What this app lacks in design/sleekness, more than makes up for in functionality and ease of use. This is straight forward, easy to navigate, and gives all pertinent information on the main screen. I specifically love how it provides you your total weekly allotment of calories instead of just the daily. it also adjusts your daily allotment of calories should you go over or under on individual days. I wish I found this app sooner!!
Very nice app. I love the simple layout and the helpful graphs. I think the fact that it only focuses one one week at a time - and updates your macros and goals each week - is a huge motivator. It helps me focus on taking it one day, one week, at a time and stopping from looking too far ahead and getting overwhelmed. I've been using the free version for 2 weeks now. I do wish I could link my Fitbit but that's only available in the paid version.
This app is through and the free version has limited ads. You can look up a food item or even scan the barcode to add it to your food for the day. It is a low stress tool that helps me manage my nutrition, calories, and weight on my terms. My only complaint is that the ads occasionally have sound and that can be disruptive depending on where you are at the time. I have lost weight using this app.
I've been using this app for one week. It has been eye-opening, to say the least. I've been able to get two more family members to download it as well. The free version is wonderful. I'm moving up to the plus version, so that I can do a bit more diet planning. This is an organized, no flaws app. The interface is nice, everything is smooth. I've never found a food item that isn't searchable or scannable. Super easy, super Direct.
Easy To use and motivational. This app can help you reach your goals and also balance what you eat through the day. I like the fact that you can save your meals so it's easy to add again. The scanner is also good for products with barcode. So far I am seeing results and I'm learning a lot about what I'm eating as I use this app. Really recommend this app.
Just started this app but have tried several before and so far I love Poundawe! It combines the best of what I have had scaterred across several apps into one easy to use to app. It doesn't just take into account that day but the whole week which gives some flexibility. I also like the feature that gives you a suggestion for snack, side and main course portions. I am so glad for such a useful and helpful tool guiding me to a healthy lifestyle!
It's over priced. The features aren't anything special. I couldn't figure out how to cancel in the app. Finally figured out that I had to cancel in Google play, but my week free trail is over and I've paid for a whole year of something I could have gotten free on other calorie counting apps that calculate exercise in daily calorie budget. Don't waste your money!!!!
This works for me and I have tried many! I've lost 15 pounds in 4 months. It really is calorie deficit for weight loss. I try to follow macronutrients but even when I stray, I am still losing weight. Be honest with your food, even on bad days. Weigh your food if you're not sure, it only takes a minute with digital food scales. I exercise for fitness and health. Thanks for great app, I highly recommend.
Very easy to use, simple, and helping me to reach my goal. It's been 20 weeks and lost 20 lbs! easiest "diet" i ever followed. although i liked the previous version of adding food when it was one list! the categorization just made it more complex than it is and doesn't benefit me personally.
Lost nearly 2 stone with this app in 7 months. I was looking for a straightforward calorie counter after I had issues with my fitness pal. maybe not the most user friendly as it takes a while to get the hang of where everything is but it's worth the persistence as it's the best free app out there. The calorie limit does adjust and I sometimes have to ignore it, but using this app I have more understanding of what my consumption should be.
One of the easier apps to use. I love that I can scan barcodes and adjust serving sizes to be more accurate. This has been so helpful in just keeping me mindful of the amount of food I eat at each meal. It's really great to see how many calories I have remaining. This helps in deciding if i want to eat a little more, or maybe have dessert.
excellent config options and no ad-disruption. The barcode scanner is super helpful, as are pre-existing list items, since not everything comes with a barcode. I wish I could easily save a group of ingredients as a meal (e.g. "breakfast", or "lunch salad"), with the option to simply as the meal again or slightly modify the ingredients (ratios, remove, add something).
I had read the other reviews and thought this app would work well for me, but I'm not impressed. The user interface isn't very intuitive, and it's difficult to enter the correct food options, especially if you cook with a lot of ingredients. It calculated my daily and weekly calorie allowances incorrectly, I suspect because it doesn't give you the option of entering the timeframe in which you want to lose weight. Uninstalling and using something else.
This app has significantly helped me. i found it more user-friendly than others. one suggestion i would make is the add food bar gets missed at the bottom of the screen, so often ive hit the 'add food' button multiple times before i remember they changed it to the bottom. thabk you for this app and all of the customizations you can make to the settings!
Really simple to figure out. Scans quickly and exact. Has a free motivational quote every day. I had the option to use my actual e-mail. The app updates and e-mails me my progression also. Helpful for motivation. Probably will upgrade because its inexpensive and im interested. Im familiar with these apps. Had a personal trainer who taught me to use it. This one is perfect for my 70 year old mom to follow. NO ADDS either.
I loved this app, and have been using it religiously. It has helped me lose 30lbs. Which is why it's so disappointing that their subscription model is so terrible. I was never interested in any of the functionality offered by their subscription and, while I would have loved to help support the app, 40$ a year or 6$ a month was just too much. However, they've now gated the Google Fit syncing, something I considered a core functionality, behind the subscription, and it's ridiculous to me that I would pay 40$ just to get syncing, because I know I wouldn't use any of the other features. I use to have the perfect calorie counter app, and now I just have a frustrating "almost-perfect" experience.
