Despute being about pro football, it feels a lot more simple (and easier) than its college football counterpart. It's extremely easy to keep dynasties going, the "Team preferences" really don't do anything substantial, the draft feels really useless, the menus aren't as refined. It makes it difficult to oversee large moves- not that you even have to, the game is still not that difficult either way.
It's minimal but entertaining. Seasons can last less than ten minutes so it's not boring and it's a great time waster. IMO though, some things could be added/edited, like: - adding the TE role (instead of 2 RBs, maybe) - enhancing the CPU by making them choose tactics for each game - adding stats for defensive players - adding the possibility to choose between different packages both on offense and defense - balancing the trade block a little (asking for a QB/S in exchange for a K, really?)
This is an amazing app. But the thing that would make it evan better is more in depth stats like passer rating, completions/attempts, tackles, forced fumbles, and interceptions. Also stats from every season saved on the player card. And one last thing it would be helpful to see players you could draft while in the season.
Very enjoyable sim. One of the best I've played. Love how in-depth the stats are Main problem is how player centric it is. Played over 800 years and only have about 12 losing seasons at most. Even when I have a bad QB they're able to put up great numbers. Also wish the game could get updated but ah well, gonna try the other ones. Thanks for the experience :)
I have been stuck playing this game for weeks. It's fun simulating seasons and building up a dynasty, just like in Madden. My only complaints is that you can't see stats for you defensive players (sacks, INTS) and also it would be nice to have a player career stats page, where you can see the season stats for the players career. Other than that, this game is addicting. Will continue to play. Highly recommend for Madden franchise junkies.
The game is definitely fun, but there is an issue. Not a bug or anything, but I wish there was more variety. I wish you could switch teams, or make your own custom team. It would be so much more fun if they did the first option, but the latter is still a decent idea. Would like to see the ability for you or other coaches to be fired for not meeting objectives. Introduction to objectives could make the game have purpose, and seeing these changes could make this a really fun, and challenging game
I have both the college and pro of the games. College menu and game play is wayyy better but I like the pro a little bit. Easier to get your favorite teams on pro by downloading roster off Reddit ( please don't change it). If you could make the system closer to the college version ( draft, menu in game; such as seeing my playbook, injury report, cap room) would make it so much better. Still fun to play if college version gets boring). Also the trade system is awesome
I love this game! I've been playing it a month now and just realized I never wrote a review. It is a simplified version of Madden's franchise mode where you control every decision your team makes except actually hiring your coaching staff. The only flaw is no draft day trading. Other than that it's perfect.
Fun, good time waster. Custom rosters, online feature. Wish they would add more features like list of previous players and team, in a way a better database for info on current save file. However this is a great sim, simple, fun, and can be challenging!
is there a PC version of this game I love it and want to play on my computer if possible? Also make it to where you can use 2 RB's or 1 RB and 1 TE if you want. it drives me crazy that I cannot have a TE. Also please think about adding a Pro Football coach 2 that would be awesome with some updates. Either way I will always play this game as it is perfect. Thanks.
Simple but fun little stimulation. It's not the deepest or most realistic simulation, but it has just enough to keep you entertained. Would be nice if there were defensive stats or a more in depth in game simulator, but all in all good stuff.
I like the game but why are there injuries every game and every season. Also the drafting system needs work. A high round draft pick should have high potential and unless they were injured in college they should have a durability rating of at least B. And as a coach i should have the option to cut players from the roster to save space and cap room. Plus i shouldnt be able to hold infinite alount of player like 6 Qbs, 10 Wrs, etc i thought there would be a limit of how many backup u could hold but other than that i really like the game if you changed some thing i would rate 5 stars
Disappointing. It would've been great if we could see the games being played, and, as coaches, choose the plays each down. As it is, it's like reading about games you didn't watch. You get to choose players, but then, one push and the game is over. Your coaching job doesn't involve picking the right plays that could help you win.
I would give this a 5/5. But I think there's a bug for me when I advance to the offseason. When I press "Advance to Offseason", the app stops, and it doesn't work from there no matter how many times I try. I'll keep the app, but please help me with this. Thanks, and I love this game by the way
Very enjoyable. Having to draft and work players through the seasons to try and be the highest ovr possible. Although I do wish that there was a section in the Team Info that shows how many of your players through the seasons made the Hall of Fame. I'd definitely recommend this to people.
Good game. Very solid fundamentals, good roster links to get real players, and very realistic. However, if you could do something like for Football Coach 2, and have us call plays, I think it would make it a hundred times better.
Honestly a really fun and addicting game. However two things I would add: stats for defensive players and the ability for players to play after they turn 39 based off performance. But other than that it's really fun.
Good game but lacks a few things. Most people who play this game are either football fans or ex football players. They like to focus on the areas they played. Please update for defensive stats and make the defensive side more realistic!!! In addition, I am an all around sprtsfan, so please make a basketball version of this and allow for the NBA roster like this one does NFL
Fun game but the cap space is so unbalanced, opponents can go past the salary cap but you can't, completely ruins the fun, you need to fix that and if you ever update, maybe change the drafting system to where with shows the combine and top skills like college football coach 2/ Madden 20
Huge fan of the game even though I believe I have found a 'secret formula' of a consistently winning team. Pretty much just focus on two strong running backs, an offensive line all with B+ or above run block and then strong defense with CBs all having B+ or above on coverage. Using this with a conservative offense and no preference defense until the playoffs, I just about always make the playoffs and win the championship over 50% of the time even if my qb and wrs are the worst in the league.
I think I found a bug with the LB position. The game tells me I need two backups per starter when every other position only requires one. And no matter how good a LB is, I don't get any offers for him when I put him on the trade block. I have the most updated version of the app as of 9/11/19.
Love this game. Great stats and can speed through a season of you want to. Only drawback is there could be more names in the database to avoid repeats.
Really like the game it is a lot of fun as a football manager type gameplay. I would prefer if the salary cap actually did something for the opponents. I am on season 2037 and all the teams are 10 million dollars or more over the cap. They are now way beyond my talent level. You are not allowed to sign free agents to go over cap but there are teams 25 million over. So the salary cap only penalizes you.
Really enjoy the game. They should allow you to use, players from the college game for the draft. Also make play calls in the game like the college version
it's basically madden franchise mode with less features and no gameplay, just the roster management. there needs to be a better way to trade players, and theres currently no way to release players from your roster until contract is up.
What a way to exploit the new/updated feature of gplay, by NOT updating the game but writing a message saying "it's back". This ,and all of your games, have so much potential but you dont update them. They are great at first, and the player is able to look past the quirks because it's got so.much potential. Then, you don't enhance the experience by smoothing out stats, adding more rewards, having the right stats, or just balancing. These are unfinished games, please do something
About 30 injuries a season and even though I had all players above 80 overall I still lost 8 games in a row fix injuries or show me how to turn it off and the trading makes no sense and I honestly just want a game where I can sim games train players and trade them and actually winning more than 5 games with a 5 star team.
I've played about 200 seasons so far, so I have a pretty good grasp of the simulation. There are some aspects I enjoy a lot, and there are some features I'd like addressed. First, I like the layout and overall operation. It's simple, yet doesn't get boring rapidly. It's a challenge to keep a good franchise and it is fun overall. Now, player progression is too much random gain/loss with seemingly little impact from potential rating/playing time & the trade machine is broken and one sided, badly.
