DO NOT UPDATE YOUR APP: new version 13.4.1 and prior version 13.4.0 will NOT print pictures or screenshots in portrait orientation -- even if specify portrait and specify 8x10 on 8.5x11 paper. pictures and screenshots will print in landscape and will be compressed. you have to convert to pdf to print correctly using new version. i have instead installed apk of previous version 13.3.2 and disabled auto-update in Google Play to stay away from new updates of app. ALSO SWITCHING TO PRINTERSHARE APP.

Usually works really well for me. However just recently all I get are blank pages! Can't find a fix. Going to switch apps if I can't print!!! I will upgrade my stars if you have a fix for me.

An app that was great is now pathetic. Listed as a free app but now they want to charge you & doesn't give you enough enough info to make a decision, just 2 options $8.99 annually or $17.99 one time.... what do you mean? I get to use it one time for $17.99 or a one time fee of $17.99 for unlimited use? Forget it, I will find a better managed app than this joke

I've been using this app for nearly 6 years. Mostly satisfied, though it often does completely lose all of its settings. I recently bought a new device, and suddenly the app requires you to pay for it?!?

1. I downloaded the app several months ago for free and it seemed to work well on various tablets but then it stopped working and indicated that the license needed to be renewed. When I tried to renew the license, I kept getting the same message (many times), so I uninstalled the app and then tried to re-install it but kept getting the message "There was an error while downloading Hammer Print. Please try again." Then I learned that, without notice to me, the policy for the app has changed. Still, I wouldn't mind paying $4.99 for it or the premium version, but I have been unable to do so. Altograf LLC should either make it work or take it off the market--not great for its reputation or that of Hammermill, whose paper I intend to avoid buying in the future even though there is some in my printer now.

[Update: I turned off my cellphone. Turn on my hotspot. Refreshed the printer's wifi connection. Then reentered my password. It works.] Pretty reliable. Except that sometimes it prints, and sometimes it does not. Actually, it was in the middle of printing until a popup window asked me to rate this app. When I agreed, the printing stopped in the middle of a page. I refreshed the printer a few times, but it still will not print using this app. Any advice on how to get the printer to work, again?

This is an amazing app. Found my wireless Canon printer immediately. Setup was a breeze. I love being able to print files or Web pages from my Motorola Moto G6 phone. This app has been more reliable than a direct cable connection from my laptop to my printer. Not sure why the app requires certain permissions (e.g., access to my contacts), but it does what it is designed to do very well.

Junk! I had this app and it work free for years. I had uninstalled it and reinstalled it and now it wants me to upgrade to premium paid version. I did a "test" page just messing around in my frustration and it printed a page in solid black ink. The entire page! Used a third of my black ink in one page! Do yourself a favor, stay clear of these guys.

It's dishonest IMO when an app is listed as "free" on the Play Store, but is not. I don't mind in-app purchases, but this one won't do anything until you pay them. It will print out a "test sheet" so you know your printer is recognized, then wants $$$ for even one additional print. The small amount of printing I do isn't worth the cost. Why not allow small users like myself to use a "basic" low volume version of the app? Uninstalling.

App has been free for years and now has been renamed, so possibly bought by a new company. It made me think it was a software issue when trying to print and troubleshooting steps stated to fix it the issue I needed to reinstall. Once I reinstalled it's now telling me to print anything other than a test page I need to pay to upgrade. It could have displayed a banner explaining the real reason I needed to install, which is so they can now charge a fee. I didn't appreciate so I'm uninstalling app.

I was having some issues with the native print app on my phone and two tablets connecting to our Canon 920 series printer. Did some research, downloaded this Hammer app to my phone and tablets and for the past year and a half have had no issues whatsoever printing from any of the devices, including all forms of Word, Excel, documents, sheetmusic or diagrams. I cannot comment on photos as I haven't used the printer for that function. Great app and highly recommended.

Back when it was Hammermill it was awesome. Took ages to print anything more than a page but it wprked and was convenient. About a year ago they changed it completely and it literally doesnt do a damn thing. Cant connect any printer. anywhere. ever. Not at all user friendly anymore. If they change it back to how it was ill gladly reinstall and leave a glowing review but as it is now its garbage.

Would rate this zero stars if possible. When I installed it, it was an amazing app for the occasional print that I needed to do from my phone (as most items I print through my computer). Switched phones recently and it autoupdated to a version where I have to pay to print anything? So rather than wasting my money, I installed the FREE HP app instead (which works great and has lots of neat features) and am deleting this one as quickly as I can.

After years of using this app, over the course of several phones, it is still the best! Just like Hammermill paper. It's well worth it to pay because I haven't found any other app that works as consistently with other apps on my device. And it uploads to my 2 cloud storage! It's got a few connection hiccups sometimes, but I think it's more my WI-FI setup and finicky authentication on 3rd party apps, than this printer app. In case it helps anyone else, my printer is an Epson XP-440.

FRAUDULENT ADVERTISING. States it is free, but once you download, it requires you to upgrade to the "premium" (paid) version. EDIT: Good that description has been updated. When searching for free printing apps however, this is still one of the first one that appears. Downloaded an app for my printer, and print easily through Bluetooth now.

After trying out several other printing apps I know this is by far the best. It is very powerful but easy. You can print many types of files. You can print files from your local drive, from the cloud, web sites, etc. The file selection is straightforward. Customer service is very responsive. This is my go-to app for any printing job.

Friends, this application will supports most printers you can print from using any type connection you have to pair with the printers. It's absolutely free. It works well with celphones, tablets, laptops, PCs, whatever you got! I strongly recommend Hammer Print for personal or business use. It doesn't leave a watermark in your printouts due to not being a registered user and it is not crippled in any way! Hammer Print is the way to connect to any printer. Enjoy!

Worked great in the past, Now Crashes. I have used this app for years with good results. Now I can't get my tablet to print at all from the calendar without crashing. It crashes every time. I bought the premium version and it still crashes. So frustrating.

I had a chance to try a free version on another device and the app works great. What im disappointed in is after purchasing the premium version for my new tablet i wasnt given any email confirmation of the purchase or any information on activating it, and i still cant print. ive googled for a supportphone number or email, and ive been unsuccessful in finding either. So i basically have an app i cant use. I even bit the bullet and paid for a second one and it had me install another app called print hand, AND IT STILL DOESNT WORK.

I used this app once, and it did exactly what I needed. unfortunately the app didn't require money and I don't like using my credit card on line, the option (& I am pretty sure this is unusual) to use commercials would be appreciated. I actually don't need to use this option as often as others, and to watch a commercial to print would make it something I could get on board with. I'm pretty sure this will never happen, but thanks for listening.

Same experience as last poster. Was a great app when Hammermill owned it but last update the name and owner changed. I read not to uninstall if you have the older version but it wouldn't recognize my printer so I couldn't print. It said uninstalling and reinstalling should fix the problem. Like the last poster, it printed the test page but wouldn't print anything else without paying for an upgrade. It didn't even tell me how much the upgrade is. I'm uninstalling.

Loved the app, always reliable, but this fee you now have put on it, it's crazy. You dont say if you get charged a one time fee to download, or do you charge a monthly fee, or is that $4 fee charged everytime you print. You should state, that there is a fee to use this when you get into the app, and before you considering downloading it. For now will miss using your app. I'm not going to pay $5 everytime I want to print something, that's what it says in your description, $4.99 per item to print.

when i switched phones and re-downloaded it, the app was forcing me to upgrade to premium otherwise i could not print. i am going to pay, due to. google cloud print part of the app worked about 25% of the time. and Brother app, works slightly better on cloud printing end and its Free. i have recommend all clients and staff to delete and use other apps. the service vs. payment on this app is not worth it in my humble opinion.

After having trouble with printing from Android device, this app works flawlessly, no setup needed. Really happy thanks. *Update* there is a fine blank line in the middle of the page where it lacks ink, this is not due to a dirty cartridge, it only happens when using this app. 😟

Used to work well, now there is a message saying I have to pay for upgrade to print. What good is a printing app that doesn’t print?

Used to be the best free print app in the play store. Now requires upgrade to premium to print anything other than a test page. "Used to be sponsored" is the excuse. In reality they mean this app is no longer PAID by Hammermill making this now no different than any other 3rd party print app. Do yourself a favor and just download the print plugin by your printer provider. It's still free and works with the inherent print button on your device. P.S. don't get mad bc you're greedy afto. VVV

The original download was great but this upgrade is SPECTACULAR and well worth the $4 and some change. i'm able to print from my Cell, tablet and laptop with no issues at all. initially I had to save my email with the passcode because for a few days I had to use it each time. Now, it's registered and all is good. No password needed.

One of the best printing apps i've ever tried. Did exactly as it said and it was FREE. However, had to uninstall due to issues with my printer. Fast forword a few months and time to re-install app to my new printer. Well,imagine my surprise when i had to pay to print,whereas before twas free. Since i seldom print,it was not worth my while to pay for the app.So,uninstalled from phone and tablet.Best app ever if willing to pay for it.
