I had to uninstall, constant ads interrupting my activity even when in background. PS - I just read the reasonable-sounding developer response, and I want to clarify that these ads come up all the time, not just when the app is in the foreground. I'll be setting system settings, or trying to send my wife a message, and an ad coming from the power battery app will pop up. The content of the ads is fine, but some of them also have timers on them. So imagine you are not in power battery, you are trying to send an email or message, and in the middle of a sentence, an ad pops up and forces you to wait 10 seconds to continue. This is excessive and unacceptable application behavior. On consideration, I am changing my rating down to 1 star.
Absolute garbage. This is probably one of the worst battery saving apps out there. It did nothing to save or fix my battery, and subsequently made it worse by extending my charge time by 3+ hours. Way to many pointless ads popping up all the time, even outside of the app. The ads completely take over the ui of the phone and has prevented me from making emergency phone calls many times. Every time I turn on my phone, the app auto-starts and opens itself and "optimizes" my phone, closing all open apps I have, preventing me from using my phone at all. The only thing it's good for is cleaning the phones files and even then it's laughable at best. Trash.
Too many ads! I wanted to try this app but the bombardment of ads on every screen, plus pop up ads, plus it wants me to allow it to pop up over other apps as well. That is just too much! Upon initial scan, it listed every app on my phone as power draining despite all of them using almost no power. I was hoping to use this app to figure out what is eating my battery but will look elsewhere for one that isn't so obnoxious.
This application goes beyond "adds!" The ads are deceptive. Immediately after installing, the ads are tolerable, but after a month or so, the quantity of ads makes your phone almost unusable. I tried using this application twice, because it really does extend battery life, significantly. I am done.
not exactly the ads.What I mean are those random pop ups like "safe charging offer, power saver etc" whenever Im doing something else., the other features are surely good and useful but just reduce those pop ups that asking us to try it. you already have the center interface for all of those and we would love to explore it ourselves.. for me there is no problem about the placement of those ads. there are a lot but it is reasonable since the app is free.. some people are just stupid enough to not understand the importance of ads in every business
from what i can tell it seems to work, but yesterday something weird happened. i had my backup phone fully charged, which has this app dowloaded. i used the "clean" feature and cleared some stuff taking up space, then put the phone down and didnt pick it back up for a little over an hour. when i checked the phone it was only at 18% charged for some reason. i was wondering if there was any way the app could have caused that? it seems fine now & after being on all night it's currently at 57%.
Well, I believe I appreciated this app during the relatively short amount of time that I had it on my phone (About a month, maybe?), but, not only does it have pop-up ads, some of which have sound (which, hey, I get it - you deserve something in return for making it available for free), but it ALSO has pop-ups that are irrelevant to the overall scope of the app. Now, they're great if you actually want to use them, I'm sure, but even despite there being the option to DISABLE them, they very soon just pop the hell up again even though you've very strategically chosen otherwise. I mean, really - that is absolutely annoying, and I'm not EVEN talking about weeks, here. Just days or even less after I've disabled them, they're back. And I had to read the comments to even figure out where these were coming from, because they seemed to come out of nowhere, with no mention of them where you might expect to see any. I'm literally uninstalling it for mainly this reason. If I disable that sh¡t, I've done so for a reason (which includes wanting to avoid exacerbating the pain in my fingers).
tried out this app for some time now and there is big difference in my battery life. wonderful job guys. To improve, the auto optimization goes off on it's own. until I open the app I figure it's been switched off. And another thing to add on the app, is the function to auto clean the junk and those apps that are running in the background. I Manually do it now. it will be nice if you could make that an automatic like every half an hour or an hour
I was having constant issues with battery usage...always running low on power....phone shutdowns and black screens. I tried buying new battries... didn't help. I even had to turn off my phone to charge it.....but it wouldn't hold a charge for very long...only a few hours. I was ready to buy a new phone...and received an ad to try this app...so I said...what's there to loose...so I down loaded it. That was the best thing I've ever done!!! I'm SOOOO GLAD I DID IT!!! It's the best thing that ever..
Awful - Uninstalled! I wanted to like this app but only had it a few days and was bombarded with the app opening spontaneously (to clarify this was not like a fat-finger accidental opening, it would occur often and mid movie or while listening to music not even touching the phone for example). Turned off all notifications and disabled everything but was still receiving the pop ups. UPDATE : The app has extremely responsive customer service willing to troubleshoot the issue with me. Will update..
Awesome. Keeps battery from running out. I wouldnt know to keep so many background tasks from using up juice! But beware there are many ads. But hey it's the price for not having to lug around a powerbank all the time. Finally paid for ad free at around $16/yr. The ads were too much to deal with but the service is great and worth it. Consider that I won't have to lug around a powerbank all day and my battery lasts longer. Also, I'm able to keep from having to buy a new phone.
Updated because previous version was glitchy and would cause "ghost touches" on the touchscreen. New version causes this less but MAN are there tons of ads within the app and constant pop ups that are annoying, e.g. pop ups telling me to drink water, pop ups about the memory, pop ups about the WiFi. You can try to disable them but they still occur. Uninstall...
Downloaded app had constant adds coming up on my phone randomly during texting or anything I did. Now my phone won't charge whilst switched on. I don't no if this is to do with app as now still not charging after I uninstalled. I have to switch my phone off to charge it not very practical. Also the adds that come on randomly even when I've not opens app is well annoying
I love this app but I am SO sick of it asking me to protect my apps randomly while I'm in the middle of doing something on my phone. I'll get random pop ups asking me to "take a rest" or telling me nonsense after I have disabled those pop ups. If this keeps on I'm going to delete this app and find another. If I want to do those things I will set it as a preference. Quit randomly popping up with those boxes. Those pop ups has made my phone freeze. It's ridiculous. Even when my apps update it pops up asking me to protect that app. ENOUGH!
The app seems to work well. The problem is that is displays an overwhelming number of obtrusive ads. Randomly popping up all the time. I would be happy top buy a paid version of the same app though because it does seem to do a good job of optimizing the battery.
Great app. Well maintained by the developers. I prefer this over Greenify. It shows you the problematic apps and the cause of the high drainage and how to fix it asap. Gives the cpu temperature. I don't need it to close my system apps since the majority of system based will likely reopen open back if this app allowed that which will create even more problems. Love the trickling once a 100% charge completes. I know my device chargely fully properly. Prevents overcharging.
Great app! The best battery saving and charging app that I've ever used. However - the developers really need to fix this app so that the aggrevating charging lock screen doesn't decide to turn itself on when I never wanted that feature turned on. All the app charging lock screen does is messes me up big time. If I didn't choose to turn the feature on myself, then it should NEVER come on. The only way I can think of to fix the problem is to uninstall the app every time it comes on and reinstall
It's good it's job, but this app has some issues, like how you can't leave the charging screen unless you go to settings and exit the app there and the notifications from this app stay at the top of the screen, covering a lot space. And pretty much every day this app asks to clean and memory boost in these notifications. Even then the app doesn't care about opinion and begins the memory boost anyway. But least you can stop it in the process. Battery saver works great, boosting 1% to 15%. ☆☆☆☆
The app looks good and may be able to help you actually save some battery but the ad placements isnt just annoying but makes the app unusable. The ads are absolutely everywhere. Anytime a screen changes AD, anytime you change a setting AD, anytime you run a scan AD, this should not be allowed. Won't use it
I'll go for the old version. Its more easy to use than this new one. I regret deleting it last night and replaced it with other battery saver app but never worked in my phone right. Yea i downloaded Power Battery again but Advance optimizing it took so long unlike the old ver., plus it has so many ads! And whats that 'Optimizing' that keep on loading everytime, it doesnt stop unless i cleared recent app tab. The old ver was more efficient than this one, easy to use optimizes fast.
I have to say it works really well. The problem is is that it pops up a lot. But the Power Battery app is an app that just got to have. it adds at least 2 more hours to my phone each time I change my phone. I would strongly reckemend the people that I know to use this app on there phone. It's definitely one of the better apps that I have been using.
At first it seemed to do wonders, and really helped my phone hold it's charge. As time went on it became apparent how intrusive this app really is. Ads would give me pop ups and would play loud music with no way to skip or turn off. The most annoying thing of all, was these "health updates". This pop up would happen easily 20 times or more in a day, sometimes locking down my phone. Option to disable it was there, not that it ever worked. Finally got rid and now my phone is fine without it!
