It would be significantly better if it had a button to mirror the pose of one side of the body to the other, it would make posing 50% faster/easier/better. The only issue it has is that it takes an extremely long time to pose the body compared to other software. The app was always of poor quality until its steady stream of updates, if it ever has an update that adds in the mirror function I'll increase my rating to 5 stars, for now ArtPose Pro is probably a better substitute for this app, since it has extremely fast posing, there's also XNALara.
great app for art. I like everything about so far but gave it 4 stars because I feel like it needs the ability to toggle outlines on/off in certain view modes like "skeleton". it would be nice to have the option to see just the skeleton or skeleton with body outline. I also feel like the currently selected body part should change color, light up, or marquee so the user can quickly notice selected area without having to look at the indicator on the upper left corner. just my thoughts
Perfect, masterfully designed app with so much thought put onto details. I could list a few but they are a lot and all of them are robust and unique, no gimmicks. To rate this app below 4 stars at its current state, one has to be either too impatient to discover the intuitive posing/rotations layout or simply halfwitted... Thanks, such a great utility for Arts.
When I first downloaded this app I was using 6 different pose apps for references. With the updates I was able to down my usage to only this and one more app. The only thing missing , for me to use this app exclusively for all my projects and studies would be if it had premade poses. Even if not necessary, being able to cut down time by having poses to choose from and edit them is a game changer and time saver. Other than that, totally recommend it. Best app out there for students and artists.
Okay posing app if it was free, really bad for the price. There needs to the option to add clothes (even just underwear), edit facial expressions and a mirror tool for limbs. Other models such as animals, vehicles, furniture and even buildings and fantasy elements would be great. Tried adding a background from my gallery numerous times, doesn't work....Disappointed
I have been using this app for many years as sculpting reference and have been delighted with every update. Only critique is that the lightsources are fixed in relation to the figure. Moving the lights in order to explore form is a bit of an irritation.
Great app it helps me understand a little bit about certain body positions. There is one thing I would like you guys to implement, a feature where you can have moving animations and be able to record the movement so that way it can be played. It will help me even more. Anyway I love the app and hope you guys will add my idea in the future!
Love the App, WELL WORTH the investment for concept artists needing to find the perfect pose reference. The one thing I would Love to see is The Lighting styles and size of the source lighting. More importantly the facial Expressions would be great to mess with..much like moving a muscle I would Love to move the Mouth and tense up expressions or maybe play with 2 or 3 preset expressions maybe. Key here, Presets...those would be fun to have in the arsenal.
EXCELLENT. I've had this app since 2014, and this new major update has brought it back in line with its new competitors that have appeared over the years. If you want a serious yet user-friendly reference, this is your app. No silly manga gimmicks, no needless menu pages, but plenty of actual useful features right from the start. The only wishlist I have for it is to add a Loomis wireframe overlay ;) ... Great job guys!
It's a decent pose maker, but it's definitely not worth the money. Plenty of free pose makes offer multiple figures at once as well as props. Not only that, but this maker has rather disproportionate figures and unrealistic movements of certain parts. It's very difficult to get a desired pose. I wouldn't waste money on this, find a better one for free.
Generally decent, with a few problems. The biggest I ran into is that the hips move the entire model instead of the pelvis. This was a huge problem for me when trying to arrange most poses involving the lower body. Other issues I had were an awkward UI and unintuitive, cramped menu, but other than that, not bad.
Can you give something zero stars? Asked for a refund in a matter of minutes. Oh... And some of the settings are "fat" and "normal". Definitely not worth $6.99. Hope it works on user interface, better reset options to go back and start over when you've messed up, better assistance to help us older folks how to use the app without so much frustration. And, in all honestly, I loved the plus sized option. I love to draw and paint curvy figures.
The app doesn't work, I've been unable to pose the figure, it can be rotated and seen from all directions in anatomical position, the app doesn't allow any movement of body parts.
Great app, The developers did great with this one, really professional, and convenient. I got the app pretty quick, but I'm sure others may find it hard to use or to understand. I wish there was some what of facial expressions options, just a thought. Amazing app! Thank you very much for making it.
This is by far my favorite anatomy 3D tool. It's easy to use, completely customizable and they are always adding new things to it and making it better and smoother. I'm super impressed with it and whole heatedly recommend!
Drawing dynamic poses you do not always get the right muscle placement. With this tool I recreate the pose and I can look at the muscles and helps me draw them in the right position and angle. I love this tool.
After many years, I still use it as a portable reference. Amazing that it keeps getting updated with features. The UI takes some getting use to, but it has evolved with more options. To the devs: A++ and thank you.
Great app. The Random pose feature and different body sizes are nice. Lighting and movement are nice. Two things it seems to be missing that I have found in other apps are facial expressions and pre built hand poses.
for $7 could be better, could have more options and easier to use tools along with finger movement and toe movement and facial expressions, paid for it and i guess my expectations had probably been to high....hopefully there will be updates.
It has nice handy features like skeleton view and perspective tools, but the actual act of posing a model is INCREDIBLY time consuming. I'd have kept it as pose software if it was tap and drag functions, instead you slowly adjust each axis of rotation using a sidebar.
That's an amazing update! Bought it a long time ago and tbh haven't used it much because it was a bit clumsy to use but just being able to quickly generate random poses is going to be so useful when practising gestures!
Great refs app for artist.! Only missing thing is the scaling tools. It will be superb if a scaling function is available for each figure poses since humans comes in different heights and physics.
It's pretty good as a basic single figure poser. But it's just that. No multi figure. And considering it hasn't been updated in over a year. I doubt that will change
When you try and rotate or tilt the pelvis it moves the whole figure. the controls aren't as easy to use for posing. I did like the box idea... but it currently has a major flaw.
Needs more stuff. There's no way to adjust light source. You can't rotate character without losing direct lighting. There's no way to adjust or pose character. It seems like the app had these but removed them for some reason. Without these, the app barely functions as intended. However, the limited features can still help provide basic anatomy for character drawing.
