I've been using the app for years, like so many others, with no problem. Recently, the sound is horrible and I can't do anything to fix it. I already tried everything you've suggested in your response to get my sound back to how it once was. It no longer matters, I've uninstalled your application after years of exclusively playing my music through poweramp.
I like Poweramp except for when I'm flying and don't have an internet connection. Invariably mid way through a long haul flight it stops working and I get a message telling me it's unable to verify my purchase.. so I switch to another media player. I thought that buying Poweramp unlocker was supposed to get around this but it doesn't. So I use Poweramp when I have an internet connection and Google Play when I'm flying. Shame.
App updated today, All my setting are completely changed and app doesn't function properly at all anymore. This was the only app I paid for in years and will be the last after this horrible experience. I was originally extremely impressed and happy with this media player and it worked amazingly well after a lot of trial and error with all the settings. Now I just want to find a better alternative in between fighting to get this (cr)app to play the songs I want and continue to play them.
So far I love using this app. My user experience has been great. Just a miner issue I have noticed, not a deal breaker. I just wish it could automatic detect which folder I want to Play music from instead of me manually selecting that folder which is not much of a deal breaker for me. So far it worked great. I don't have any issues or logs and that is all that matters.
horrible UI layout for galaxy fold 3. with the screen aspect ratio of 22.5:18, the UI in the landscape is like just the portrait mode one squished down and not properly rotated. not to mention how 60% of the album art is cropped out in the process. other than that, it is a solid music player.
I like the player, but in the description you write it supports lyrics unfortunately not lrc files though? That'd be something to work on, also while I like that you can export playlists I'd like to be able to just export one at a time. And lastly the one which actually bugs me is that you can only edit the tags of one song at a time, that should definitely change. Other than that this app is pretty much perfect, so I bought the full version and hope you'll improve.
Can you please not set by default "resume on wired headset" and "resume on Bluetooth"? This is so stupid, why would you have it as a default setting after installing power amp? There's no other music app in the world that does it! It's so annoying and confusing when music suddenly starts playing. And then settings aren't the easiest to find: why do you separate audio section from headset/bluetooth? I really hate this, it's been like that for so long...
Can't believe I paid for this POS. There's just so many issues. First, the equaliser changes ever single song. You constantly have to reset it. Second pressing back either closes the app or it will go back to an album you aren't even playing. Thirdly, you NEED to be online for the license check so you can't use it for offline when you're camping for a week. Forth, you cant scrub through songs via Android Auto, you can only skip songs. There's just been so many issues in the 5 years.
This app is perfect. There's a plethora of options and ways to personalize, not to mention that it seems to play all audio file types. For someone who's been collecting digital music since Windows media player was first released, that's a must. There's an option to quickly and efficiently match albums with cover art using the internet and it's insanely accurate, which is awesome since many of my albums were just bare. Highly recommend for any audiophile.
Playlists default SHUFFLE choice doesn't work correctly anymore. I have to reset the SHUFFLE option everytime I choose\open a playlist as it always resets to the default=NO SHUFFLE. This was NOT as it originally\previously worked. There is a SHUFFLE option on the playlist screen but you can't change the default. I've been using this app for years and this just started a few months(?) ago. I thought it was a bug and would be resolved, but that hasn't happened yet.
I cannot say enough how much I love this app!!! The interface is so smooth and user friendly, and the customizations are not so broken-down as to be counterintuitive. The only feature I'd love to see in a future update maybe is the option to exclude a folder/album/playlist from whole library shuffle
This is almost perfect! I needed a replacement app for Rocket Player after they recently fell apart and I really love this one. My only complaint is I have no way to sort out articles (the,a) when playing my music in alphabetical order which I like to do often. It's kind of pain that every song starting with "The" is grouped together.
This app served my needs quite well until recently when it began repeatedly playing the same songs from a library of over 2200. So frustrating. Great sound, love the cross fade, much more and hope that this can somehow be addressed. At this point, I'm actually evaluating replacements, something I don't really want to do.
When the app works it is great. About 1/3 it just doesn't cast to other devices - it looks like it's casting, the stream shows in various places, but no sound comes out. Googling shows that this is a common problem with no solution and that it pops up every once in a while - long forum threads of people complaining, no resolution. I wish I hadn't payed for the premium version. People online have been recommending Hi Fi Cast as as alternative, I'll look into that.
Worth every penny. Needed a music player for my phone when google play music finished, and I couldn't stand the youtube music app. Benefit that this is a one-off payment for the whole app rather than a subscription. It works so well, plus there are good features including choices for background images as songs play. Very very happy with this entire app.
I have had Poweramp app since phones became smart. It is a great app and I frequently refer friends to get it Now I have a problem with the way my library is displayed. Instead of a single column there are 3 which cuts out information from each song. The only way I can tell which song is in my que is to actually play it. There is no way for me to ask a question from support, it takes me in a circle and dumps me only leaving me frustrated. It's a great app I don't want to delete it
App seems good. Has used this prog in PCs in late 90s or early 20s. But unable to select folder into library containg songs. Some other, not required folders, can be selected. All permissions allowed. Also don't want to shift songs to a new folder. It would be better/ simple, if the app picks up audio files on its own like other apps do. Instead making a good app unusable due to a simple reason.
I had this app for some years now. Every single phone i had, i installed it on, You can never ever get another Music Player like this one, & trust me, i had tried, & paid for a lot, if you have a good ear, & know what you want, & how to tweak it, THEN DAMN IT MAN. it sound like you're right next to the speaker in the night club. Back in the day when i used to be in the studio, if i had this app, The sound would have sound much better than it did. Whoever made this. Great π Job. Best app ever..
I bought the full version after using the trial and enjoying it. Unfortunately, the app randomly stops for no reason occasionally. It's not even due to other app notifications or external input (ie play/pause button on Bluetooth speaker), it just pauses in the middle of a song. This is very frustrating.
Most well-maintained Android app I've ever used. As a music player that's incredible. Very glad to see Material You icons implemented so soon. Would be perfect for me already if it supports editing and saving playlists with relative path. It reads them just fine but writing to them changes the file path to absolute, which means playlist syncing from some software like MusicBee can only be one way.
I have been using Poweramp for years and it is one of the best music players I have seen. It is really easy to use with plenty of advanced features. Notably, the pause/play on headset plug/unplug is incredible! The latest major update provided a nice usability improvement over the last version. Overall a great app. Please keep up the good work!
