Considering buying the pricey lunchbox; wanted to see this first. Beyond basic as apps go. It has *not* been updated in TWO YEARS! :/
Needs more recipes and should be frequently updating. Mainly got the lunchbox for the convince with the companion app.
needs more recipes, qfter all this time only 72?
Not updated dince 2016 and no new vegan recipes
Why have you NOT added new receipes since 2016... WTH
Hasn't been updated in years
What the hell is this
App seems laggy, doesn't have a kj option (my country doesn't use Calories) range of recipes is low, and many recipes seem pretentious with fancy ingredients in small quantities making cost and packet waste an issue. It's only the begining so and there is potential for improvement, so I hope to one day be able to come back and give a better review.
Going back to work full-time and I wanted a functional, cute, and high quality lunch box; I just stumbled across the Prepd kit online and it seemed perfect. I downloaded the app just to see how useful/helpful it was. It is a great idea and easy to navigate! However it is severely lacking in vegan meals. The vegetarian meals can be easily adapted to fit a vegan diet but in order to enjoy the app's design/intention fully it would be much better to have more dairy and meat free options to choose from! You guys should seriously consider partnering with vegan chefs/vloggers to create more recipes for the app. May I suggest Lauren Toyota?
Good app, reasonably fluid. It would however be nice to have the ability to mix and match the different boxes to tailor meals to certain tastes. Sliced apple isn't exactly pushing culinary limits and I would like to be able to swap this item out in my shopping list for something like the speedy hummus without having to add a whole new recipe. Just a thought, otherwise pretty excited to keep using the app. Nice job!
Sent a message to customer service via the Help function in the app, only to be told by customer service that they don't check app messages any more. Recipes are unimaginative and can be found online. The actual food storage box is falling apart upon arrival. Failure
Good recipes, could be a bit heartier on the whole. A few notes on what i think could improve function: -checkboxes next to the steps in the directions. I tend to basically make several meals simultaneously rather than making one start to finish, then moving on to the next. So If i have 4 meals on my prep list, it would be cool to be able to check off that i made the dressing from two, chopped all the veggies for all 4, and cooked the meat. That way when i look at each recipe, i can tell at a glance what steps still need completed. -it would be cool if we could add custom items to our shopping list, so that we can use this app as a main shopping list. For example, at the end of the list of ingredients needed for the boxes on my prep list, i want to add paper towels, plastic wrap, trash bags, etc. That way i don't have to have 2 lists at the store -it would be incredibly helpful to format the ingredients as "2 potatoes, diced" rather than have the ingredients list say "2 potatoes" and then having "dice the potatoes" under directions. I don't know about anyone else, but i almost always cut the ingredients as part of gathering them (mise en place), so it's frustrating to constantly switch back and forth between the ingredients and directions tabs to see how much i need and what i have to do with them. -finally, i saw a few recipes that called for "1 cup rice (cooked)." not sure if this is an American thing, but i have only ever seen it written as either "1 cup cooked rice," meaning you take a cup of rice, cook it, and use all of it in this recipe, or as "1 cup rice, cooked," meaning you cook a pot of rice and scoop out one cup to use in this recipe. The way it is written in the recipes on this app is really confusing to me.
Oh dear. You partnered with top chefs to put together recipes for hard-boiled eggs and coleslaw?! Content discovery, navigation, functionality, execution and content itself are all incredibly poor. It's actually quite impressive how you managed to mess up such a simple application.
I definitely think the team needs some support in further maintenance and update of this app. The slow response and image load failure has made this app somewhat boring to use.
For the most part, I think the app is well formated. It lags a bit and takes a little while for images to load. I'd like the option of having sides and main dishes separate from each other so that I can mix and match my meals.
Why so laggy? It can't keep up with even the slightest scroll, back button still doesn't work all the time. Can't exit the app, have to force close every time. This recent update doesn't seem to have accomplished much. It's a shame because some of these recipes are great.
The app is too buggy to use. I'll tap on a recipe and instead of going to the recipe it goes to a different screen. It needs a desperate fix to be usable
theres been such minimal updates to this app since launching that it certainly wasn't worth the high cost to support the project. I rarely use this app as there are only 72 recipes, 15 vegan friendly.
Half-baked indigogo project months overdue, no post-funding support. Big disappointment.
Laggy and some recipes are either missing pictures or have the erroneous ones.
App looks great but wasn't there supposed to be a gluten free option?
Love this app. Any chance you could add Fructose-Free as one of the preferences?
Great start! Really enjoyed all the healthy centered meals. However 2 problems: 1) Back button not working in the app (S7 Edge), 2) put meals that are faster to make while being healthy / vegetarian (as a student, time is very short and you should give us more options and even at a tab for fast meals. Keep the great work
Back button does not work (at least at my note 7) you can get trap on certain pages and you will need to close the app and reopen it to continue. After Reply: I can't see any new updates. Also the back button still doesn't work.
The app overall isn't too bad. It could use some work on the UI to make it a bit easier to use. The only really issue I have with this app is that there's just way too much yuppie vegan food in here. I'm not a rabbit. I don't want to eat tons of veggies for lunch. Give me something a man should eat!
Works great and i like the design and recipes. I would recomend adding the option to use the back button to exit the app for android users. Right now we have to open the tabs window of all the running apps to be able to close it.
I like it. Now, when it started to work I can see that you have done very good work :-) Two things: search option would be useful and exiting app with "back" button would be nice :-) and I hope there will be even more recipes in the future :-)
I backed Prepd when it was on IndiGoGo. I was most excited for the app because it said it would have recipies and help with portion sizes. I only found maybe 4 recipies that I liked and the selection hasn't been updated since its launch.
