This app is great. Being able to study with the click of a button. Although, dont depend entirely on the app to pass. I passed with a 70% (by the skin on my teeth). The actual test is about having an understanding of these questions. I highly recommend getting the test prep Jeppesen books. Be sure to read the question, answer and explanation. Have a good understanding of what the meaning is they're trying to get across. Goodluck!
The app did a good job of getting me ready to take the general written exam, but there are a lot more questions that they can test you on that's not on this app. I was getting a 96% and above on the practice tests with the app and got a 73% on the actual test (passing score is 70%, but a pass is a pass). So just be mindful, it may be worth looking into other studying tools as well.
This app isn't as good as it should be for preparing you for the test. I used it in conjunction of the study guide book. I was scoring in the 80's consistently for almost a month and I failed with a 65%. When I took the test I was asked several questions that weren't in the study guide or in this app. I also noticed that some of the answers were completely changed. Some of the questions must be weighted more heavily. I got 43 out of 60 correct which is a 71.6% and not 65% when you do the math.
Well guys, nothing to worry about this app. I just passed the test studying with this app. Try to present the test with at least 95% or more in the app because it will significantly reduce in the real test. The problem is not about the prepware, the problem is about the platform of the real test. They scramble many questions and make it a little confused but most of the questions are in this app.I Bought prepware books 2021 and have the same content. Don't waste money on the books.
NEED TO UPDATE! I had the FAA writens exam this week so i studied this app. Before studying i updated the app. I reviewed ALL QUESTIONS and when the testing happend, there were several questions not covered on this app that the FAA changed. I passed but it threw me off. Good app otherwise. Should be able to just hit "next" or "previous" on the test review instead of going back and forth to the questions
Just passed my written general. I used almost solely this app. I did not attend a school or class. Just on the job experience and studying this app. This was only about 80% of the questions on the test. The test isn't always worded the same so pay attention.
FOR THOSE OF YOU STUDYING FOR YOUR WRITTENS: DO! NOT! only study the "Test" mode that gives you 60 questions. You NEED to have gone through all 12 sections and should know AT LEAST your Electricals, Weights and Balances, Aircraft Drawings and Maintenance publications. You'll see that many reviewers here are rather upset that they just barely passed, or flunked and wasted 175 bucks. This is why! Don't be lazy! Have faith in yourself and run through these questions so you cruise thru the exam!
Good to to use but Needs to update more frequently. Seems they are behind the curve a bit on study questions used on the test.
I think the FAA doesn't give all the questions to prepware or something because there were questions that weren't on the preware material, there were also altered questions on the test but the app is easy to operate and gives you explanations for the problems.
I was getting mid 90's on the practice test only to get a 50% on the real test. There was so many missing things and questions I never saw. The Written rewrites the questions and mixes them up its hardly the same at all. Prepware will only help you so much you need other study material. The FAA changed everything around JAN 2020 its all stupid now.
Good start for preparation, app appears to be out dated, when i took the exam i have notice some questions that was not covered in the prep ware. It helps a bunch but to be safe, extend your research beyond the app aswell.
Excellent to help you get your general license. I got mine. The study and test are excellent. Statistics for scoring are a great help.Zero adds.
Need better questions, explanations (some explanations are literally just the question and answer), and it needs to be if we exit out of a test, it automatically saves. FAA really half-as$es their education for as much as they expect us to be diligent in our knowledge.
Just failed my exam after getting a 96% on the practice tests. I have been studying for a month straight. The questions are not representative of the actual test.
definately helped in preparing for finals....some questions are worded differently on the main general test but the similiarity of them helps a lot
It was a good study tool to use. Learn each section then take a few practice tests, when good enough take the written test. I got 91 on written test
Nice and simple but it's missing 3 chapters and I'll mention it 1- nondestructive testing 2-hand tools and measuring devices 3- aircraft hardware
Works pretty good, you can't see prior practice test scores and you can't mark questions.
They did an update on this app and now all the answers are scrambled. It makes it nearly impossible to study and memorize the questions. This app is useless.
Why isn't there a all in one bundle? But then IOS does. I should of never switched to android.
I have the hardware in my laptop, I feel that what is missing is the ability to highlight the correct answer. I hope the next update has this.
Matches the written pretty well. But getting the manuals give more detail
If you want to pass your general written exam, BUY THIS APP 100% worth the money, I passed my test using it.
I been using this app for the past 1 year and I finally finished my General Written exam with an 80%
new question on actual test is not on apps yet after several apps update, faa update there questions.
Not good . But its very diferent with the test.
Very useful source to pest you're general writing test
not like i phone update .. there is different
I like the apps, don't get me wrong. I don't like that if I click off of it for any reason that it resets. I would to be able to select multiple sections ,not one or all, to study or test. Also it would be nice to the app could (or the user) create a bank of missed questions so that you are not spending time on the ones that you know the answer to.
