app started out great but i have to log in each time i want to use it. as a subscriber to the paper i feel this app takes too much effort on my small phone to continue to use it. maybe the next iteration will be bettet.
Can't log in with the same credentials I use on the (mobile) website, using the July 30th app update on my Pixel 2. Whoops! Somebody screwed up. Uninstalling the app again...
Would like the flashing ad on the bottom of the screen to go away. Would rather sift thru actual ads between the paragraphs such as the NYT's
It is a pretty decent app.... When it decides to work. I'm about a newspapers thickness away from subscribing to Bangor Daily News.
I look forward to reading it everyday. I do not like the new format as I read it mostly on my phone and it's too busy.

Press Herald provides fact-based objective news. I also appreciate their community stories about Mainers helping others.

2019: new phone & it won't accept my password! Why does it capitalize every letter no matter how I format it?! 2016 review: I'm here to download it again!!!! So why must we have an ad show up when you open it? It's the content that costs money, but far less expensive than the bigger papers South of us. When they update or change the app, the company doesn't tell you right away, so you're stuck with an app that doesn't load or function. I'd give up on it but I'm such a news junkie.
App forces you to use their clunky ui rather than the built in Android back/home buttons. I would have preferred a container for the website over this junk.
This app is great.
About four days ago this app completely stopped functioning on my LG 3 and S4. Too bad, I did enjoy it when it was working. Must need updating I suppose
The app has not worked on my Samsung S5 Note for close to a week now. Uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. It can't take this long to fix!
Stopped working may 1st. Uninstalled and installed still not working.
If you browse the website using incognito mode or private browsing mode, you can get around the 10 article pay block that they are using. It won't remember your computer or the articles you've viewed when you do that. Free news all month! Uninstalled! Bangor Daily News is a good alternative.
Was always free til now. What a waste! I will never again use PPH for any news source
Paid app now. I use to buy paper when convenient but not anymore will be reading other AP sources.
People have to provide for their own. You cannot get paid if everything you do is given away free. What would you do?

Was free. Now costs. Too many free news apps out there and usually by the time PPH reports something ive already heard or read it elsewhere.
This has been a free app and is not up to date news. I will not pay for the app. Time to go elsewhere for my news as there are free A.P. sites. Bye PPH.

Very Good Newspaper. The App is also very good. Everything works in the app like it should.
