Was a great app, now with ads added the usability is rendered useless. There is a ad over the save button as well as you are unable to scroll the page to click on save when you add your BGL and the carb count. I know now that the ads started after the trail period was done. Possible solution for the advert problem: Allocate the ad container size on the display until the ad have been loaded. When you open the app and the ads have not been loaded yet and you click on "Add" then the display with inputs are rendered without taking into account the advert that will be displayed in few seconds. If the app reserve the advert's space then when you are adding values the advert will not block the "Ok" or "Save" buttons.
I like/don't like this app. The "predict" part is wrong 90% or more BUT it does let you know how much insulin is on board which is really helpful before bed or a workout. It tries really hard. I've tweaked it a lot. You can really fine tune the am blood sugar rises and changes to insulin sensitivity and sick day stuff too. So it is a mixed bag of goodies for a MDI Type 1, without a CGM. Helpful, but far from perfect or as advertised. I paid $50 for a year but I feel that is too much.
Unusable - can no longer scroll down to save entries and there is an ad blocking the save button. Also strongly dislike the subscription based model - woule be happy to buy full features but a subscription is too much. When the app worked the active insulin calculator was useful however.
This app is fantastic for anyone who needs help calculating insulin doses, and factoring in exercise/stress/illness etc. You can see how much insulin is in board and how you're trending. I find my test results are nearly 100% matching the predictions after using this for a long time and tweaking the factors to match how my body responds to things like protein. Great tool. I use other apps to find the nutritional values of my food and put those values into this app.
As an Internal Medicine Specialist Physician and over 17 years experience in managing patients with Diabetes I can truly say that this app is the best I have seen to help any one with Type 1 DM navigate the often complex landscapes of pre meal and post meal sugars, typos, insulin dosing and so much more. The app is intuitive easy to use, the team is highly responsive and the current pricing for the premium package is just right. Highly recommended.
Worst app ever. I paid for 6 months and the app would never open. I emailed and called multiple times and I was told it must be my phone. Asked multiple times for a refund with no response. As a diabetic I am in need of something reliable!
I've been using the app too for my son and I really like the IOB feature. The only thing is that is seems that setting the fat/protein factors don't really impact the bolus calculation. I get the same dose whether I enter fat and/or protein grams or not. I even tried with really high figures and still the same calculated dose as if I just used carbs.
Couldn't live without it. I've been using this for about 7 yrs? I am on the omnipod system and it does not tell you how to treat your low blood sugar. Love that it tells me exactly how many carbs to add and if elevated how long to wait to eat.
Clearly made for the American market, overcomplicated, struggled to convert anything and most of all..... $10 a month for the full app!! Uninstalled.
I can't sign up. It says unknown error. I uninstalled and reinstalled and I get the same error
App is garbage that is riddled with ads. Ads over the save button makes your data useless.
Great app! I would like the line to follow the actual BGLs. Maybe a different color line to follow the expected?
Promoted as free and open source app in the community Turns out to be subscription based and not open source. I'd consider that Spam
Broken. Won't let me set up an account - receive unknown error like others here. Also, strangely aggressive responses from developer to negative comments here. Customer service guys?!?
Every day this app gets slower and slower.
Doesnt work !!!! Error !!!! Useless!!
According to the ad its supposed to integrate with Abbott Libre.. does no such thing..
Heya guys I get "An unknown error" when I try to sign up!
Best application for my diabetic patients . Great help Congratulations
When I tried to sign up, it said unknown error occurred
I can't figure out how to share the app information with my provider which is why I stopped using the app. Can you please tell me how to do this?
Have to have on hand known how much one can do. NEEDS
This app.is just what I was looking for!
Currently on a month trial and so far absolutely love it. I am finally getting control of my BsL and my predicted hba1c is looking brilliant! My last was 9.6 and if this is accurate I should be at 6.8 for my next one. Have only had 1 hypo and 3 hypers in the last week which is a massive improvement.
I am so happy using BGL Diabetes logbook app. It helps me understand my glucose levels and insulin levels. The multicolored app and large phonts makes my entries easy and accurate. I like the "How Do You Feel" entry because everything affects our glucose levels.
App is much improved since I tried it years ago. Carb ratio counter and correction ratio seem accurate. Only issues: more often than not, the graph is not visible through app but is via web page, however I'm not able to click on the coach bubble on the web page version from my phones chrome browser. Also, if the ranges could be as customizable as the dosing, so I had different goals for different times of day, I'd be set. Ooh, also, the reminder notifications to check after meals... I wish it had more of an alarm function, than a phone notification which is less noticeable. Great job adding to the app. A great alternative to Diabetes 360 that isn't available on Android.
What a great app. I use it daily to calculate my bolus and it is very customizable
No insulin sensitivity levels for periods of time?
Incredibly overpriced for what you get per month and cannot turn off the message indicator. I have vision problems and wasn't able to see the number of messages so I'm constantly looking to see what the message is - oh sorry just that you haven't gone pro yet. The other two messages can't be fixed because the website errors when you try to update info 6hat would remove the messages. Product bypasses Google for it's subscription and uses Digital River. Feels a little fly-by-night. Uninstalling.
