Poynt for Android allows you to interact with your search results through placing calls to businesses, mapping directions, viewing show times and movie trailers or reserving a table at a local restaurant.
Business – Ever wonder, “where’s the nearest…?” Finding what you need has never been easier with Poynt’s Business Search Feature – your mobile version of the yellow pages.
Movies – Poynt’s Movie Search Feature is your personal movie guide – it’s one part Hollywood insider and one part box office!
Restaurants – Think of the Restaurant Search Feature as your own personal culinary assistant; get great tables at the best eateries in town.
Gas – With the Gas Search Feature, know where to find the cheapest fuel in town – and never run out of gas again (US and Canada only)!
Events – Being an insider has its advantages – with Poynt’s Events Search Feature, get the most up-to-date details on the hottest events in town (North America, UK and India only).
People – With reverse lookup and full integration with your device contact book, the People Search Feature makes it easier to connect with the people all around you (US, Canada and France only).
Weather – Get short and long-term forecasts, never get caught in the rain without an umbrella again!
Poynt asks for permission to access your calendar, contacts and location in order to deliver an integrated experience:
Accounts & Contacts – You can add listing results directly to one your contact lists or perform a reverse look up from your contacts in the People section.
Location – Accessing your location allows you to quickly search for nearby businesses using your GPS or cell-site location.

What has happened to this app? It used to be my "one stop" source for gas prices, movie information, address, phone numbers, etc. Now, all of those features have either been deleted or just not functional. If this is not fixed soon, this app will be unuseful to me, and will be deleted from my phone. Please fix this, soon.
Did the developers quit? This used to be the most used app in not even just my phone, but my household. Now it is useless. There are no listings and some of the categories do not even try to load. It really is like whoever created/ran the app just up and quit and decided to delete everything in it on their way out.
App USED to be my go-to for most of my travel and entertainment, but now it just takes up space. Doesn't even update anymore! 🤔 Not sure what happened, but I'm officially removing since it is rendered useless at this poynt...😕
just uninstalled and re-installed because info files unresponsive. Now there are no icons only advertisements. what gives??? YOU are failing Your public customers. This app is now useless 😬
This app has really gone downhill. Please someone fix these issues. I downloaded it again and there are no options on the app. Its completely blank! Please someone fix this!
Used it primarily for gas prices...without that it useless to me. Gas info hasn't worked in months. I tried to give them time to resolve issue but guess it's not important to them. Goodbye once great app!
stopped working, no updates in over a year.. Too bad, as this used to be a very useful app for restaurants, events and entertainment..
This was once my go to app for finding low gas prices in my area, until it was recently removed from the app entirely. This is the latest in several modules that have been removed
You can look up businesses but the app is terribly out of date. The majority of times I've used it the businesses are no longer open. That makes it less than useless.
I used this app long ago and it was good. On vacation and decided "i need a good app to see prices and place of interest" so i install it and boom nothing works. WTH
Use to be my go-to for food. Doesn't even load the home screen anymore. Hasn't been updated in almost a year. Bye Felicia 👋
Not always able to play Movie trailers and now cant purchase movie tix. Just "add to calendar" button exists
I used to love this app because it will show you the best gas prices around but several months ago the gas part of the app stopped working I sent several emails to their link but it never goes through maybe this will get their attention
Used to be a great app. Took away gas section. Now has no function that is not better served somewhere else. Will be uninstalling immediately.
It doesn't show nearby gas stations or prices. It did in the past but not for the last 6 months. This needs to be updated.
No gas prices, movie information or telephone reverse lookup as in the past. No value to have anymore. Will uninstall.
I don't know what has happened to this app. All I get now is a blank screen. I might as well uninstall it, it's totally useless the way it is.
Installed it because I loved it with my BB10 phone but the gas prices module never works. Once my goto App, now do not use because of useless modules
this app was a lot better when it had the gas station finder on it. that part was great. Why did you take it out?
The app is a great tool when your looking for someone or something, whether in your own city or not.
This used to be my go to app for gas prices... that feature is gone, and now so is the app from my phones.
when is this going to be updated. I only get error messages. used to be one of my favorite apps.
Gas station locator stopped working. Tried uninstall/reinstall still no go.
Got rid of gas prices. Was the only reason I used it because it was the only reliable thing about it. Please don't waste your time with this app.

On the Blackberry Poynt was completely useful. On Android it's extremely useless. With my Blackberry Bold 8900, Poynt allowed me to use a reverse look up from the phone call log when I clicked the number, no more. On my Note 9 (also my Note 2 & 4) it does nothing when I open it. The BlackBerry version had a lot of relevant local information. On my Note the screen is empty, unless I specifically click the search button. A completely useless app that does nothing anymore. Uninstalled & deleted.
