This has evidently been abandoned. Doesn't work and no reply from support or developers. Package says works on all nexus devices. Definitely doesn't work on Nexus 6P. It actually worked with the Pixel but there are so many annoyances with this device.... Just not worth it. What a waste of time. Uninstalled and thrown in the drawer of failures. This is a true Failure on every level. App, support and use. Packaging was ok. That's it!!!
I love it. It does so much. But not anymore that an NFC app. I still have to root my phone to get the app to do things such as toggling Airplane mode. However, My biggest gripes are that I can't get the button out without losing the button (I have arthritis in my hands), then have to scrambled to find it; and I have a hard time getting it into the jack without pushing the button. Oh, to be young again.
I don't write reviews very often on here, but this time I have to. This is a great tool that is ruined by its software. Everything works great on the HTC 10 unless you have a smart watch. This thing generates a notification on the watch that cannot be blocked and flickers nonstop. It will drain your battery before you know it. It's a horrible glitch that will not be fixed. It's been an issue for a long time. If you have an android wear, DO NOT BUY.
I'm finding a little too much lag between when I press the button and when it does something. On my HTC one m9 I find the button sticks out too far. Overall I like it for getting to apps really quickly when my screen is off.
The app does nothing. When I press on the button, the phone vibrates, but that's all it does. The app somehow recognizes that the button is being pressed, but none of the tasks I've saved go off. No Flashlight, no foursquare checkin, no apps opening. The only thing it does is randomly changing the volume (and that's not a rule I've set!).
Was an original Kickstarter backer. The pressy never worked right on my previous 3 phones. Audio problems, microphone problems. Recognition problems. I try it again every year or so after an update or new phone. It finally seems to work OK on an s7edge with Nougat.
I have tried this on 3 different phones and there always issues. On 3 different watches there is permanent pause button on the face that you can't get rid of. I can't figure out how to put the pressy into the headphone jack without pushing the button. Poor design. Over a good idea with subpar execution. Deleting this app for the 4th and final time.
Loved it for my Note 3 but just upgraded to the LG V20 and it thinks headphones are plugged in always. Probably not compatible with Android 7 (Nougat).
Droid RAZR. I get two independent actions as a result. Also not crazy about losing touchless control, a selling point of my particular phone. Will change if the issues are addressed. Edit: Nexus 6p, doesn't support marshmallow. Lol, so bad.
Deal-breaker for me and phone is not being able to answer and initiate calls using a speaker with a physical button. This was finally a solution although I needed the soundabout app to really make it work
What a waste. I was an original kickstarter backer and just recently found my pressy. I thought I would give it another shot. I tried to set it up 3 times and it kept saying that the button was pressed when I installed it. The 4th time I put the pressy in my headphone jack it broke :(
The options are very limited and the Pressy and app is borderline useless. Everything you can currently do with this set up, you can do with your phones current hardware buttons and free or cheap apps. If more and better options become available within the app as well specialty options for us with ROOT, I'll change my rating. Until then 1 star. UPDATE (8/4/16): I decided to retry Pressy. My issue this time is a bug. It makes my HTC 10's proximity sensor black out my screen while not even in the phone app.
I was excited in getting pressy, but very disappointed with the lag. I really hope they resolve this issue as I feel like I've just wasted my money. Running on Nexus 5X.
I dont know why everyone complain about app. Command doesn't happen immediately. Doesn't work at all and lagging. Honor 6
Does not work on my 6p. This is not worth the money. The Mi from AliExpress cost about $5 and works better.
One minor complaint keeping from a 5 star rating... The app doesn't run persistently, meaning that if I hit "close all apps", the Pressy hardware doesn't work as intended until I reopen the Pressy app. Minor annoyance, should be an easy fix.
Since the lollipop update, pressy kills my moto 360 in about 30 minutes. Causes the watch to constantly flash between pressy connected AMD the music I'm playing. Please address this issue so I can use pressy again.
If insert by accidentally pressed the button the app doesn't recognize. Slowly insert without pressing the button, the pop up to show whether or not is pressy or headphone doesn't appear at all.
First had no code and they sent me one love this so much just can't tell love you pressy
Used this on two different handsets, HTC one and Sony xperia Z3 compact. The more complex the press sequence the more problematic. Fix the lag issues and it'll be 5 stars.
It works well enough. The flashlight takes a while to turn on from one press which kind of defeats the point, but, whatever. Camera opens nicely on a double press.
I've purchased 3 pressy devices, one as a gift. The first one lost the ability to click/press and the button of the second device fell off entirely. This is a great idea in theory but the build quality is worse than Chinese.
It repeatedly mistakenly thinks that I pressed the button when I inserted the damn thing and then refuses to work.
Works half of the time. Often enough to give you hope but fails so often it is frustrating.
Nifty idea but even on the galaxy S7 the delay is horrible it's faster to just use the phone. Whenever I use it I end up triggering a different action too. Waste of money.
Pressy is still not compatible with Android Marshmallow even after supposed "update". Hopefully the developers are still committed to this product.
I was an original backer of Pressy, but then gave up on it. At the time I thought it was my phone, so I waited until I got a new device. Well, it wasn't the phone. After setting everything up and having selected eight different shortcuts, I did what I always did at night: turned off my phone. This morning, when I tried to use Pressy, it acted as though it wasn't there, and reinserting it into the device made no difference (something that should not be required). Uninstalling. 0 Stars.
