Nice to see this great game on Android. But because of the frustrating implementation of the throtle and steering of the ships I would avoid this title. Better get an Amiga emulator and play the original version
please fix the ship controls interface. steering a ship on an s9 is next to impossible since the interface is small and lies on the edge of the screen.
I have had POC for the PC since 1992, also bought the POC XXL & have thoroughly enjoyed it for many years. Looking forward to a realistic ship simulation on Android.
One of the greats, but controls are terrible in mobile version
As it was when I played this game on my amiga, brilliant stuff
as good as it was back then
One of my favourite games
The time limit on charters is broken.
I used to play this on my parents Amiga when I was a kid. This mobile version is a lot faster to load and I find the new joystick when controlling the ship a lot easier to use. Steering the ship around ice burgs and into tricky ports still makes my heart race. Anyone who has played the original version will enjoy this update.
Ports of call, nothing more and nothing less. I like the addition of the on-screen joystick controller, it works great. If you played Amiga poc you'll get a kick out of this, if not the game is slow progressing, tedious and outdated.
Played the first 6 houres without any problems. But then it started crashing. Now I can't even start the game, because after I want to load an old game it goes black and freezes. Will uninstall.
Pity music isn't there. Differcult to steer ships in Port, cool steering for radar avoidance though. Would be good if you could use the radar steering for port operations
Proof that you dont need fancy graphics and anoying music to make a great game. Even though it is very old it works very good with a smarphone, very stable and best of all it hardly consumes any battery at all 😀
Love the nostalgia. Shame that none of the game play was modernised, but it is true to the original.
I really want to love this game, but the cargo rates are miserly to begin with, then there are way too many random events that eat away what little margins you can eke out.
Useless income analytics, poor economic model, hard to access office with lots of ships in ports
Great that old classics gets out again. Loved this game as a kid
It's impossible to progress and earn money in this game.
I remember this from the Amiga. Addictive but gets old quickly.
Game was great for first few uses now unable to load game as it crashes and go's blank have uninstalled and reinstalled but still doesnt work
Can you add more ports, and also add philippines
Had this on the Amiga . . . . . ace . . . . . did you guys make a game called truck in on the Amiga which was the same as this except it involved trucks?
Can't get locate save button on Samsung Galaxy 7 edge
How do you use the save menu with a htc desire 300?
Best game
I loved this game on the Amiga, so I quickly bought it. As an app, it is horrible. I can tell the authors put almost no effort into converting this game. Standard controls don't work, it's next to impossible to control and the only way to exit it is to force a shutdown. I can see why they only offer a paid version. If you played it first, you would never but it!
Had the last version of poc on computer. Even with simple graphic there's no need for HD grsphics cause this game is definitely worth the price. Love it. Endless game mode is perfect. Thanks for bringing POC to android.
I used to play this on PC and its still tons of fun. The under lying mechanics of the game is really brilliant and years ahead of all the other games I have found on Play. For example, if you assign many ships to a string, the price for charter will drop - just like the real world.
Works perfectly on XOOM. Can be quite repetitive once you have mastered it but engaging nonetheless.
Dear Ports Of Call I am a long time POC player. And i just installed the android version. Although i really enjoy the classic version of the game. I think that the game needs a fresh new look especially the home screen. The format or operating system works perfectly. There needs to more modern graphics. And possibly implement the 3d options on smart phones. Im giving a 1 star until the graphics improve. I feel like im play a windows 95 game.
