay down usage procedures, examples by using the Private DNS and so on, this App Will over satisfy you, it doesn't stop working or crash anyhow. This app is definitely a step in the right direction, but there are still some disappointments. I was really impressed when testing the effectiveness, hence the high rating. However, it can be pretty easily disabled via ultra power saving mode, and then enabled again when turned off like nothing happened. If this app is fixed so that it can run anytime, that would earn it a 5 star rating.
App used to function well. When set up correctly, it automatically blocks and filters out the majority of inappropriate or adult sites. It also can be set up to disallow uninstallation, and limit results in app like YouTube, etc. Was well worth the monthly fee when it was functioning correctly. It constantly crashes on Android 9 on an S9, and multiple emails to support have gone unanswered for over a month. While it's inexpensive, the lack of response or fixes have led me to use an alternate solution, and I'd be wary of trusting this app until problems are solved. I've switched to using Purity Browser, which is a browser app that blocks inappropriate sites, and also allows for locking of other apps (such as other browsers). If these problems don't get resolved I'll have to stop paying the subscription, I've just been holding out hope for these fixes to arrive. Samsung phones do have background processes to put apps to sleep that often crash; disabling these is necessary to make sure it runs properly on startup, but it doesn't prevent frequent crashes.
Good app, just a request to fix an issue for me... The screencast block feature works most of the time, although when the screen goes black, for example something is loading, the app thinks this is highly explicit, and so it does the blackout (kinda irritating). Please fix it (other than that its good). Also another note that the blackout feature only seems to work for me when the neutral confidence level is at 100%, but then it keeps on reverting it back to 5%.
This app looked really promising, but while I need a password to delete it from the homepage, I seem to be able to uninstall it through the Settings/ apps section of the phone, which makes it a bit pointless! I've tried downloading it numerous times and tried all sorts of configurations, but with no joy. Any good advice appreciated with a big star improvement!
Best blocker available. Not only blocks domains, but also uses machine learning to detect explicit images on reddit or Google. Only issues are that the screencast blocker often asks for permission to turn on when it's already been given permission ~30 minutes ago. Only a minor inconvenience though. Also cool that you can choose between either VPN/DNS blocking, screencast blocking, or both.
It's good and works properly but slows down my internet speed.
When the filter is on it works really, really well. Hubby tested it to see how easy it would be to bypass and it was really difficult. However, in the couple of weeks we've had it the app has turned itself off at least 2 times. It is hidden in a folder on the phone and only I know where it is, so I know that no one else is turning it off. For this reason I will have to look elsewhere. I can't have the app randomly turning off leaving no protection

Can't start the protection. If I press Get protected it says about VPN. But the OK button does not work (!!!) and there is only way to press Cancel button (that works). Plus then the app starts occuring when doing other stuff. It's actiing as if it was a virus. Please fix it. It's really great and I appreciate it a lot guys! Thanks for that
I thought the pin was to be entered at random to prevent deleting. no, instead i actually need the pin to use the app. thanks, i can't even delete it. is there any possible way i can delete it or reset the pin?
I downladed this app thinking it wa a miracle. I set a random password so i could never turn off the blocker and i was fine with that but i didnt know it would block EVERYTHING ON THE INTERNET. I cant even watch youtube now. I cant do a google search. Why???
App is great. However my kid always rotates the screen and it stops working. Then he can access whatever he wants. 🤔Please help with that
perfect, works exactly as described! I've tried so many other apps and this one actually works! Not only does it prevent you from assessing inappropriate sites, but it also stops the sites from even showing up on your search engine/browser! This app works exactly as it says it does.
Despite having the option selected, this app will not start up immediately once the phone is turned off and back on. When you open it, it says you must turn it on because you are not protected. When it is on, it works great. However, it does not run as it should even with the optional settings selected. If the issue was fixed I would rate it higher.
Unlike the apps like blokada and dns66 which depend on the hosts file you provide them, Safe Surfer blocks some search engine search results, too; search results from google, yandex, duckduckgo and bing are filtered regardless of your browser and your search settings. My two concerns would be the icon and page notifications. I would like to use this app without the phone owner knowing what's happening, I mean the pages just not loading (timeout or 404 error) and the icon hidden from the menu.
This app is great! Your kids can't see anything if they can't get anything! Totally shutdown there phones data, not to mention prevented them from getting/receiving group texts (do to data issues?). Also, the uninstall feature totally doesn't work. If you try to uninstall and then hit back, you can remove administration privileges without having to enter the pin! Then your kids simply have to uninstall the app! If you want something that prevents your kids from doing anything, this app is it!
Screen detection is very bad please fix it, detection works only in photo and portrait video, that too is not able to do it properly. This screencast doesn't work for YouTube landscape videos at all. Please fix it, after fixing it, I will give 5 stars to this app.
Very good app really useful and it really works.
The app is a good protective app. It's style of protecting you from harmful sites is amazing but I gave two stars because 1. When I switched off my phone abd switch it on again, the protection dissappears and I have to go to the app to get protected again 2. I can easily go to the app and unprotect my self, that's not good at all!

Not a perfect 5 star because I notice on my 5G phone if I have a weak signal it seems like I lose the ability to browse entirely if I go to wifi its not a problem. Also would like to see instead of hard blocking certain apps like Twitter if there could be a time limit usage and hard/soft block like with youtube. Reddit is the noticeable that you can still NSFW images. Overall this the best app on the market, and will continue to support them. They even have desktop & Mac versions for download.
The blocking of websites is top notch. That it does very well. However, the app will randomly stop running protection and I can access any site freely. There is also no way to truly block uninstall so if you want to bypass the app it is easy. Also, the app does not block anything on other apps. Screen cast protection is terrible at recognizing explicit and suggestive material.
If you use this with the aid of an app lock software, damn! You are far from any explicit content on any browser. So far of all the apps and methods to filter search results , this is the most effective.
Major improvement. They fixed it so it can no longer be 'Force Stop.' As a result, the only way to bypass it is to uninstall it. However, if you uninstall it, it is obvious that this has happened because you need to renter your log-in credentials instead of just a pin. Smart move. Block social media apps that allow porn. Any browser that gets downloaded, this app automatically works on it. Excellent app.
