Pretty Scale

The science behind the app seems solid, but in practical application it's lacking pretty heavily. Many reviews of this app seem to be people who are either happy or unhappy with the rating it gave them, which makes the ratings pretty unfair. I took two pictures, in the same lighting with the same expression. I aligned both pictures correctly and took my time ensuring that there were no slip-ups. My first result said I was a 95%, the second result gave me a 53%. Obviously pretty inconsistent.

You can pretty much fathom how this works. A dot appears for every feature where you mark, or a line, whatever really. The closer that part of the dot/line is to the perfect face (100%) one that they have, the higher your score. Hence why deformities don't matter, because it doesn't look at how much fat is in your chin or your missing eyebrow.

If you line everything up correctly then it's pretty accurate at telling you whether your face is symmetrical and in proportion however it won't notice if you're missing an ear, an eyebrow or if you have nice skin so it has limits of course. You can improve your score by tilting your head differently because it can't tell if you're looking slightly up which would make your face look shorter if it's too long.

I would give it 5 stars but it lowered my self-esteem so 4 stars take it or leave. I don't understand the bad reviews on this app, it runs very smoothly and there's no lags or glitches of any kind. If think it all depends on your phone. And it's actually accurate, it points out most of my insecurities (and have me new ones too, haha) so I think this app works well

It's fun to mess around with. People who take this seriously need to calm the hell down. It's not some advanced face detecting software. It literally just does some calculations based on the measurement of the lines that YOU moved around. Obviously it isn't going to be 100% accurate or even 60% accurate. This app deserves a higher rating than 3 stars.

This app dosent work well. Its frustrating to go, click a photo and then come again to click once more. It never showed any results. In fact i uninstalled and installed it twice. But !!!... Everyone is saying it showed them ugly but it never showed any results for me.....😶😶😶😑😐

Positives: Interface was great, made the process smooth and even as fun as staring at a picture of yourself for 5 minutes gets. Negatives: LEGENDARILY INACCURATE IN IT'S CONCLUSIONS The interface gave me an 81/100 now I can assure everyone I am at best a 15/100. The reason it gave me an 81? "good forehead size" "good intraocular distance". Granted it got my bad symmetry, chin, mouth and nose right. BUT THEN IT LOSES ME AT 81! How?! with a bad almost everything do I get in 20% of perfect?!? 2/5

This app is not the best beauty measurer out there. It goes by mostly beauty standards, but not the golden ratio symmetry, which is the true measure of facial beauty. It doesnt matter how big your forehead is for example, as long as its symmetrical to the rest of your face. Plus the scores can vary on this app. It also, in my opinion, gives lower scores than what it probably should. Its given me 69%, 65%, 74%, and so on. So you cant completely trust it.

i scored around 89-95% yes 95,% actually exist and i thought i was going delusional. but despite this rating, i'm giving this app a 3 stars. It's good runs smoothly but the alignment is sorta diffcult? Almost like a glitchly mouse that doesn't run smooth. Plus the fact that it can be damaging to your self esteem. Nontheless, it's an alright app kinda fun to play with. :) Remember you're beautiful!

This app is wildly innacurate. I took a photo of myself and got 75%, then used an older one which was not a good photo and got 86%. I also tried using models face shots and many of them got in the 50s, no way am I way more attractive then super models. This app doesn't work

Had results across a range starting from a high of 73 to low of 51. What the matter with this app? Even more confused than me about my looks. Whatever parameters it's basing the results on better be worked out ,sans which it's just useless.

Shaking my got dam head right now. I was using this app to judge my realism for art but whenever I try to select an image it will send me back to the start. (By the way even if you fix it the app will still be crud) this game has: flashing lights, SOOOO much lag and countless glitches. Fix yo got dam app.

it basically told me everything I already knew. that I have a big forehead, a wide nose, and small lips (they're plump just small compared to my nose) the thing is I don't fit Eurocentric beauty standards (and I'm white!) so this isn't an accurate app for me. it's entirely biased, I recommend that poc and non traditional looking white people avoid this app. it will just make you laugh or frustrate you. all in all its not a bad app, just a biased one.

App isn't bad but not good though. Unlike the other one, this doesn't have an AI based recognition of facial features we need to move the pointers. Needs lots of improvements

Garbage app, after the first facial alignment part it prompted me to move an arrow to a certain point, but no arrow appeared on screen. Tried restarting it multiple times, kept doing the same thing.

As it has already been mentioned, there is some "scientific" research on which the app is based. However even the scientists who conducted that research themselves admit that beauty is more than just the right proportions. I am neither beautiful nor attractive, I know that, yet I consistently scored between 75 and 80% (different pics of me) and having the app give me that positive feedback didn't change anything to the reality that I am not attractive, period. Those who tried different photos of themselves and negatively reviewed the app here because it gave different scores, have only themselves and their poor photo taking/managing skills to blame, the app is consistent. So beauty is definitely more complex to grasp. If the app tells you that you are ugly, then you indeed are, but only according to the standards set by it! I can fully appreciate and believe that despite that, you may be indeed very attractive and pretty. Different standards, you see. The real beauty test is done in real life, not by an app.

Terrible app. I litterally looked up the most buetiful girls in the world and then screenshoted it and line up the dots and every thing, and the results were that she was very ugly and she scored a 14. Which is not true ar all she should be a 100 so should everyone else. This app really brought down my self esteem and it probably brought down lots of others aswell. Just remember that you are buetiful no matter what a stupid app says.❤💗🌸

A question,why do we even need to try this app?People are perfect just the way they are!Even if you think you are perfect and you still try this app.You will get really really uncomfortable and selfless.This app is a total 'scam'

Waste of time. Doesn't show rating even after 5 mins and you can't leave app in background for its test. Why do this app need my storage permission? Scan face after using filter

Pretty Scale. There is no specific way to look "pretty" so you cannot define how "good" someone looks through an app. I personally feel good with myself but did this for fun since a friend told me to try it. Like with other people it specifically highlights what is not "good" about you so you will pick out those things in yourself after which is the opposite of what we aim for in loving ourselves. Remember that no matter how society shows us what "pretty" is, we are all truly beautiful :)

It is accurate to my shock.......i got 87 89 and 89 on 3 different photos.........i tried on my family members too on multiple photos but rhe result is the same cuz it takes into account your face shape and makeup wont help.....btw i am higher than the hottest celebs with makeup lol ......but try at your own risk cuz if u dont look that good .....this app can be harsh.

I wouldn't recommend this game if your self-esteem is low. Mine is and I used this app and it kept saying harsh things like my nose is to big for my face, my eyes are to far apart, my face is too long. Like I think I look like a average person but this app really hurt me. I get this an app believe me I do, but it's just really really harsh. I give this zero stars. I don't recommend it to anyone.

Worked for me. I got 74% which is more than I was expecting. Giving a person a low score doesnt make the app itself wrong though. Like, seriously if you dont have good self esteem do not use this app but I just think that that is common sense

you actually have to place your face in that oval shape correctly to get the results you desire, I got so insecure when it showed me YOU'RE UGLY thingy, but I just tried it again with the same picture but literally placed all my face in the oval and the result improved to YOU'RE A GOOD LOOKING, still I have alot of insecurities.

This app is cool. I find it amazing that a bot can analyze these things its amazing what technology can do. As someone with self esteem issues I laugh at the fact that a automated bot can call me ugly and pretty because I know it's only based on how the bot is programmed. I think I had most fun when I grabbed random memes and images just to see what the bot would say. If you have severe self esteem trust me do not use this app. But if you can understand that nothing it says is personal and only based on how it's programmed I say go right ahead to use this app

It's fair enough, they do scale your photo (not face) as described, thats it tho. I don't even think they need a photo of you. They just need you to point out a few proportions, which is never accurate with out cameras.

I got 71% good looking. And the app said I have bad face symmetry, but it was probably because it makes you place the lines on your face and it's hard to be persice with a small screen. So don't feel bad if it says you have bad face symmetry.
