Prince of Persia : Escape

Godd to see Pop on droid, but there is not enough of a forward view to allow for planning, so it's all about reactions with unexplained controls on a slippery surface. By Level 9 the sense of accomplishment - for me - was overtaken by frustration with the right-now focus and the knowledge that the game could be so much better. Sure, its not a PC environment, but still.

Great gameplay but please remove or rework the annoying "Revive", "Skip Level" or "Watch Ad" prompts! I understand we all want more cash but there has to be a way to have smooth gameplay after paying to remove ads. These prompts appear after you die in the game and you want to restart as soon as possible, but the game inserts an extra step and even delays the "No Thanks" option! To clarify, I don't ever want to skip the level or revive the character, it goes against my style of play.

This game spits in the face of Jordan Mechner's original. It may have nice graphics and animations, but the controls are garbage, there is no combat, there is no story, no puzzles, no sense of progression. You die too easily due to bad controls, the game was not playtested by people. I was stuck for far too long on level 16. Reloading a level adds even more frustration because it takes too long. video ads are not removed after purchasing remove ads.

Ads too frequent, you can't enjoy playing, thats why I am uninstalling the game. Controls well responsive, graphics good, levels are basic and short, not like the original one, but hey, at least it's something. When ads are not so frequent and game has been improved, maybe I will play again, but for now, sorry, its a No for me!

I love the game. It did indeed help me to relive the classic, with a beautiful modern touch and right in my pocket. However, the Ads are incredibly annoying and too much. Shortly after, I started losing interest in the game entirely. Especially that I paid for it. It is just TOO MUCH! No game annoyed me as much as this one did. I took off two stars just because of the ads. Ya, that annoying. I couldn't see a difference between paid and unpaid versions!!

how many levels has this game? I'm on more than 💯 level and the game looks like without end! simply controls, with few options but it's ok. Hard levels and some of them very easy, it's a nice mix but in my opinion, I think this game will have more challenges. Graphics are awesome, but should have more blood!!! (or at least more dramatic ways to die) Anyway it's a good job 👍

It's ok. Visually similar to the original pc game, but lacks actions like sneak, and "down" so, it not possible to step slowly past blades as you could in the original. Also, many annoying ads that you must watch to earn lives. I've done the first handful of levels, and it is getting harder. I'm not stuck yet, but I'm not sure it will keep my interest to keep playing.

Art style could have been as passable homage to the original but the animation has no personality. The gameplay is bland, too. There's no challenge. There are no interesting platforming segments, the jumping is so loose you basically can't die, and even things like spiked gates pose no challenge at all, as due to the auto-run nature of the game you always pass through them when the spikes open. Platforms that drop after you walk on them are pointless for the same reason. Constant ad banner at the bottom, too. Ads seem to play after every other level, and are longer than the levels. Goodnight, sweet prince.

The game itself is great and fun. The biggest problem with this app are the ads. Lengthy and frequent. You get an ad bar at the bottom of the screen, you also get video ads that are 30 sec long and show up almost all the time between levels and whenever you lose and after that ad you get a chance to revive by watching another 30 sec ad. Upsetting thing is that when I bought to remove ads package for $2.99, it only removed the bottom ad bar that returned the next time I turned on the game.

Okay I just read the other reviews. There's no end and apparently Level 13 is a damn glitch where the Prince dies for absolutely no reason at all. PLEASE fix this. And maybe even give us the end we want. :( The controls are really linear, wish the sneak and other controls were present like in the original. It's a great concept but, it feels lacking. The jumps can be really difficult (3 spikes and the last pixel jump), but it feels really satisfying. Just so disappointed by the bug and no end :(

Here's how to disable ads: put your phone in airplane mode BEFORE starting the game, then start it and you'll have zero ad. You won't have any potion available, just restart when you fail but it's the only option to have no ads at all. Regarding the game, it's really well made at first, I enjoyed playing but it gets really repetitive after a while. What they do for each level is just repeat sequences of the game but in different order so it seems different but it's the same.

The game is decent and will keep you coming back for more. But one huge problem that a lot of people have is on level 13. There is some strange bug where your avatar dies for no reason. Idk if its been fixed but i do have a solution. Keep playing the level untill you get an option to skip the level by watching an ad. Sorry but thst seems like the only way. Hope this comment helps clear things up. 😁

This game is ok?! I like the idea of it. It needs ALOT OF WORK! Please fix I really do enjoy playing this game First of all the controls are horrible. When you hold to jump, especially when you are climbing walls, bigger gaps, most times it doesn't work. Really need to fix controls for the game to be playable. Second the game lags, and then get stuck or fall and die. Third, when I do die and I wanted to be revived, watch a video, then all sudden instead of going in game where u should be revived, it goes back to screen where it says.. restart game. So watched video to get revived for nothing. The pros of game and what I liked, are that you can get revived, and skip level if want to! I love this about game! Maybe one suggestion is that for people that play every day, get a daily bonus. Just a sugestion.

This is a good game. It's quite repetitive though, as the same sequences repeat over and over. What is really annoying though are the ads. Don't pay to remove them, it's a scam! Nothing happened. I contacted support and was told the "restore purchases" button would fix it. When I reported back, saying it didn't, I got ignored.

I downloaded this because I loved the original Prince of Persia game. I love the look of this game and how it plays. Kept the original traps/obstacle and movement of the prince but despite the blurb for this game suggesting otherwise, theres no puzzles to solve. Im on level 20 and it's just a left to right platform game. I'd to be able to explore and figure out more puzzles with the switches.

I love the game but there is a huge problem. I think there is a bug in level 13. At the start I attempt to go down that stairway and there are spikes, well on the last bit where I get to the ground my character will scream and fall until he hits the floor and dies. This bug has made it impossible to progress and if you could fox it asap that would be cool!

The latest update effectively broke the gameplay. The character is now sluggish and responds poorly, it feels like it's floating, and the jump distance may or may not be correct, depends on your luck. They removed the constant speed and added an acceleration from 0 at every movement break, which means quick jump obstacles have become ridiculously bad design. The current version of the game is almost broken. Oh and they made sure to pester you harder to watch ads, for extra spice.

I played till level 55. the game is addictive and u have a constant interest in clearing the level but after a few levels it becomes a mindless running and jumping. the challenges remain similar and graphics as well. not much difference between level 4 or 14 or 42 its all similar. i also missed out any recognition after achieving a certain level. the powers and contrals have no versatility. its only running and jumping.

Memories! Memories! I absolutely love this app. The feel is modern but still has the classic retro touch to it. I also love how you have the option of skipping a level if it gets to hard by watching an ad! Its easy to get credits in the game so you dont stress about that in the game and enjoy just playing the app instead and that my fav part of the app! 5 stars

Level design is good but the character's range of movement should reflect the rotoscoped quality that the original game had! Sliding when turning around fast, a transition from standing still to running, the ability to walk not run, taking one step, turning around, looking up, crouching, crawling down a ledge, all these immersive things are missing from this game and since it looks so similar I can't help but compare this game to the original!

Love reliving everything I loved about this game when I was younger - spikes, climbing up ledges, dodging the chomping teeth! Running and jumping is great but would be good to be able to do other stuff and have other obstacles. Levels get a bit samey after a while and something more than costumes to spend gems on would be nice. Most annoyingly, if you tap to watch an ad to revive or skip level, it doesn't always work so you watch the ad and end up having to restart anyway. Pretty frustrating...

It's pretty fun, I love it and would definitely amuse you if you are waiting for something outside mostly but even though I havent been going it lately because of covid if not at all. I was playing it in my home when i could have been doing other stuffs and for the people complaining about the difficulty spiking up with crazy jumps at level 60 and more, in my opinion atleast the game isnt just a copy and pasted levels like many cheap games are. There definitely are some repetative copy and pasted patterns but. You dont notice them too often. I think they have patterns and mix them up ending up with new levels which is pretty smart ngl. It would have definitely been better if they were to introduce new mechanics say for example grabbing a rope or shooting maybe idk the creativity is up to them. A new mechanic every 30 or 60 levels would have been enough for us to really enjoy the game and keep us engaged and effortless for them. I would say super mario run is definitely better but this game is for free so it's great for the content it provides :)

Its horrible if you die or complete the levels there's always an ad comes up and it won't allow you to hit the back button you have to watch an ad for 40 seconds completely messed up. I thought it was soposed to be relaxing not some dumb ad that shows up every minute. And now there's always and ad that shows up on my phone every single minute don't play this game so horrible.

If it was a PoP, then you could walk in those spikes. The platforming seems ok, except one little platform. That you HAVE TO JUMP. Which is unnecessary. It would be nice if you can just climb over to the next platform. Not stopping every little platform. Also he can jump, run ledges, climb acrobatics effortlessly. Except the little platform stopping you. The level design is more like a marathon rather than PoP. Occasionally you use the left button, but it is not used very often. 5.8/10 OK

The goods: this game is addictive The bads: the ads are in your face all the time, some levels (e.g. 67) have bugs in them on Android so as to be unbeatable, and then the controls sometimes malfunction (especially when trying to jump over spikes). The number of levels is unclear and, other than changes in the number, there is a lack of direction. Also, most elements in levels start getting repetitive. Overall an annoying experience. I had to delete the game in order to beat my addiction to it.

absolute rubbish. yes you have to make the game difficult but you make levels impossible to do. the character cant jump beyond a certain length and people will click to watch video to try and do it which will give us frustration and give you money. pathetic game. one level after 60 , you have to fall through the cutter and you cant basically go through it. Time wasting. deleted
