The fishing information contained in the popular publication Precision Trolling is a troller’s dream come true. The familiar “Dive Curves” made popular in the Precision Trolling book are now incorporated into easy to use “pickers” or “wheels”. The Data Wheels let you adjust the “feet down” to determine the “feet back”. This is particularly useful if you want to target fish at a certain depth that you are seeing on your sonar unit. The Data Wheel also allows anglers to adjust the “feet back” to determine the “feet down” that the lure will dive. It comes with one lure for free and then you have to buy any more to use. Prices per lure seem to be $1.99 or $2.99. That's per weight mind you, if you want data for the same lure in two different weights then you're going to have to buy that lure twice. The only way to use this app is if you're willing to sink hundreds of dollars into it. Google should require apps like this to display something besides "free with in app purchases." Instead how about "free to download, pay to use."
Bought the lifetime subscription several years ago and you can't beat the data! Just switched from one android to another android phone. Downloaded the app from the play store and you have to follow the "buy" steps. Pops up with you already purchased this app and allows you to download all the content.
great app when it worked. Quit working on Samsung S7 this past week. Uninstalled and redownload it and reinstalled. Still says all lures has stopped working when I try to open it and it forces close. had the lifetime subscription. Edit- problem solved . thanks
Meh. I bought one chart for an individual crankbait to assess whether or not I would buy the lifetime subscription. While the app's sample chart (Flicker Shad 7) shows trolling speed of 2mph and four different line options, there is no trolling speed given and only two line options for the bait chart I bought (Wally Diver CD5). I would've thought that all charts would contain same/similar level of detail. It's disappointing.
App is very accurate. Also, I got a new phone and all of my lures disappeared out of my lists. I contacted the developer and he was extremely fast, courteous, and helpful. I now have all of my lures back!
If you want to catch fish, use this app. The key to any trolling is getting your bait "into the zone". Initially, I was hesitant to spend this much money on this app, but let me tell you, between this app and a fish locator, it is GAME ON! I boated well over 200 walleyes last year, in part due to this app. I highly recommend. Don't just throw your lures out there and hope for the best. The one thing I would request is a 2.0 mph for snap weights. I rarely go 2.5, but frequently go 1.5 to 2.0.
just update to the new Samsung S10 from S6. All apps and preferences transferred flawlessly, accept precision trolling. Contacted developer and the fix did not work. guess I'm out $100 since I paid for the lifetime membership. Other apps have a log-in's so when you replace your phone, you can log-in to update app, not so with precission trolling. It is tied to the phone ID. drop your phone in the drink and you are SOL. unless you know your old phone ID.....which I do not.
The update deleted all of my purchases and the shortcut no longer works. Very disappointed. The customer service test has officially started...so frustrating. I received an email about 10 minutes after I contacted them about my issue. Their recommended fix worked perfectly!
I love the app. However my Pixel XL updated to Android V9 and the app hasn't worked since this was a month ago. I am trying to be patient. I sure wish they would get it fixed, this is the time of year I troll a lot and really need the app.
I'm giving 4 starts only because you can only select 10lb fire line amd the 50+2 method only shows 2oz weights can we get date for 3,4,5 Oz weights as most charters use heavier weights in deeper water and they claim for every once extra is 5 feet deeper with mono more like 7 foot deeper per Oz with braid but would love to see those selections added I have the book amd the full access app amd this is my only complaint
Have to pay for every lure data. No stars. What if we use more then one lure. I have over a hundred lures all different kinds. The app doesn't even have all the lures I use or the fish that are common. Only name brand. And not all the lures. I like rapalas brand. Limited selection.
this app worked great two years on my phone until I set up a favorites list now the app won't even open. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled same problem persists. absolutely useless now
The add ons are outrageously expensive. The app doesnt work unless you shell out 50$ or more. And even then it seems that doesnt guarentee you anything. After reading other reviews, and trying this app myself, I dont recommend and will be uninstalling. To bad because the website is pretty handy.
App will no longer load. Would be helpful to use on the water but it doesn't even open up even after uninstalling and installing many times.

Poor ,paid full price and it doesn't have mph for my favorite lures,and my phone started skipping videos immediately after I downloaded it.
Free download then you need to pay for each style of lure for data so you could spend a small fortune if you run many varietys. Not my thing.

I bought all the luhr jensen dipsy diver charts on the app last year before the fishing season and now they are gone. Is there anyway to retrieve them?
It list only 4 lines and no mph information on any of the lures I tap on I think I just wasted $110.00 bucks how do I get a refund
Shows you a picture of a lure, other than that it's useless. Just trig it out if you have a line counter, (ft of line) = [(trolling depth)/(cos(angle of line))].
Well, I guess precision trolling is for rich people.... does not saving me enough time to spend that much. Say I'd give y'all 20 bucks for that app but not paying per lure

#7 flicker shad mph does not work. Just says NA no matter what depth and line length u set. #5 flicker shad does the same thing. to developers line type has a speed affect
Precision Trolling went through some difficult times with an android upgrade that was not within their control. They have been patient with their customers (including me) and although it took some time to correct, they rewrote the app and they have been very helpful with their customers (me) to get that app to work. This is a good app and it takes research beyond what some people think. I totally recommend!
