Overall, this is a great app to get/keep you fit during pregnancy. I gave it 4 stars because I couldnt do my 2nd trimester exercises until I updated the app (which is no big deal if you know thats how to make it work again); also, because I wish each exercise was explained a little better (sometimes I have to rely on the picture) and shared the benefits of each exercise in relation to the area being worked out for added motivation to keep working out. Ultimately, good app!
It's easy and convenient to use! I use it at home and at the gym. One thing I'm going to write here because you can't contact anyone through the app: the animated woman is doing a lunge during the plie squat exercise and a plie squat during the lunge exercise. So that's confusing and needs to be fixed. (The exercise description doesn't match what the woman is doing). Also, there isn't an exercise for the entire week 6 of first trimester.
Please fix issues :( I would have easily rated 5 stars, this app is so great except and the exercises are motivating except there are glitch issues. For example yesterday one of the exercises wouldn't load therefore I was unable to complete the full set and it's marked as 70% complete (I still did it without app count). Today I was exercising and the whole exercise restarted counting from 1 while I was half way through it. This set is marked as 28% complete.
It works out and stretches areas I don't usually use. I also like that you can take as long or short a rest between different activities on each day's workout. I would like it better if I could edit the order of the exercises in each day to accommodate resting certain muscles a few minutes but still be able to continue with the overall work out. I also haven't found out how to reset my progress monthly, which would be good since you should really start week 1 prior to conception.
It is my second day using the app and it just froze in the middle of my workout. I restaryed my phone and it was still frozen at the same exercise. Very dissapointing. I uninstalled it because one of the motivations to continue exercising is seeing my progress. I reinstalled and continues to freeze at the same exercise. Not installing again. This app is horrible.
I have mixed feelings. I dislike that you need to have workout equipment such as a ball and weights. I don't have a ball for exercises. I can't change settings to not use a ball. I also don't like that at the end of 2nd trimester and even all the way through the 3rd they want you to lay on your back for certain exercises which is unsafe. Other than that exercises are fun and the info you can read on the baby every week is very educational and helpful. Thanks
As I'm sport professional I can describe the app as not fully appropriate. From the 2nd and 3rd trimester at least 2 of the exercises stated for each day are absolutely not suitable for the pregnant women in that stage. It would be good if you have a conversation with pregnant women and try to do any of these exercises so you ll have an idea which ones you can use in the app. Regards
it's just the same 7-8 exercises repeated thru 1 trimester. then the next trimester, you get 8 new exercises, expected to do it 6x/week? boring. I found it annoying to have to press the start button to begin each interval, I'd prefer to have a 10-15 second break between each interval and pause it if I need more time to recover.
The app is cool, just wish there was more variety in the exercises. Doing the same exercise sequence from trimester 1 can be monotonous. Otherwise the exercises are great for a beginner, the intensity level can be pushed up a bit. Other than that the app is great ๐๐พ
Thia rating might change later on as this is the first impression. The ball appears in the majority of the exercises. I don't own one, i don't have space at home for it and i don't see there's an option for alternative. I had better hopes to use this app, now I'm demotivated again to start moving after such a long time.
Once you pick a trimester it doesn't let you change to another one until you've completed the exercises for the weeks in that trimester. I am in my second and just wanted to see what the ones in the first looked like and now can't go to the second trimester to do the exercises that actually fit where I am at in my pregnancy.
Timing is a little off when you start each individual exercise. But so far it's working for me! I love that it has a set of exercises for every single day of your pregnancy (with 1 rest day/week). It's a great motivator to actually do a bit of exercise each day as it doesn't take long and gives you a visual of how much you've completed for each week.
Overall, I liked the app. But in the third trimester, you had exercises like the Swiss ball backbend, which was hurting me. I have since been reading about diastasis recti and backbends are explicitly mentioned as something to avoid (among other abdominal exercises). I think you should probably revisit your ab workout suggestions.
Doesn't seem to be focused on strengthening muscles needed for giving birth, it's just an exercise routine in general. Also, so many ads! Including video ones that I'd expect from a free game. Deleted immediately.
The app has a great layout as it has exercises planned for each trimester and week, would of been better if you could choose the intensity of the workout though as its a bit basic, also the duration of the workout could be a bit longer with perhaps more exercises or cycles
The app is okay. I just hit my second trimester and I downloaded it during my first but I didn't use it. It is a good way to get a quick workout in if you don't have a routine and they are safe workouts. My only issue is the counting is off and the graffics are terrible.
I would enjoy it but it's so boring!! I love that it's short, but everyday the same workouts - except 1 is changing daily. Why? It makes me think to give up and search something else. Also day 2 at 2nd trimester stuck, can't load the workout, I tried many times, like this can't complete the day ( I did alone but what shows is like 70%)...
I absolutely love this app!!!๐๐๐๐ It has exercises specifically set for your trimester and it also gives you a calendar for each trimester week-by-week on how your baby is developing and growing. It is so neat. I will definitely recommend this app to all my friends and family. You should definitely download this app. You will absolutely love it too.
Just did my very first workout, stopped half way through and never lets me continue. fortunately I work out in general and know the exercises, I was mainly interested in the schedule, since there are some exercises you are not supposed to do when you are pregnant. But still, that's not like I'm fully able to use the app. Also I read about it in reviews and they answered the last person with that problem that they fixed it. Well let me tell you, it is not....
This app is very easy to use and gives you exercises for all 3trimesters! Love the visual animations for each exercise which helps me correct if I am doing an exercise wrong. Also love that each exercise has a timer to it so I don't have to time it myselfโก Definitely recommend this to any preggo gals out there.
I'm sure if you do it from the beginning it's great but you can't easily switch between 1st and second trimester etc if starting later and hard to get back to the home to start selection again. description of baby progress each week is minimal.
We looked into this at week 13 of pregnancy and I'd like my week numbers to match but the app wouldn't allow me to. I'd have a week one, two etc when I'm doing my best to keep up with 13 that I'm on. The dates are backwards with no ability to turn them around. It's just a bunch of numbers that frustrate me. If it was 2 April or 7 Jan at least then my mind wouldn't have to be addled figuring. When looking for insights I generally don't like mundane distracting confusion.
This app is the truth! Very user friendly. Helps you calculate your date and it has different workouts for every step of the way. For those who lack exercise equipment, You can improvise with house hold items. The app is great!!!
The app is full of ads. Also, the workouts look really boring and seem to be mostly about stretching. Most disappointing, though, is the need for additional equipment, like a ball and weights. Removed it again right away.
1. Horrible, glitchy UI. For example, some of the weeks don't open when tapped. 2. No option to mute sound all the way through 3. Instead of week 15 you have to select 2nd trimester then week 2. 4. Exercises don't vary from day to day. This app is best for giving you an idea of some of the exercises you can do during pregnancy but then you can delete it.
