Years ago i used this app, the pro version, and it did identify a back- door andro rat. At the time i was very impressed. Its reassuring to me the way the permissions are done with this app. Its trustworthy. It notifies but then restart the scan, potentially losing info. And to have to reinstall after update, or to regularly re-install at all is certainly, a drawback. I like the app I am just curious how current the app is with all its services.
Privacy scanner pro hasn't caught anything yet. It's just a gut feeling. I get weird bursts of notice chimes without new notice message. I just might be paranoid but the app hangs for about 30 seconds at about 99% with a message/notice telling me 'The scanner is still scanning. Please wait until the scan has been completed' at least 4 times. i also keep getting 'Privacy Scanner Pro stop working' notices. Ever since that 50,000,000 FB accounts were hacked.
This is a great app it can't be removed even though some systems on my Samsung phone tried to remove it it even said that it was uninstalled but it was still installed and it searched out at they go for settings that they're not supposed to without permission another words turn your mic camera video record without your knowledge or permission change app settings when you change them some apps changing right back
Do NOT download!! The regular one worked on my phone and I liked it so I purchased the Pro. BIG MISTAKE!!! It won't even open on my phone. I have emailed the maker and sent log reports and screenshots of what it's doing SMS have not gotten a response at all. DO NOT RECOMMEND
It was good, but it stopped working after the December Security Patch update. Ironically the free version works perfectly!?! Pixel XL.
The free version works fine but this pro version keeps on ceashing and crashing. Edit:: after the update , it is improved
It crashes and has not opened once since buying the pro version. Very disappointing.
does not block any camera and tells you things free apps can do. the other 2 apps you need to download are obsolete. getting a refund a.s.a.p..
Ap is vague and in a number of cases INCORRECT. It makes comments but IMPOSSIBLE to see what they are talking about and unable to look up.
Crashes constantly on Android 8
Good app with no trackers and no internet permission
this company does not return emails and has double charged me
Nothing useful to bmw
I went to run a scan yesterday and it crashes upon opening. I tried it today and same thing. I uninstalled it and then reinstalled but, it still won't work. Other wise its a 5 star.
The detection ability is awesome! Also can be set not to run in background so you don't eat up your battery so you scan when you want to. No special permissions requested by this app.
Great app. Does what it says it does. No permissions needed, and no ads.
You have to install SpyBlock and CameraBlock which are separate apps. You would know that if you read the description provided. This is a excellent app and works perfectly.
Good at its job.
I'm refunding and uninstalling as to avoid future issues. Just downloaded, began setting pro version as an experienced & satisfied free version user. From the beginning, I could not run anything because license message. (galaxy s5 sm-g900p: rooted: lollipop oa6 build: moar rom vers. 7). Please fix & I'll upgrade immediately and give it the 5 stars I know it deserves.
Has mind of it own, one minute there is no camera - maybe I am using it then camera is block, keeps repeating this, wouldn't mind I but I paid for this full app.
I absolutely love that it has no permissions lol, and of course, what it checks for.
All the app does is trigger based on the notifications. It "detects" NOTHING.
The app keeps signalling non-existent threats; and the developer has failed to respond to my request for clarification/assistance. So poor show on the customer service front
So I had to refund it.
CPU use is too much of a battery drain. Having to uninstall for now.
I like this app. There is one major issue. A scan revealed that I am vulnerable because I have enabled installation from unknown sources. The option to change that setting is given, but the apps listed are checked as "not allowed." Perplexing! The app with this unauthorized special permission is never identified, which makes a change impossible. I even added the specific app to the ignore list in hopes of identification. This was ineffective. Frustration runs amok. Please advise.
