Privacy Messenger - Private SMS messages, Call app

This app used to be really good. Perfect features for my needs. Not sure what happened. Freezes. Won't allow you to back up texts. Sometimes I don't receive texts. Two of the absolute worst things are: 1. I pay for it and 2. There is ZERO support/communication when I email them. I really wish and will continue to search for a better alternative with the same features.... That actually work.

Honestly was a great app. Functioned well. Then when i wanted to share my pictures all the awfulness sprang forward. For one it wont allow me to save my own pictures to my gallery. And dont try to screenshot because it wont allow.Backup and restore doesnt work. Keeps saying backup failed. I have a onedrive account but it doesnt allow backup to that. So all my important text will eventually be loss. If you dont want to do any of that its a good app. But if otherwise dont waste your time or money.

I can't even open the app now. App still freezes up the phone when a message comes in and that is infuriating. Today, my app keeps giving me a message notification but when I click on it, the app won't open. I pay for this app on monthly basis. I'm so angry right now.

Froze on me and deleted all message threads Upgraded 4 times in one month because the app kept downgrading itself after purchase. Purchase only last a week. Very bad build.

WELL, I CAME BACK AFTER USING "COLOR MESSENGER " FOR 2 OR MORE YRS, BECAUSE I COULDN'T GET MMS OR PIX ON HERE. I LOVED COLOR MESSENGER. EXCEPT, I COULDN'T GET THE MEETING AND DRIVING AUTO RESPONSE SETTING ON THERE. SO, I CAME BACK. SSDD! STILL CANT GETT MMS! COMBINE THE 2, THAT'LL FIX EVERYTHING ! JUST LET ME KNOW WHAT IT'S CALLED! I LOVE THIS APP!😉 YOU CAN SEND PIX, VIDEOS, GIFS, STICKERS, ETC.

Good app, save for freezing at times. Maybe it's my phone which is running Android 4.4.2. Overally it's one of the best.

Used this for two years. Didn't know you can't move SMS/MMS back to your regular SMS app when I recently switched phones. backup/restore doesn't work. Use with the understanding that your SMS texts are locked to the phone, and backup/restore probably won't work in case of phone failure. Developer doesn't respond to emails.

Since the update i can't save photos sent by friends and most times my messages don't go through now. Please fix i use to enjoy this app ads and all but now im about to delete it.

While it works for the purpose designed, all my messages I've received on it will not backup to either of my backup folders.

The last update messed it all up. I have been using this app for years with no problems until now. I can't even type a text out to send. No buttons work.

Screen darkens .can not bring it up to txt.Have to hit 4to5 times before I can txt .Since update does not work at all. Can not push buttons to text or even get in at times .Have to get out and in ,just a mess .Like my private txt do not like to go to fb txt. why is this happen ? Do I need to delete and than addit back to phone ? Can you fix it from your side what is it I need to do This is aweful .used this for years now this mess .please straight out this app.Thank you .

Easy to use and very convenient. I am suggesting that in your next update try to add a send later (schedule message) feature. Otherwise this app is tremendously useful.

There is a delay when I open it of about a minute every time and when I try to backup to Google drive or Dropbox I get a failed error message. Plus there is no support number. Save you money folks

It has great features that my regular messenges doesnt have so at first I really liked it. However, I accidently made one of my contacts messages "private" so when i go to text them back it asks me for a number password that i never created. I tried the code i use to unlock my phone but it says its not right. Im going to have to uninstall the whole thing just so i can text this person back! Its a shame because other than that i would have kept it and given a 5 star rating.

I loved this app until last week. I'm not getting notifications, the app keeps force closing, and I have to open and reopen the app at a minimum of 5 times to use it. Please fix!!!

Great app and easy to use. 8/23/20- still working great. 5/7/22- this app is continuing to provide great service.

I think I like this app, but I can't seem to figure out why previous group messages are being sent individually such that I get an error downloading MMS messages. If I can get that rectified, I'll be golden.

This app works fairly well. There is something strange that happens in group messages between Android and iPhone users, where responses are split and not in the group conversation. Recently upgraded to a new phone and lost thousands of recent text messages, when I emailed support I got nothing back. I tried their backup and restore nothing works. Lost some very important messages. Their website adds no value, asks for email address but never goes anywhere. No phone number for support. Seems you are on your own if you have issues.

System stopped working, I've sent several requests as feedback with no response. I can't open my private boxes, I have to access through them backdoor per se. What happened!!??

Don't bother downloading....This app has worked for years and now freezes the phone completely when I try to even look at a message. I have to uninstall it now and I'm sad

App freezes everytime. You can only send one picture at a time. Everytime u pat for pro the money got refunded not sure why. Will change if they update it

The new update destroyed the app. Before the update this was the best sms app I've used. Now it freezes everytime I open it.

This app is getting hanging issue every time when I open the app. My phone getting completely lock due to this app. So please fix it.....

I had to delete 400 texts that we're Spam this morning. This app moved in and took away everything that didn't belong to me.

The only thing I would suggest to make it better would be if there was a dark theme option instead of bright as daylight white! Especially since this is a "privately claimed" messaging app. It's weird that it allows you to keep it contents private, however if anyone is anywhere in your space they can, very easily and without any effort of their own, be openly allowed to pry into your personal life! Just something to think on... But otherwise, I'm enjoying the app very much!

Good, but not as smooth as original app. Anyone know where the pics and vids are saved to? I cannot find the file and the Open Directory tab does nothing.

It was great with a Pixel Google phone but its not the best with a Samsung Galaxy phone. I hope they can change that or fix it in the future.

After changing my phone I am not recognized as pro user. I raised this concern to the developer but no useful feedback or even effort to fix. I do not recommend this app. Lousy support.

Ughhhhh. I can receive and send text messages but i can't receive a picture message or group message.. I can't believe I paid for this mess!!! Please fix this immediately
