Port Knocker

A basic port knocker client for Android. Similar to the other port knocker apps but with a nicer interface. Includes a widget and the ability to choose an application to launch after knocking. The media/storage permission is needed for the import/export feature which allows you to save your list of hosts and then load them later. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you encounter any bugs, or even if you just have suggestions. The code is open source and can be found at: https://github.com/xargsgrep/PortKnocker

Does the job. Simple and easy to use. There is only one little request. It would be nice to have a copy/duplicate host function.

Perfect. My only request is for an option to save and restore settings. That would be very useful for distributing knock codes among multiple devices or when changing phones.

The ability to control the delay between packets sets this application apart from many others. An excellent application!

Works great for TCP and UDP. I'd suggest adding ICMP knocking as well. For example ping a host with a custom byte size ping packet. Layer 7 string sending would also be a boon.

Love the app, maybe improve on the visual look of the widget.

It does one job, and it does it well! I use this to pop open back doors into last resort access devices coupled with 2FA. This makes some of the other features of this app quiet attractive to me.

Only works on non-cellphone networks like wifi connections. My cell phone provider won't transmit these packets. There are two fields set to 00 in the packets that probably are the culprit. I'll have to keep looking for a port knocker that will work over 3G, 4G etc.

No added fluff, plus it just works. This is exactly how applications should be. Works well with knockd on my laptop to let me get into my home network from my phone.

Would be great to be able to specify the contents of the packet though, I wanna send my own udp message!

could you please put ability to specify data to appear in packet as microtik routers allow checking of content, also it would nice if there was an option that allowed the program to send knock every N minutes in the background

Can't enter host name - won't allow a dot on S3

I am surprised that a port knocker looks nice and feels like a solid Android app, in addition to doing what it's supposed to do. Nice work! I also like the inclusion of a widget.

I am unable to enter any port number. When I am trying to be smart and use the paste function it clears all port fields.
