It needs improvement: after connection via WiFi, it takes a few minutes for the video and battery level to appear. The throw launch mode disabled seems to work better than enabled when Thrown since I don't have landing gear. During the very few flights, it seems to struggle due to weight or not having enough thrust. The throttle slider seems to snap back after the airplane is thrown. In throw mode, it doesn't auto thrust, just hits the ground.
Even though it had been on kickstarter for a while, the actual release of the product is still relatively new, and for it's age, I think it works very well. The footage is stable and I think they have done a very good job with the app. So far it seems like they are listening to feedback and trying to improve the app while still having plenty more features coming.
Not intuitive at all. Asked me to join the powerup wifi network even though I was on my home wifi network. Would never go away. Could not connect with my Samsung once.
Someone stole the damn Wi-Fi module and now I'm not able to fly the piece of s*** and plus the prongs are bent to go in a plane and it came with only three sheets of paper I tried to learn how to what all of them pretty much crumbled up and all the third one when I actually flew it it crumbled up mid-flight in the thing just plummeted down
worked once for about 30 seconds not worth the frustration
Terrible app nothing works 😑
Shame on you Powerup for making such a horrible app and releasing it! Crashes more than it stays open.
It took me a while to make it work properly. I had trouble throwing the plane right, had to try different phones to find one that had a steady connection. But it's worth the effort, it flies beautifully. Uri from the support team really helped me a lot to make everything work.
Incredibly unreliable. Have tried it now on 3 phones (motorola, samsung, oneplus), have updated the firmware on the drone, and it still only rarely connects. On the occasions it does connect, within a few seconds it then disconnects. Basically a terribly executed app that makes the drone completely useless.
Runs way too slow on Nexus 5X. The app runs well on the LG G5, though.
Maybe early access? Anyway, lg g4 doesn't work, pixel XL doesn't work. Motorola X Pure does work. Best of luck fixing it, until then I have a non functioning unit. UPDATED now that cardboard mode works. Will update after retesting new version on XL and G4.
Unusable. Horrible connection issues on a Nexus 6P phone running the most up to date available OS. Installed the latest firmware and the App crashes all the time, won't connect to the drone and the VR functionality is completely absent. Clearly the developer is focused on iOS. I'd stay away from this product on Android until they decide to take it seriously.
Kickstarter backer, and upgraded. No love. Late. Double tap does not work. It's been so long I cam report the S6 and V20 both don't work. #pleasemakeitrightbyspring
I spend more time trying to connect than actually flying, and while flying I'm always hoping that it won't disconnect to quickly (it always does eventually after 4-5 mins even if the plane is literally in my hand and not in flight)
At first I tried to fly it in the park it didn't fly 😓 . Then I went to a RC field . I was amazed to see , it flies so well .At that time I understood that it was because other wifi houses were interupting the wifi network 😋😄😄😁😁
Can't connect to the plane, rendering the whole thing unusable. Requesting a refund for the entire product.
Not able to connect and make it work on A droid. Ok -ish on ios
Needs a lot of work
bad connection galaxy s4
Superb, I love it
This is an awesome plane, and still very relevant even though it's been discontinued lots of people own one. It'd be a shame to abandon us and show that your company doesn't support products when a new release is made... The app could use some work for an example the settings are inaccessible except for one tab. Please return to this and fix the issues with old products before moving onto new. Us FPV owners would greatly appreciate it. It'd be cool if you offered batteries and parts still too.
