Pray As You Go - Daily Prayer
A new prayer session is produced every day of the working week and one session for the weekend. It is not a 'Thought for the Day', a sermon or a bible-study, but rather a framework for your own prayer. It is founded in Ignatian Spirituality and uses the imagination to enter more deeply into prayer.
Lasting between ten and thirteen minutes, it combines music, scripture and some questions for reflection.
Our aim is to help you to: *become more aware of God's presence in your life *listen to and reflect on God's word *grow in your relationship with God
It is produced by Jesuit Media Initiatives, with material written by a number of Jesuits, both in Britain and further afield, and other experts in the spirituality of St Ignatius of Loyola. Although the content is different every day, it keeps to the same basic format.

As many others have already commented, I love the contents but find the new update make it much worse - cannot download automatically now and the issue of loop playing. I also can't go forward to a particular section of the prayer. Beautiful pictures but not sure it is necessary. I much prefer the old one - simple but usable. Please bring back the old one, or at least have the features of the old one.
Best app available to pray. Friendly to use, simple, beautiful UI design, beautiful and meaningful songs. The voices of the people who read, and the way they read, everything has been very well done. I only hope nothing is going to be changed. Unfortunately, the Spanish version has been completely ruined with the last update, though personally, I have always preferred the English version. Like the new interface but have trouble listening to the mediations. The audio files cannot be downloaded. I've deleted and reinstalled the app but it doesn't work. Would rather have a workable app than one with a nice interface but non workable. Please, please fix.
The reflections are wonderful and I find this app helpful for my prayer. however, the latest update eliminated my settings and it rarely plays correctly and fully a prayer reflection for me. Either parts are missing or it ends early. I appreciated being able to adjust settings and indicate how many days ahead to download in the previous version.
Thursday, April 12 had to uninstall, sorry. It's stalling and starting over and looping a lot these days. Using WiFi LG G6. Anyone else noticing this ?? ----- The app is wonderful but when my data switches to 128 Kbps I can't stream the large files and when I click the download option it never seems to work. It sometimes lets me buffer the stream but if it gets stuck and I click Pause or FF it starts over at the beginning. Otherwise beautiful day app thanks and God bless everyone 🌸
This app is 5 star for content but unfortunately as of this week, I can no longer download prayers. Please can you resolve this issue? I use the app when I'm out and about & it often cuts out if I use data. I find that the pause & skip functions don't work, either. However, I have found it a brilliant and helpful addition to my prayer life.
Its great app, been listening for years now! Recently though it stopping mid way. I have to keep restarting. It repeats over itself. I deleted and redownload but still happening.
I think the new update was EXCELLENT! Now I can read the biblical passages without the need to use an external website, because now, at the bottom of each prayer, the app provides the biblical passage. Thank you, Pray-as-you-go team, for making our lives better with this wonderful prayer tool that raises our spirit closer to God. Your prayers and songs are very deep and beautiful! I feel my spirit rising. Thank you and God bless you all.
I have used this App for years and loved it. Since the upgrade I have struggled with all sorts of problems. Downloading mostly doesn't work. If it has worked then it loses it. Sometimes the voices have an echo or repeat.
The newest update is awful! The app is now very glitchy. It is rare that I get through one use without it cutting out altogether. If I leave the app while it's running than it cuts out! So frustrating!! The update has rendered it almost unusable.
Disappointed with update, content still good though too much talking sometimes. Just doesn't seem as simple and intuitive as before. Text for prayers and music information now only available once you've started playing the prayer for the day. The prayer starts again once it's finished!
reinstalled, still doesn't work. starts goes for a few minutes crashes. reinstalled 10/05/19 got to bible reading, stopped, couldn't get it to restart. 18/03/2020 app still had issues. I have been through other comments, it seems to me android phone's have the problem. Mine is a Samsung. 8/8/20 looked at reviews again, seems still hit and miss I'll stick to the website.
I love this app! It helps me to go deeper into prayer with their insights and questions from the daily reading. I use these questions to journal. It's been incredibly helpful for me. If you explore the app you will find the Imaginative Contemplative Prayers. These are so great at teaching you how to imagine you are there with Jesus. I shared these with my 8th grade Religious Ed kids and they loved them. The retreats are well done too. I tell all my friends about this app and everyone loves it!
I, and many of my friends, love this app but am disappointed with the Dec 18 updates. The prayer is on a loop (which means it keeps playing all night after I've nodded off at bedtime) and I can't access the written text without pressing the audio play. Please, please fix!
The contents are absolutely great! However I can't install the new version. It doesn't work on android 2.2. I prefer the simple version: great insight without fancy pictures.
Love the new update. Download is smooth - more than the old version. Use of picture is lovely, and integration of text, if wanted, is really helpful. Thank you for such an amazing ministry, that I receive for free. Well done to all involved week in week out.
the previous format was nice and simple, I'm not sure this update was necessary and it doesn't seem to download the extra prayer tools. It was disappointing the old app just stopped working without any message, I found the new app because I opted for a reinstall.
Fantastic prayer resource for daily reflection. A thoughtful mix of musical styles, engaging questions, and well narrated. Varied, interesting, and so helpful for busy people who need an excuse to stop for a moment!
3/2/20 I do not like this latest update. I can no longer view the complete reading on my tablet's screen. I used the tablet so I could read it. Now it is the same size as my mobile! Very inconvient. Very disappointed with the update. I can no longer access my favourites that I had saved!
The app is useful. However i can't get it to work on my Samsung Galaxy A8 in the last few weeks. The app will open but then is totally unresponsive. I have tried to unistall/install the app but to no avail. Once fixed i will change revies to 5 stars.
Thank you for listening to the suggestions! The app has improved a lot since the big change. I use it for my daily prayer. The music is beautiful, and the reflections are a great way to start the day. Also, I found the prayer for anxiety especially helpful.
I love the new update, navigation is so much easier. The layout is wonderful and most of all accessing downloaded prayers is far much easier . Downside is that the prayer is on loop and doesn't stop.
Crashes since upgrade. Used to love this app and used it daily. Since they upgraded to the new, beautiful interface, it crashes regularly. Uninstalled it for the second time.
I really appreciate this app, and use it almost daily. However, it has become more frustrating to use - it's jerky and less reliable. Instead of loading simply and smoothly, it's slow to start or crashes, jumps through several backgrounds, and I'm having trouble with downloading prayers. I download them, then the next time I open "my prayers," it says I have no downloads, then I close and open them again and find them there. I wonder if this app is trying to do too much.
