If you need a programable calculator this is the one.
I've used PowerOne Finance on Palm, Windows, Apple, and Android. This program is so superior to all other financial calculators, I don't understand how any of the others still exist. There are downloadable templates to calculate almost anything without having to create a formula. And when I want something specialized I can create it either on my Droid or my computer if I want.
I rarely review apps, but because i had this on ios and android since 2011 and use it almost every day, and have customized my own calculators at times, this is great. The downloaf choices are incredible, and free. Some are rather lackluster. But this is a must for any pro.
It has been so beneficial with my note 3 in calculating complex real estate/loan negotiating problems. The versatility in the planning and negotiation phases of real estate transactions is phenomenal. At this price they are giving this program away. Tech support is worth more than the purchase price!! On 5/23/20: I'm not sure if all operations work on my 3 power one apps anymore. My amoritization needs are being met. The rest I don't know. I now have programs on note 10+.
I used to like this calculator but then I switched to a Pixel 2 and the app now forces me to use it in tablet mode which is way too compressed on my screen. Completely ruined the usability. I contacted the developer who acknowledged the problem and said it couldn't be fixed given my high screen resolution. WTH? Given how popular the Pixel is I assumed this would get fixed, but six months later, nope! Unacceptable for a paid app.
I've been using powerOne Finance Pro for about 8 years now, starting with the iOS version, then Android. It has replaced my HP 19BII and HP 17BII calculators with its multiple templates and ability to create solver equations.
Please cut down the load time/splash screen
In the iOS app we are able to copy paste answers but not in the android app, please fix this.
Crashes every time I attempt to change templates on Lenovo S850.
Have used power one since I had a palm pilot. Loved it so much I looked for an Android version.
This is by far the best calculator available. It is easy to use and has many advanced functions not seen elsewhere. I also like the fact that it is programable and has a solver. The developer has a great reputation and has been around since the days of Palm Pilot. Support is great!
i found that as you key in numbers, that the font size takes up the entire height of the display area. for the nexus 7, that means each number is about 1 inch tall. and there seems to be no way to adjust for the font size you want. really? in android settings, i set the font size to large. but that's for how the labels would look (the size of the text label under each icon). that should not affect the font size in the display area THAT MUCH.
I use it on my iPhone and now I've got it on my Android tablet. This is an excellent app.

Back in the stone ages, I used books of tables to look up factors for interest rate, amortization and other loan calculations. Then TI and HP financial calculators came along. Bye, bye tables. Along came Palm and Treo devices with PowerONE. I sold the calculators and had one less gadget to carry. At first, it was a sad day when I switched to Android phones --- no PowerOne. Four years later, HOORAY! PowerONE comes to Android. This is the best, most intuitive financial calculater app around. If you're a banker, realtor, financier, etc, don't leave your Android without PowerONE.
Great app! Used it for years on my Palm phones and good to have it again on Android.
After using it for years on iOS, I had to write to find out when it would be available for Android. Didn't have to wait much longer after that. Great tool. Hoping for minor improvements in the template editor for tablet users. I seem to always be fighting with the keyboard and scrolling in landscape mode. This is characteristic of other editing tools on tablets, too.
I've been using their calculators for YEARS (going on 15 if you count off android platforms.). This is still my default calculator app. It has a clean layout which is great, but its real power is the template technology it uses to do everything else. Do you need to calculate discount rates, ROI, VAT, Exchange Rates, Loan comparisons and a hundred other templates to save you time and money. You can download as many templates as you need and build more if you come up with the right math. The one bummer is they haven't updated the product on android in years but it still works great for my day to day needs.
