Repetitive Ad Machine. At first it was interesting and fun, but it very quickly got repetitive. You're not really doing anything different, just adding more cells and prisoners, and building more support buildings of what you already have. Then you start researching new buildings to build, only to realize they are just for looks. Most of the new buildings have no function. What really ruined it for me is the ads. Any mistake you make, you watch an ad. Want to remove ads? $9. Ridiculous.

Lol, I can't believe some of the complaints in these reviews... yes, the lasers will kill your prisoners and yes you need to time them well... that's kind of the whole point!... smh... This game scratches that management itch while also giving you a change of pace with the laser mechanic. All in all a job well done but the game does start to get a little repetitive after awhile. Needs a bit more to keep me interested.

I've been playing this game for quite some time now, and I can honestly say... That at the start of the game, progress will be super slow, UNLESS you get really good at timing! I suggest that when you start earning lots of income, invest in laser speed BECAUSE you'll easily be able to buy more lasers later! Also, you will probably want to rage quit ALOT because the way the inmates are contained is RIDICULOUSLY HARD (sometimes), and requires a serious amount of precise calculations!

Its overall a very nice hop on once or twice a day kinda game! I will say. I dont like that there isnt a move option for buildings. I like everything to be neat and proper, and because I wasn't sure the best way to make the shapes of cells it was trial and error. Now, im very upset because my prison has random spaces and I cant move my buildings around to cover the holes! Please, add this mechanic! If you do, I will gladly change my review to 5 stars!!!

This game is an amazing money management game, however I do have one problem. Whenever you go on lockdown and watch an ad to retry, sometimes the bot that shoots lasers will go to the bottem of the screen, stay there and I will have to close out of the app every time. This is a quite common problem I have. If you guys fix it, it's an easy five stars.

So I like the game, but the lockdown mechanic bugs me. Shouldn't the goal be to separate each prisoner into their own area? This method encourages putting all your prisoners into one tight space, which seems like the last thing you want. it just looks wrong when you have large areas of the cell block empty as wasted space.

This game is a blast once you know what you're doing and the developers are incredibly helpful if you run into any problems. I see some people complaining about the power buildings being too costly, so I just want to throw this out there to hopefully help some people out: *make small cells; do not make large cells*. large cells cost massive amounts of power and in general you'll be using a lot more lasers per prisoner as well as less prisoners per square the cells take up. there are also features being added all the time (and bugs get fixed extremely quickly) and every update makes the game better. Highly recommend.

This game has a lot of potential. A couple things could be changed or maybe just added. Like maybe add a research down the line that allows you to pick up unnecessary lasers, and possibly some kind of riot/break out mechanic and guards or turrets, and maybe even a research for an administrator office that paroles inmates who have been in too long and puts new ones in the holding cells, or something. Other then that this is a great and unique gaming experience that i hope to see grow even more.

Fun game. Simple mechanics to start but can become as challenging as you want if you want to really optimize. Been playing for weeks, have all but 1 achievement unlocked and did it all without having to pay 1 cent. The premium options do allow for faster progress and unlock cool decorative buildings though.

Love the gameplay of building cells, needs a little more more of a tutorial for other things, like building at least your first vault instead of just a life support system. Maybe add a slight build timer for things too other then researching. Anyways my main point to this rating, is this is a great puzzle/builder/progressional game as it stands now. 5 star for inventive thinking for a prison builder. Unique but in a nostalgic way. I have never played a game like this, unless you combined a few.

Honestly the game has potential but I think some improvements can be made. First of all giving inmate more background such as age personality ect. Secondly I think they're should be a deathrow section (as well as a choice method of execution) as well as a sandbox that allows you to edit prisoners, it would also be a good idea to give pensioners food sleep and items for it to be more realistic. But I like the concept.

Great game with a neat premise. My only gripe is the Xon-like Lockdown minigame you try to contain your prisoners with. In my experience, the prisoners barely clump together enough to easily clear parts of a cell, and I almost always have to resort to sacrificing a few of them or mashing the randomize button for 10+ minutes at a time, praying for RNG to arrange the NPCs in an advantageous position. It almost feels like they try to hug the Restraining Drone at times, which can be very infuriating

It's really a great game! Loved it the first day I played. It was the way lockdown works however. I like the idea! But it frustrates me that there can't be other ways to just automatically or manually put them in cells. Otherwise, great game! They minimize the ads a lot! 5/5

A lot of the people who left reviews clearly never played Qix! I love the modern take on a classic arcade game. Really breathes new life into the concept of Qix, while adding a pretty decent prison builder into the mix.

Good casual fun, looking forwards to unlocking more through the research option. Quite enjoying it so far. I downloaded Tiny Dice and played it, but Prison Planet still won't unlock the linked account/free prisoner option. Demolish button is very easy to hit when zooming in or out on your prison.

I feel like I've played the main game in this as a mini game in something about 20 years old... it's not a very fun or interesting minigame. That game was ok but ultimately not that interesting. To build a whole game around dividing a grid with lazers was never going to be interesting. Held my attention for all of about 10 mins. Even with play pass unlocking things you get locked into lots of waiting for "research"... really boring but even without that it would suck

Wow this game surprised me on how fun it is! you are always making some progress and it is fair for the most parts. I would end it there but there is a mega propleme in it :( It is mega unstable. It does not crash mid game but if i leave the game ( go to the home screen and do something else) thene it will get wierd! One time it made go throug the tutorial in glitx mode i, had to start all over agian cuse i lost all save data!! also my fone frose and restarted after i tryd to open it pls fix gg

The game is fun, although I have a few qualms with the game play. The research gets a bit long I have 9 research buildings and have 5+hrs research times. The lock down is fun and challenging but I'm left with area's that are empty and the size of the cell determines the lazers useage you could use smaller ones but same issue. Could we have actuall cells were we can secure prisoners but use lazers as cell doors? further updates could we have different lazer types or cells even? Love the game!

Very nice game, i realy enjoyed it but it could be way cooler by satisfying their needs like ( hobbies or games or something) and maybe them tryng to escape or fight. And last thing the lockup thing its more like a minigame so it should be optional bc sometimes u just want to put more people in a room or just make ur prison more estetic( beatiful) :)) but overall very cool game, nothing bad to say about this game. Also if u could move buildings( without destroyng them) would be a lot easier.

It's alright. I like the core gameplay, but other than that it's just waiting without anything to do. If it was intended to be something like an idle game the feeling of getting paid isn't there. The only difference between prisoners is their speed and nothing else really happens. I'm giving 3 stars for the space prison idea.

Sha. M. Jan 12, 2021

Got this on Play Pass, which exposes how little actual "game" there is here. Basically boils down to waiting for stuff, and the occasional super simple puzzle. Not even that well presented, so not worth the time when there are better alternatives.

The game is extremely fun, only one problem. The downtime is a little much. However, this game is great, and not having a secondary currency (like gems) that are basically a paywall for most games is just a breath of fresh air. This game is great, especially seeing the rest of this garbage market. Great game :D

The game is great, but there is one huge problem. The energy requirment is EXTREMLY high i cant do anything thing with out the energry requirment going of the charts. This is a huge problem as one energy is over 10million money. please lower the cost greatly or lower the energy requirment EXTREMLY! will be deleting the game.😞 (im talking about my account on another device)

At first I thought this game had so much potential with the amount of races and aliens in this game but it takes a mechanic that should be easy and makes it into something that's too frustrating to actually play, I loose more prisoners than I actually get and im lucky even if I break even because as soon as your try separating the cells its as if the prisoners deliberately walk to towards the lasers and kill them selves why can't you have pre make the cells and then drag and drop them?

Lun. O. Sep 20, 2021

Honestly, I quite enjoyed this game. Very fun, very funny, cute graphics and kind of a unique idea for a game. My only issue was the mini game because it's kind of weird that whatever prison you make ends with like 70% of the cell inaccessible even to them and the laser thing was kinda hard. Good game tho!

Gal. _. Jun 6, 2020

This is a good game it just has a few faults... for example holding cells just don't make sense, you can move prisoners into them but not back out? This game is fun and you should try it and hopefully the creators can fix the few issues.

Mem. L. Feb 22, 2021

It's very fun but one huge problem I have with it is when I use the lasers for the prison lockdown it keeps on glitching and when it glitches and makes it basically impossible for me to put the laser down because it goes through the walls and also when i reset it makes it so my laser bot goes inside the walls and I can't move it at all

Sco. D. Oct 23, 2019

It has potential for sure. There needs to be a demolish feature or a way to overlap the structures so they don't create so many individual cell blocks - finger swiping the build areas takes some getting used to on a mobile device.

So far my experience with prison planet have been pretty amazing I've been enjoying the game very most but I do think that the game should start a little more easier for people who aren't used to playing this type of game. Other wise I think the game is great I love art work and the music . Plz continue to update this game . 5/5 stars

I really love 8-bit games like this there is a game that I used to play as a kid called fill in that uses the same basic strategy you've got little what looks like birds flying on the screen and you have to put lines on the screen to fill in the screen as much as you can and this game fulfills that need for me to play that game because there's no other version of that game anymore it was literally a computer only game that I played on the old green and black computers I love it this
