Its super misleading! I saw an ad for this app, and I thought it'd be super fun to play on trips, because I can just turn airplane mode on so theres no ads, but the gameplay was completely different than the ad! In the ad it showed a women playing the game and in the video she was trying her best to make that shape, but in this game, you're not trying your best to make a shape, you're given boundaries, and you get a vibration everytime you hit it. Very annoying.
The game-mechanics are fine... Exactly what one would expect, with some creative means to add difficulty later on. What makes this a really unenjoyable experience, however, are these pesky ads that pop up after nearly every level. You spend ~20/30 seconds on a level, only to then be forced to watch an ad that lasts just as long. Immersion and enjoyment = Broken.
Usually Voodoo makes games that I either really like or are very satisfying, but this one is very different, first of all it vibrates every single time you make a mistake which is very annoying and it has high boundaries. also, ads for this game on other apps or games are misleading, they tell you that you were going to be copying the shape of pottery that you see on the screen but really you're just destroying the pottery, and, SO MANY ADDS!!!
False advertisement. While this is a nice game in itself, it caught me off guard when I found out that it was not what I downloaded. The add has someone trying to make the pot in the picture as best as it can, while this game you have to not touch the green areas. This does get annoying though, when I try to get to the green, it will take one of my stars anyway even if i didnt touch it or I'm still swiping my finger. The game overall had a nice concept, but to me it feels rushed and unfinished.
This game is nothing like the ads. I thought that in this game you were able to actually carve the pots free hand, however you are given a boundary(which can be very touchy at times). "Pottery" is a relaxing, I will admit, but there are many better games than this one if you are looking to be relaxed (not to be rude). Also adding some sort of way to add/create your own pots would be a good feature to add.
it's a good concept. but oh my lord. theee are way. to. many. ads!!!! it takes less than a minute to complete a level, and theres an ad after every level. you can figure out that math. and the menu system is not good at all. the only way to adjust the volume is to stop the game completely so you can get to the main menu.
Ad City...I love pottery and this game caught my attention. I enjoyed how the game handled but I couldn't get over how many ads there were. I even had an ad pop up in the middle of the round. Not only were there a lot of ads, they were long ads that I had no choice but to sit through until I could exit right into another ad screen. It also was a bit disconcerting that you cannot play the game without accepting data mining. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this game.
I haven't been playing long, however I've already been able to see some great aspects and flaws. To start: The game is wonderful. I love the idea of carving down a shape and find these games relaxing. However I also feel the game dumped us into having obstacles too fast. I'd love to see a free play mode without the spikes. As well, I've noticed said spikes tend to be unreasonably sensitive. IE they're looping back behind the pottery and you can still hit them. Still a good game overall!
For one thing, ads for this game could be more honest, by describing the gameplay at all. You aren't making pretty multicolored pottery. There are only 4 levels before it glitches and freezes, and each level has two ads before it, that you have to x out of. The x for each ad varies in size, so some are more difficult to avoid. For the gameplay, you are swiping away the multicolored pottery from a central, very basic, neon green shape.
It's a good game, but don't play it when you're trying to stay really quiet. Anytime you make a mistake or beat a level, the app will ring. It can't be turned off un unless you watch an ad. Most of the ads are loop ads anyways so it's really just a scam. Also, since when is pottery about removing a colorful layer of something to reveal an ingly bright green shape?
This app either is not compatible with my kind of phone, in which case it should not be available to this model, or it is very buggy. Pottery loaded fine but the problems started after I pressed the play button. Instead of bringing me to level one, or even a different page, it stayed on the homepage and the tutorial appeared over it. When I tried to reboot the app, it kept doing it. I even tried to download the app twice. Nothing worked. Other VOODOO apps are great, though.
ads for game are misleading, plus multiple ads during game. after you get to a certain level, you are unable to 3star any round, as the pot shape requirements dont even match the cutting tool, ex. your tool is too wide to fit in the trough you must create. also uses a huge amount of storage, especially given the simplicity of the game graphics.
Fun game, but the ads are excessive. For 5 seconds of play you then have to watch 30 seconds of ads for another 5 seconds of play, and so on. Would be 4-5 stars if it was not for all the ads! Needs to give you a few puzzles between each ad for more balance. It's the worst I've ever seen in regard to volume and repetitiveness of ads and it's getting annoying making me not want to play.
this app is great. there are ads after every level but you can always skip them after 3-5 seconds. the only issue i have is with the spiked balls being obstacles as it's difficult to gauge when they're in the way and when it's safe to sculpt again. ruins the experience as they're in many levels in multitudes. wish there was a mode without them.
it's fun but thats it. nothing interesting happens gameplay wise, you get star ratings at the end of each level but you cannot go back to previous levels so that doesn't matter. ads are after every single level so the game is just annoying to even play and its just too easy. Unless you're an idiot chances are you'll never lose more than 5 of these levels. But I guess the very base gameplay is okay. it's kinda fun. I guess. why not.
I really hate the music that plays. It's beyond annoying!!! It's sooo gloomy and dark and then the long note that's held if you hold your finger down ugh!!! It makes my brain feel like its mush in my head! Why not have a sound that would actually sound like I'm making pottery?? I dont even see options that would allow me to change it. Maybe I overlooked it and I will go check. There are so many things that could be done better with this app. But the music just irked my nerves!! Uninstalling
this game is not as advertised. instead of molding to fit a shape you have to "reveal" a shape and if you accidentally touch it you lose points. however, the entire thing can be revealed and it will tell you there is still clay on it, so you have to touch it and lose a star to pass the level. don't waste your time.
This game is totally different from the ad, it vibrates A LOT and you can't turn it off, the spikes are too sensitive and too fast, no way to free sculpt, has a set shape for EVERY level, and you only carve away the color and then your met with an ugly basic shape. Not to mention the ads that come about every 20 seconds. Definitely uninstalling and will never be recommending this rushed app.
this is a good concept for a game. but in the ad I saw in Snapchat was so misleading, I didnt know there were boundaries and everytime I hit it the noise makes me jump a bit. The ads are also super excessive after every level. It really stresses me out rather than relaxing, don't download this game if you have no patience or have severe anxiety. Please.
I downloaded the game and played five levels. 1. there an ad after every single level which becomes an annoyance because a level is 10-20 seconds long followed by a 20-30 second ad thats unskippable and 2. while the game says relaxing you have a ring around the actual pottery that if you hit you lose a star, which doesnt make a game more relaxing just more of a stressful and annoying game
its a fun game, dont get me wrong but it vibrates if you go to far and it has boundaries, and if you get close to completing a level it will auto complete for you. it also has constant ads if you're playing with internet or mobile data, i thought it would be satisfying and i love voodoo games but i'm uninstalling this one.
Uninstalled because of the mines. I am not gonna waste my time being frustrated with one level of a game when there are millions of them out there. It kept turning red and I was not touching anything I wasn't supposed to. I understand the ads and actually didn't mind them too much but the mines were too aggressive to make the game enjoyable. Great concept though.
dont get me wrong, its a good game to play when you have nothing to do. But for real! SO MANY BLOODY ADS! I can't even finish a level without an ad playing. Maybe when this game stops shoving ads at me, I will download it again, but I just don't see myself playing this often. It will just be another game on my phone.
looks simple and all but even when your doing the right thing it vibrates and it tells you that you made a mistake which i think is impossible because you have a guide and even if you stay on the green thung or not it doesnt deform.. the controls can also be annoying because its too large.. when your playing and you dont mean to carve there youll have a warning and i think it should be changed. If you want your game to be on the top list better luck next time.. Please take my concern seriously
It's a nice calming game. No real skill needed, just a nice feeling of satisfaction carving away to make a pretty pot. Ads are too much though. There are ads every 2 to 3 finished pots, plus ads down the bottom of the screen. A bit of overkill which makes the game a whole lot less appealing
I would give the game 3 stars because it actually can be a bit of a time passer but the endless amount of ads and the false advertising of the game is what lost the other stars. I'm all for a game having ads to keep it free but an ad after every single sub level is just ridiculous and just shows money hungry developers instead of passionate ones.
its ok i guess for only having it installed for 5 minutes. the ads are terrible. i get more ads than game time. literally after every level and the beginning levels literally only take 15 seconds and then bam! an ad about the same time or longer than a level appears. the game is fun dont get me wrong, jusy cant stand watching ads after every level
Eh. That is all this game is. It is an interesting concept (at least in the ads) but lacks anything attention grabbing. Endless ads, bad gameplay, and glitchy. After the first like 4 levels it just becomes dont touch the red circle, you dont really even need to not worry about "over carving" or whatever, as long as your carver thing is touching unwanted clay ut diesnt even matter if you are touching the green pot, nothing bad happens.
the game was misleading. I thought I was going to see if I can make the best pottery as I could but no it just buzzes everytime you mess up. also there are ads after every level which are only like 20 seconds long and you are guaranteed to mess up a few times on most levels I recommend not wasting your time
it's a cool game. i know the rings are supposed to add some level of challenge but they're really just irritating. and even when you watch an ad to take the rings away, it only lasts two levels. most apps go 12 hours at least. the touching the green to take a star away is also way too sensitive. both of those made the game very frustrating to play. uninstalled but it was a good 20 minutes while it lasted.
