Prime Photos from Amazon

Since yesterday all images are zoomed in awkwardly on Echo Show 8. I like being able to see all our family photos and while the images look on the small side they still look nice usually. Suddenly yesterday the images began displaying incredibly zoomed in, as in a small section of the image on the screen. I've checked settings: crop and smart crop are off, so there's no reason for this. There was a message that popped up in this app before it started doing that. Please fix this issue.

Recently the pics have been enlarglely zoomed in on a majority of the pictures that are uploaded, when at one point it was not. It would be nice to have this bug fixed as I would like to go back to viewing all of my pictures in its entirety and not the nostril or eyeball on someone's face. It's been this way for over a month already. FIX IT !!! I would give a 5 star, but not until the viewing of the pictures has been adjusted. There is no manuel way to do it in the app. Fix the problem!

I can't choose all photos in a folder to back up. And when I manually clicked on over 1000 photos, they did not upload or add to a folder. Clicking on the link to do so did nothing and then I lost all my progress when I tried again. Frustrating Also none of my videos are playing. File is there but it won't open. This isn't worth the trouble.. ALSO.. it would be nice to choose all photos instead of clicking on one at a time. Selecting from Amazon also related on my phone!

Love this app. I have it auto synced with my Smart TV. Until I delete the photos which are fuplicsted, unfocused or just not wanted, all 2000+ stream as my screen saver automatically. I love the "blurred photo" function. Identifies photos i don't want, 90% of time. So great. Highly recommend Amazon Photes. Has cloud storage too! Note: i stream with Amazon Prime . Not sure if it works with all streaming platforms tho.

If you have Amazon Prime you also have unlimited storage for all your photos. You can upload them manually and also let Amazon save them automatically from your phone. Another great service from Amazon! I think, but haven't checked this out yet, that you can also order hard copy prints, photo calendars, and other photo gift items. If so, then the photos would be convenient to order with Amazon's always excellent service.

No longer uploads photos. I've reset the cache and put right uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it still reports "Upload complete" even though there are hundreds of photos not uploaded. The annoying thing is I can still manually upload these one by one but the automatic scanning and uploading hasn't worked apparently in months and months. This is literally just a photo backup service and it can't do that.

App gives you the option to backup your photos without limited storage size for prime members however, the app is not user friendly, there is no option to organize the photos by albums or folders, this make it hard to find photos that even taken recently, also the AI engine doesn't find photos by search (for example searching for photos that contain 'cars'). I would expect much more from Amazon. This app is poor and lame. See Google Photos app with more functions.

Auto-backup is nice. Organization is effectively impossible. You can't "move" photos to albums, you just copy them. So you always have a huge mess of unorganized photos in chrono order to wade through. What's worse? If you want to add photos to an album, it doesn't hide or otherwise indicate which photos are already part of the album. User experience is seriously poor, please focus on improving it.

This app is horrible. Does not allow me to delete more than a few photos at a time, and it is sloooooow! While I like being able to backup my photos to my prime account, from my phone, managing them is just horrible, and this app is completely useless for that. It isn't much better on the windows desktop app either. There are much better backup options out there for photos.

I like the app, for the most part. Does often get stuck, esp. when uploading the last remaining pics when you're uploading while charging the phone. No way to force the stuck/paused sync. Would also like a feature where you can delete all photos off your phone (once safely backed-up on Amazon Photos) while leaving your phone's Favorite photos on the phone, and some photo-tagging features. Could use a few more bells and whistles, compared to similar services. Otherwise, no complaints here.

I want to like this photo app. As an Amazon Prime member, I definitely like the unlimited storage. Buuut... it seems to be kinda random as to what pics get saved. When memories pop up on my phone, I only see one or two pics. Because of this, I mostly use my Google Photos app for editing and especially searching for old photos. Amazon Photos also doesn't seem as intuitive as Google Photos.

Much is available here for unusual creations ... without including unnecessary Templates, . .for kids, etc. They also, seem to arrange all your photos in a nice display for You ... exluding all your own mistaken screen shots,,,as well..and duplicates. They allow you flexibility in this program. Much appreciated. Only wish for the the translucent look on the paint brush. Thank you, Jane.

I love albums. I have fun using search. I was looking for pictures of chickens I had taken over the years. Found them so much faster than scrolling through 15,000 pictures. I use the slides how opting at gatherings. It really gets folks sharing stories. An improvement I would like to have is a tag showing album titles that include the photo. I find I often re add to albums because I can't tell I have done it before.

After a few weeks I need to review my post. The interaction with the phone is too slow it took me ages to delete 50 photos all at once. It would be great to include an option to have larger/smaller icons when in the overview. It would be also nice to have an option to delete photos by default, instead of asking every single time. Overall a good app with a few things to improve.

Would be a great addition to Amazon services but you can't organize by folders you already have and have to scroll to find a photo that perhaps was taken months ago. The albums don't work properly and you can't share photos to the app either. I don't like leaving bad reviews but these are general user interface issues...

Great app for photos. With iPhone, video space fills very quickly. Love the memories the app sends me, the ability to delete what I want, and appreciate being able to find my pictures pretty quickly! Great app! What I would like is the ability to send directly from the app to messenger, rather than downloading first.

I tried it just to see how easy it is to remove your data once it has been loaded: as usual with Amazon it's absolutely impossible, they purposely make it very difficult and there is no option on the app apart from individually selecting every single file. I'm unsure this is even legal, at least in the EU. Uninstalled immediately and would suggest not to use of you have any interest in your privacy or even ownership of your data.

It's nice .I'm still learning my way around the app..I love Amazon...they have really put in the effort and work on these apps and Thier customers money as well as satisfaction is very much taken into consideration..it's not just Amazon trying to get the brand rich.. it's Amazon trying to put a smile on our faces as well as being cost aware ....great job Amazon. Four stars for now .reason is I can't access all the photos on my device in the photos app . I'll be back if I find it's my error ECT..

Update: I just lost thousands of pics because I thought they were safely backed up on Amazon Photos. They were NOT! So unhappy with this app. App uploads some photos then hangs, typically showing 2 photos remaining. And there it sits, draining my battery dry. Tried deleting the app and reinstalling, but had the same results.

Too soon to know. I'm still uploading. System appears to be working well. I will not know until I can verify the numbers and quality of cloud storage photos and the quality of a cloud storage processed photo. I am expecting no problems with Amazon stored images but prepared to manage all with existing ground level systems. Thank you, people of Amazon, for asking. Your work is appreciated. I expect to add the 5th star this summer 🙂.

This is so much better than Google Photos & Google Drive because: 1. Backups to cloud are FREE; 2. After it asks which folders to auto-backup, you specifically pick which files to backup, when necessary; 3. Compatible across ALL devices/platforms- Android, Apple, SmartTV, etc. Family, & friends no longer need to all get Google accounts to share/edit/use these files to create memories. Amazon is as always compatible on all devices & platforms!

My cell phone is old. Getting a new one soon. Sometimes the resolution stinks but our grandbaby is still perfect. The pictures are nice getting them so fast and easy. Great prices. Must mention 2 photos damaged by water. Envelope got wet. Amazon never responded to me or resent me new ones. I wasn't happy with that. I had to reorder and pay again. Not thrilled. Ive purchased 4 canvas pictures they are great quality. Price average.

Love that amazon prime members get unlimited photo storage. As the designated family photographer I like that I don't need to limit how many photos I can save. I created a family album and sent links to the entire family so they can all stay connected and have access to pictures. My only gripe is that the albums are organized with newest at the bottom, I wish there was a sort option to have newest at the top.
