Prepaid2Cash was founded by two financial technology entrepreneurs in San Francisco. The founders frequently received rebate and award gift cards from buying goods online and could not find any way to redeem the cards for cash. After experiencing this consumer pain point first hand, they partnered with leading banking and payments institutions to offer a simple and fast service to help consumers redeem their unwanted prepaid cards. The company and service came to be known as Prepaid2Cash, which was officially launched to the public in early 2016.

I gotta say they came through an transferred the money to my bank. I was nervous after some of these bad reviews. It was a lot to lose. 300. I took the instant transfer. Ate like 40bucks definitly worth it to be done with that worthless vanilla gift card. It was pending verification long enough to make me worried. But they came through. I will use it again.
2 stars for a great concept, but unfortunately it doesn't work very well. It's not mentioned anywhere so it's important to know that there's a minimum transaction limit of $20 for prepaid cards & $25 for gift cards. The maximum transaction limit per user during a 24 hour period of time is $500 for prepaid cards & $1,000 for gift cards. I hope that saves some people a little time & digging. I did attempt a $25 Walmart card & all I got was an error screen. Anyway, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Super fast, better than advertised! With your first transaction they said identity verification can take up to 24 hours. I submitted mine right around midnight and at 7 am it was approved and funds were deposited. Super happy with the service!
This App is easy, quick & great. Works extremely well just have a supported cards. It Also have a variety of options on how to receive your money with cheaper rates and quicker receiving time. Great job !
This app is great. It took no longer than an hour to approve my prepaid visa card, and it was in my account by 5 am the next day. My vanilla mastercard didn't work, though (said card declined), but the vanilla cards have been giving me trouble everywhere. My only problem is how it doesn't keep me signed in. What's the point of having a 4-digit code if it just logs me out after a couple days of not using the app?
Had to change my rating...this app was perfect some months back...but now never accepts vanilla gift cards...which is 1 of the 2 cards advertised on the app...Makes no sense. Its like a fast food restaurant advertising burgers and fries..but is always out of fries
The app works perfect a life saver for me I use gift cards as a form of cash advances, I had a guy that gave me really high percentage on gift cards but his shop went out of business do to covid. This app doesn't give the the percentage I use to get from him, but it's not horrible.
I went to use the app and once I entered my card info it said I was not correctly entering the numbers and wouldn't work. My $200 balance went to $0 in the next 30 minutes while sat on the couch confused about how there has been 10 transactions made in 30 minutes.... NOT ONE WAS MINE. P2C ROBBED ME!!!
Best fastest support response and solution I've actually ever experienced. Alton is an awesome person. I think these 1 star reviews might just be from people doing it wrong because I got transaction approved instantly after I emailed support all I had to do was tell them how I was about to be homeless and I might die without this so please let me know what's up and then they tell me to send pic of card 2start processing... weird okay yeah I'm kidding this app shady AF lol ty thoAltonsrsly 🤟
I had a virtual Visa from Mistplay for $25. I gave Prepaid2Cash the required info and three days later it's in my bank account. I couldn't be happier with this app I was really skeptical but am very happy with the results and will continue to use this app. Thank you, Prepaid2Cash.
Worked as described, exceeded my expectations. I had never heard of this app, or any like it. I found it too good to be true, as it the app didn't have too many downloads. But I tried it out. In under 5 minutes I had an account created, a transaction complete, and money in my checking account. The fees may be a bit steep, I ended up paying about a 16% fee. I'm not sure if the fees increase with the transaction value, but I was okay losing $8 on a $50 giftcard. I will be using this app again!
So I had a $100 visa ( no cash value ) card, and after attempting to sale it on various apps with no luck, I found this app and everything was as promised. I highly recommend them. Was paid $85 directly into my bank acct in approximately 2hrs. Once verified process goes quickly and smoothly.
App crashes instantly, no reply from customer service. I downloaded the app and barely made it as far as able to enter a personal pin number. However it then instantly crashes and says that the account is not available, then the app reboots. I have never been able to use the app yet because of this. I went to the website to contact customer service which promises to respond within 48 hours and this never happened. I just now sent a second request, but sort of doubt I will hear from them.
Everything was quick easy and painless I thought this was a scam at first but I went with the bank account option next day woke up money in account no problems highly recommended this app great pay easy way to turn gift cards into cash
The App Itself Is Easy To Use. The Scanner Never Works So I Always Have To Enter My Gift Card Manually, Then Submit Pictures To Show Proof That Its Mine. But The Processing Is Quick. Usually 2 Days. I Do Direct Deposit. I Like The App. I Just Wish They Would Fix The Camera Part So We Can Easily Scan The Gift Card.
Right now I'm giving a 3 star because It did take my prepaid card and it going through ID verification process now I hope the transfer the money to my bank account because they have already took the money off of my prepaid card this was about 10:30 last night it is 7 am now so it hasn't been 24 hours yet but after reading some of the reviews I'm a little worried they will keep my money hope not.
Horrible!! Worked a few times for small amounts then I tried to do one for $300 and they took it out from my gift card but never deposited it to my bank card and put a 10 hold but is now saying they arent responsible to return my funds to my gift card and that the gift card issuer is lol. What a scam! If my money isnt returned to me im reporting them as fraud. Already emailed this company several times with no help. Now doing a reciew they want to help? Sure release my funds back now
🚨🚨🚨DO NOT USE...worst experience ever had. I ain't inquired to see how much they would offer me. This was on the 19th. I didn't like the proposal, it was a ripoff number 1. robbery. .2 I never authorized or agreed for anyone to take 2 $10 tra out off my card. Customer service said it was a temporary hold. 2 days max it would reapply. Just got off the freezer for the third time and they told me they still there's no credit it's been 5 days. RIPOFF 🚨🚨🚨 DO NOT USE
I just tried using it and I kept getting notified that my gift card and amount information was incorrect even though it wasn't I even checked on the gift card website to check the balance and it hasn't changed
Best app ever I've! I've been using this app for almost a year. Their support team is always available and I usually receive my payment the next day. Anyone who says anything negative about this app apparently has never used it
App seemed to work ok but what it doesn't tell you till after you sign up is that for vida digital rewards you must have 20 dollars on them like how does that help me bundle them? I'm really mad these people have all my information and I can't use it! They should definitely have that information front and center when the ad saids turn in used cards....
They make it pretty difficult to turn prepaid cards into cash.... even after I submitted my ID verification they still denied my transactions and won't let me use instant transfer.... lame AF.
Horrible experience. They took my bank info and almost immediately cancelled my account, so I can't even go in and attempt to scrub any personal information.
verify identity up to 24hrs, It doesn't let u know until one step away from completing the transaction. its disappointing when you think your almost done and then there's a hold for 24hrs until they very your ID.
It's okay but they need to fix the amount of gift cards you can use or brand names I mean right they say they have over 75 brand names you can use of gift cards and they only have so many listed and you can type it up and they won't pull up any of them I try to use my Dunkin' Donuts gift card and it will not pop up

You are guilty of False Advertising. You do not have over 75+ brands on your options for gift card merchants. You also did not get in touch with me within 48 hrs. of my query. All you had to do was confirm that you do not accept gift cards from STEAM.

Claims to accept Target gift card on the website but once I downloaded the app and went to add my target gift card, Target isn't on the list of merchants. What gives???
The app is good and very convenient as the process is fast but the processing fees are high. Going through PayPal saves more money. For a $50 gift card, I would receive $44 from p2c but $48 from Paypal. If the processing fees can belowed then this is would be the perfect app for exchanging giftcards to cash.
