I took them to help boost my credit score after a bankruptcy, I noticed the insane fees al& charges then paid it off. I'll keep paying mymonthly fee w/ my $0 balance until I can remove them w/out it dinging my credit score. They keep offering me an increase limit but it's a fee. Haha! I keep declining it bc all of my cap 1 cards, navy federal & discover keep doing it for free. But if you really need a jump start then go for it. Just be mindful. Oh & they want to keep ahold of your over payments.
The card is good if you have a low credit score and need to rebuild or start building credit. The interest rates are high. I have had this card now for 6 months. Ill update with more information when I can. I have nothing bad to say but it doesn't seem to offer automatic increases like advertised. Update: I have shut this card off. No increase in a year. Never late on payments. Never went over 30 % usage. Only when I called to shut it off, they offered to increase another 150.00. Not worth it.
New UI update has really cleaned up the app, the information is displayed clearly and it's easy to switch between different cards now. Premier gave me a opportunity to build credit when no one else would so I'm not going to complain about rates. It's a compromise that has to be made when your credit is not favorable.
Ever since they updated the app, when I attempt to schedule a payment, it won't submit. It just keeps returning me to the previous page, I called to see if there was a record of the payment I submitted, and there wasn't. It seems the app update just made things more complicated. I never had a problem submitting a payment through the app before, but now I have to do it through there website, so the app is just taking up space on my phone now.
DO NOTE UPDATE!!! App doesn't work! Since this latest update, when I click on the green Login button in the middle of the screen, LITERALLY NOTHING HAPPENS!!! I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and the same thing occurs! It bewilders me why these app developers completely BREAK apps that were working perfectly fine! This is BEYOND RIDICULOUS!
The app was very outdated but it provided the necessary information. With the new update, it crashes after login. Android pops up a message saying that the app has crashed due to a bug. Once the developer has fixed it, update the app. First time I have ever seen this message. Now I can't check my balance.
Have yet to see a quality app from this company, unfortunately. Old version was worse. Thankfully the reboot is more modern, but after most recent update app crashes immediately after login. Every time. Tried clearing cache and uninstalling/reinstalling. No dice. Can't view balance or make payments.
Honestly I wouldn't recommend this credit card interest is high and there's also a monthly fee even if you don't use the card the fees keep adding up. They don't offer a auto pay so you have to be ontop of making the payments 2 day prior to due date or they will charge you for late fee.
Frustrated. I don't understand why the update and why everytime I login, I get kicked out be fore selecting anything. Before you rebuttal, yes I have biometrics setup (always have), yes I have the new version and yes I did uninstall and reinstall. No one who patronizes this app should have to jump thru hoops to make YOUR system work. Not happy!
This is the worst credit card I've had experience with. The fees are outrageous, payments take forever to post, reporting takes too long, and to top all of that the new app completely doesn't work.
The app has been completely redesigned, and is now far better than ever! I just wish their credit cards had the Touchless feature. I hate sticking my card in the always-broken-and-dirty card readers at stores. Now, on to the credit card itself (I have two now, one for over 10 years, going on 11) - they are an excellent credit building card company, even though you'll get saddled with a bunch of fees over the life you have the card. Their customer service is very nice - every single person I have ever spoken with over the phone has been very respectful, honest, helpful and polite - I guess these negative reviewers who mention terrible customer service do not show the same respect that they would want in return - catch more bees with honey than with vinegar I believe. The card does have high interest, and they will not lower it at all over the life of your membership with them, but they do allow credit line increases every six months - and that has a TON to do with your long-term relationship with the bank. My credit limit started out at a measley $300 and now its a lot, lot higher. They are not as liberal with their credit line increases as most other banks, (i.e. Credit One Bank), so your limit won't increase drastically each time - but they do charge a "credit limit increase fee" of 25% so there's another fee assessed there. But, through them and with their "help" I have been able to get my credit score increased slowly throughout the years and been able to get different cards with different companies who don't charge near the interest or fees or anything like that. So, one must consider the burden and risk they take giving credit to people who don't have a good score, and also making money - which is their primary business model/plan. I would definitely recommend this card to anyone who is trying to RE-build (not start out building) their credit - that way you can keep the card for a while, bite the bullet and pay their horrendous fees and costs, and then move on to better, more beneficial and rewarding, lower cost credit cards - showing you and others that you have been responsible by paying your bills successfully. They could lower their fees and costs a little and still make enough money not to gouge the hard-working person out of their hard-earned money though... just a suggestion...
Did update and it wiped all my information and now will not let me login. I have to reset up the entire account like i was never using it before. What a joke done with this card. Time to pay it off and close it. I'll take the hit to my credit it will be worth it with all the fees they charge.
I hate that I have to get a code EVERY time I want to log in. Other than that, app is great. UPDATE While I know there is a biometrics option, it is not one I'm interested in. I'd love for it to go back to using my password and not having to get a code. Especially since my phone number keeps getting deleted as an option to have the code sent to. So it goes to my email, which I have to sign into to get that email.
If you get your credit score up they should take that into consideration and drop your 14.95 a month fee and also the annual fee I. At 36% interest rate. Sad. Paying one off today the next one next week. Dropping them sent off for a new Discover card that is more in credit then the two of premier with not fees for 8 months. Also a Capital One to counter balance my credit score.
App does not work at all. I've updated, uninstalled and reinstalled several times and it will not let me sign in. Ever since the update it does not work for anything.
It was a good app but i had to update it to use it and now that it is updated everytime i try to log in to check my amount or make payments it crashes, never had this problem with the old version.
This app worked fine in Puerto Rico but it's hell to use in Colombia. I get a million codes and once I put in, it doesn't get off that's screen. Occasionally I go to another screen to get code come back to find it shut and have to re enter and request a new code.
This update screwed my account up. Everytime I login it sends me the code I enter it, then repeat. Username and password, text code entered then repeat. This app demanded I update it all for this. Guess now I'll uninstall the app. And why have the app when the app itself takes you to the browser just to login?
The app has major problems. Update made it worse. I can't log in. And all the other reviews are true when it comes to hi fees and automatic increases never happen.
Thank you for the quick response fixing the apps bugs. This card was my very first credit card. When nobody would give me one, these guys did. I've been building my credit and I still have this card, along with others.
I was hoping their new credit card app would be better, but it's worse. The updated app won't be stay open for me. Says there's a bug and wait for the developer to fix. Hope that's soon!
Can't login. You say an update was setup on 5/23 yet this app is still having trouble with login. This is so the card company can gain more late fee. I see how this works. Dont ever use this card company they like take money or use excuses like oh IT is working on that.
It was working fine until this update and now it shuts down every time I log in. I can't get into my account anymore. What good is an update if it creates more problems and doesn't solve any solutions?
Ever since the recent update I can no longer log into my account at all. Specifically the login button does not function at all which does not allow me to see my card activity etc.
Worst card ever. They don't take debit card payments. If you pay with your checking account takes 7-10 days for it to go through. And customer service is horrible!!!!!!
Forced me to update app and now it won't open. Every time I try and open app it says bug issue clear cache, which I did. How do you update an app and it doesn't work.
I just received my card but yet I can't create an account. It keeps saying unable to do request at this time. I have tried multiple times and still keep getting the same thing SMH
The new "update" is no longer allowing me to log in. Otherwise this app has always been great. Now I'm worried about fraudulent activities. Thank you for the response! 1st premier
App doesn't work. Crashes everytime after entering pin. Edit: they fixed it. Added a star. Add autopay and I'll throw a 5th one on.
Forced to install new Premier app and this version has a bug, now I am unable to login and pay my monthly statement. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and it immediately closes down with an error message. Can't imagine this does not violate any credit laws. Will users receive late fees because Premier removed their ability to pay their monthly fees? Get this corrected immediately! In response to Premier App tech response: I have the latest version. It's still crashing.
