Fully grasping the elements of pre-algebra is the first step toward learning algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. The free Varsity Tutors Pre-Algebra app for Android-powered smartphones and tablets explains these math fundamentals so students can continue on to higher math levels.
Math can be a struggle for many students, but the Pre-Algebra app for Android devices provides a plethora of practice problems and detailed answers to help students work through the challenges of pre-algebra curriculum on their own. If a user does not understand the difference between rational and irrational numbers, he or she can learn more about the concept in the app’s Learn by Concept feature, or even take a small practice test on that particular topic. Students can study identities and properties, absolute values, the order of operations, and how to solve polynomials – among many other subjects – within the app’s flashcard feature. You can also create your own set, using visuals and audio to augment your flashcards. If you struggle with understanding integers and the different types of numbers, your tutor can record an explanation on each digital flashcard in a way that is easily understandable to you.
To prepare for quizzes or unit exams, choose from the assorted practice and diagnostic tests provided on the app, and send your results to your teacher or tutor with the swipe of a finger. You can also track your progress and identify areas of concern using the app’s Tests Taken feature.

I have enjoyed my experience with this app. I'm using it as a refresher. It's easy to navigate, educational, and it's funny. Reference the ice cream cone problem.😁 I discovered this app because I'm laid off during the Covid-19 pandemic. I'm not a big TV fan, so I figured I'd tackle this instead. I've always enjoyed math. Perhaps I could pickup being a tutor, but not until I'm better with math.
They show the problem and let you solve it, then they go into an in-depth description of how to solve it in case you couldn't figure it out. It works really well.
Funny how I imagined a graph for the positive and the negative second being the negative and how it would have been around the area imagined in the wrong way imagining a scatter diagram.invert or ?????? Graph.Funny so much easier when you follow directions😋
Pretty bad the first time I used it I took the question of the day and they didn't have a correct choice for the question... The answer should have been 24. Once the did the breakdown they got to the last step and added. 15 + 9 and got 34.....
This is a amazing app is you know this stuff and you need some practice.But it needs videos incase you dont know this stuff.I am in pre algebra and not alot of it I have gone over yet so I need something to practice with.But I need videos and examples.But overall it is good for reviews.
Better than the rest. I enjoy the exams and tests but I would also like to see more lessons and math problems.
I am using this app as a refresher and so far really like the way it explains how the formulas are applied to the examples.
