PortoDB Database

Started off fine, had a few problems, there appears to be a little querk. It appears that if you make a load of rows first, then add the data after, it won't save properly in the right order .... at least I'm hoping that's the answer to why it wouldn't save ...... other then that, very easy to use, 'does what it says on the tin'. Might be nice if there was a function where you could slide complete rows up or down, other then that, works nicely, worth trying out.

super incredible! honestly, it's so easy to use. I wanted to switch from excel because of how hard it is to search my spreadsheet for info. this app imported 2109 lines successfully and now I have it all, can search with ease. copy and pasting rows from one table to the next, needed this feature too, and it's here. I can't believe it!!! Thank you!!!!

PERFECT DATABASE I have been using PortoDB for years now and have shared it with colleagues at work. It works just fine, no annoying ads, utterly free and secure as the data is stored locally. No need of internet connection. But one thing should be fixed ASAP, and that is the ability to print out the data straight from the app and addition of academic results grade generator. If a school teacher can use it to store the students performance, then let him be able to automatically generate results.

Very useful app, although not able to run queries from within the app itself but you can do that externally. I send the database to Dropbox then can query it easily from linux. It doesn't deal with leap year, so 29th February becomes 1st March even if you enter it manually. This only happens in the app, it is saved correctly in the table. I do not wish to complain about this lovely little app though!

SO EASY and 100% Reliable!! I cannot say enough great things about the simple and searchable and savable databases this app allows me to easily create, edit and add data to, and pull up for a quick reference in a split second on the fly!! PortoDB remains compact and efficient -- with everything I need -- without any bulk!! THANKS SO MUCH YOU GUYS! :)

I’ve loved and depended on this app for about seven years, so much so that my Android devices have fully replaced a desktop computer. I can’t praise PortoDB’s simplicity and reliability enough. But I avoid the cloud like the plague so reading about the changes in the next app update due to Android 11 has given me a terrible knot in the pit of my stomach. Between the loss of clipboard access and other miseries in Adroid 10, and now this, I’m seriously thinking paper index cards are a way to go.

Brilliantly simple and intuitive, no unnecessary permissions. Databases held on SD* means it's possible to sync between devices using Syncthing. [* Looks like this may no longer be the case for Android 11, which would kill it for me]. ⏺️Wishes▶ ① that data in a related table was clickable and useable, (currently all fields bar link field are greyed-out & unusable. ② ability to create shortcut for a Database.

After reviewing I am pleasantly surprised, with a few glitches and a short wishlist. The app is simple to use and allows limited database functions. Editing on column types is simple to non-existent - using a column type 'PHONE' allows any characters displayed on a numeric keypad. I could enter "*0#(),;-+/N/" for a phone number. Wishlist: I would like to copy columns, total numeric columns, have a fixed footer row for totals. Which I believe would conform to a simple DB definition.

I have used this application for around 10 years now, and it is awesome. Simple, effective, very easy on the resources, free with no ads. I have around 20 tables in 4 databases. some of these tables have a few thousand rows, but the reaction time keeps being short. Thanks, Dev, and keep up the excellent work.

Thank God i turned off auto-update!! This app's main atttactions were: simple, unfussy design. AND independance from cloud. It WAS a genuine offline db. Latest update changes all that. 😞 What's worse - this most basic change to T&Cs was brought in WITHOUT warning. So much for transparency - and duty to forewarn loyal customers. At least i can keep my database info offline (because i had already turned off auto-update). while i search for a GENUINE offline database app.

Excellent Android replacement for Ilium Software's ListPro. I mostly use it to keep inventories of my stuff, books, DVDs, model railroad, spaceship models, you name it. 25 databases with multiple tables in each. I keep them sync'd between my phone and tablet. 100's of entries in some tables. I've been using it for years. Kept me from buying duplicates of stuff saving me lots of money.

Wish there was a paid version and I could donate. Have used PortoDB tons of times on multiple occasions – hands down, the best GUI SQLite DBMS for Android yet (several years ago I tested each and every one on Google Play and did not find any better alternative).

What it says on the tin: a simple DBMS that works beautifully. It is ridiculously easy to create DBs and tables which automatically create simple data entry screens. I am impressed.

Very useful app, thanks! ——— In dark mode, black rows are too distracting! Too much contrast with gray rows. ——— Swiping left or right on the table name would be nice to switch to prev or next table.

Simple and excellent. Was looking for a "basic" listing app capable of auto - filling date fields etc. No ads! Highly recommended.

May 2022: Lightweight, easy to use database with all the functionality I currently need : import csv into table, move/delete columns, sort, search then delete searched... manipulate as desired, quickly. Subsequent csv import that has new lines containing superset of values (columns previously deleted from dest table) is successful... smart! nice!

Was using Folder Sync to automatically back up PortoDB folder. Will now have to manually backup databases. Very sad! PortoDB was perfect for my needs until this update. EDIT: cannot open Android/data/... What if i do not have a pc? Still a lot more complicated than set-and-forget. 15/10/20: can't PortoDB ask me for permission to store the databases elsewhere (in shared storage?)?

Great app, very simple and strait forward. Unless I'm missing something, no possibility to make calculation fields. I'm in need of calculation with dates and/or times. Also field formatting could benefit greatly. Maybe a paid version with those mentioned functionalities?

It is a very nice and very light app for creating databases. Please add the support of the *.accdb file format and the feature of shifting table columns by dragging, otherwise shifting the columns by the 'Shift left' and 'Shift right' buttons sometimes becomes very frustrating.

Testing this app and find it very good. ❤️🥰😍 - for the checkbox option can you change the (x) to the correct sign. But after exporting the data, it will rather tell the opposite of the actuals. - can you also add drop-down list option for the colomn type.

Thank you for this great efficient tool. It just lacks two critical functions. Calculated field , unless I'm missing something. One to many relational structure. Or pivot table structure. Appreciate what you have done. Wish to see this project grow.

This has become one of my favorite go to apps. I keep all of my vehicle maintenance records, house maintenance records as well...I could not find an app with all of the fields I wanted and this app lets you make your own, similar to excel but more simple.

Brilliant! So far it has done exactly what I want with no confusing and unnecessary complications. It would be nice to be able to sort on a column from the menu that pops up when long pressing on a column header but other than that it is exactly what I would have written, if I could.

Why are all the images upside down? You have to hit rotate twice before hitting save. Theres alot of repetitive actions which need to be removed when attempting to put a pic in the pic column. Other than these problems very good app.

Very simple to use with an intuitive UI that makes navigation easy. Clean and unbloated with adverts or trial limitations. I'd happily pay toward the apps development.

Very simple and clean interface, easy to setup. Would be perfect for my use if pictures could be zoomed in more. Very impressed.

Brilliant and highly recommended. Please add text wrapping or give an option to set column width so the column width doesn't take a hit when long sentences are added. Looking forward to more updates :)

It's suite mobile relational databases system. Simple to use, but is not true compatible. I.e. if application installed in mobile device and used to built RDBMS we do not know where or which directory directory / folder saved. So if user wanna copy his/her database done the database frequently no appear on PortoDB folder, the user must convert it to csv file or export all rows to csv format. Eventualy some times csv output / export, can not convert to xls/xlsx format
