The free tier scales down criminally fast. It teases you with a reasonable amount per day to play with (10), but soon has you down to 1 per day. I would have considered subscribing, but with such a twisted freemium model, I've decided to 1 star instead.
Good for what it is. Would be a wonderful feature to be able too review what mistakes were made(by position) when doing range drills instead of the simple tick sheet
In general I am very impressed. This app is very well conceived and well worth the subscription price. My rating would be a five if I could figure out how to do a few things: (1) exporting and importing ranges to and from my file system and/or the cloud, (needed for backup); (2) clearing a block of ranges; and (3) adding and deleting members of the 'hero action' drop down list in the ranges section. I will likely discover other things that aren't sufficiently intuitive in the future.
Easy to use and has training games that I've been looking for. But I wish that it could explain why certain answers are correct or incorrect. Or at least link to articles explaining the concepts.
Great app for range training. Was always looking for something like this - where I can input my own custom ranges and then practice until perfect. Tons of other useful tools inside as well. There are minor improvements to be made in various places but the developers are very responsive to feedback. Worth the $$
Super in-depth tool. Far better then any trainer I've found on phone yet. Price makes sense but is obviously high. Just picked up a year with the discount and feel like I got a steal. If I encounter a few bugs they will surely be forgiven just based on depth. Nicely done. Learning Curve/set up should be expected.
Overall, really solid if you go for the paid version. The only reason it's 4 instead of 5 is because I would like either frequency actions or custom hero actions for ranges, because I have some hands that I want to remember as "open sometimes", etc. If this is added as a feature I'd upgrade to 5/5.
Overall very pleased with the app. I found it a bit deceptive, paying for premium lifetime membership and then having to pay additional fees for premium charts. Thought they were all included, app should have been more clear.
Good app.. but has its downfalls. I think with this tool you can really make some progress with your game if you use it right. What i dont like is subscription based and the outragous cost of premium. Anyone with a computer access programs and websites that can give you the same info, not to mention other apps. I dont want to discredit at all because its a great app. One i would have bought for.. max $24. Hope this review helps you guys in the future as the app is brilliant.
So far mainly been using "My Ranges Trainer" & occasionally "Runout Trainer" (not sure why the latter is included in this app & not in Postflop+). Development appears to be active so upgrades are to be expected. At this point the app doesn’t support mixed strategies in any way. Pretty sure I've read somewhere that that's planned for an upgrade, but can't remember where. Ability to import ranges seems very limited at this point. Many other good points in other reviews. Great app, great price.
This is the world we live in. People expect everything for free and if it is not, they don't care about quality of the product. This app is really good in my opinion. Solved ranges are expensive but that is not because of this app. Try to buy some on ny websites and you will be surprised. There is enough free material online to create your own ranges and that adds to the value of your training. The extra features like the combinator and math calculator are just icing on the cake.
Amazing app (using paid version) downside is my phone is hot like lava after 5-10min using "pod odds" trainer and my phone is "state of the art". You cant really use an app for an extented period of time, if your phone is melting. Cant use some functions like runout trainer while offline (flight mode), also runout trainer often get stuck on calculation screen.
there's no way to provide feedback when something is broken. please fix that. my ranges trainer is broken, 47o "should I call with this hand" i answered no. Marks me wrong and says "Wrong, it is not in your call range". theres also no reference to what 'my' call range is. the gui button with yes/no also says 'test' so i'm wondering if the wrong mod was published
Great app! I'd love a mode for range training that had multiple choice answers instead of a yes or no. Choosing between Fold, Call or Raise would feel more like a real situation when away from the training area.
Seemed like the app for me, was considering going pro. Imagine my excitement when I got a notification saying "80% off". I opened the app and the app said "30% off", I thought - oh its changed, but 30% will do. Looked at the prices - exactly the same as yesterday, just with a 30% off sticker on it? Can't trust an app that tries to mislead people like that. Real shame.
Hi, I ve subscribed to preflop+ but I don't like the app at all. Ev line which i d like to use is not calculated correctly ie. I call bb vs co flop goes xx turn i bet he raises i go allin and then the app asks what hands he is folding but there is no question with what he raises the turn in the first place. Also charts quiz etc. are either mistaken either bad written in many cases and confused me. I tried to contact the developers via email for a refund but got no answer.
Worth paying for the full app (great deal to buy the "lifetime" plan not the "one year") even if JUST for the perfectly designed Bankroll tracker feature! (Its main features for training and dealing with ranges are great too of course.)
I should be able to add antenna in during the training exercises without having an antenna it's pointless
Super powerful and engaging. Makes studying fun.
Honest review- I myself was hesitating a lot to buy earlier. But once I bought, I've made atleast 200% improvement in my MTT as well as cash game. Definitely worth the price of lifetime pro version. I'm ready to challenge anyone who says this app hasn't helped them. Just think this way that you are loosing a pot now (and investing that money in this app) and thus in future not loosing more pots and you'll still save money. Fav features- MTT nash charts, & save and pratice against own ranges
Absolutely need a 10 player option as it's a little bit of a different game
Very good app would have given 5 stars but I paid for lifetime membership expecting full access to all features. But they still want me to pay £99 to access the different preflop charts
Good app, definitely should add MTT shove, call shove, reshove quizzes.
Generally good app with a few issues: - runout trainer is unusable. can be extremely slow and overheat the phone. It will say "computing runouts, won't be long" but you could leave it for several minutes while it's running and it won't be complete yet - it will only allow you to import ranges that you've specifically created using their app downloaded from their servers. IMO there is no legitimate reason for this restriction because the file format is CSV and very easy to generate. so if you have existing ranges, you will have to spend hours in the app to transfer information when it should have been as simple as validating and reading in a csv file
