Pro Metronome

Pro Metronome is a powerful tool that helps you master both daily practice and stage performance. It has redefined how more than 3 million people sync to a beat on iOS, and now, Pro Metronome is coming to Android.
The free version is packed with features like the newly designed time signature interface – customized it any way you want. 13 time-keeping styles let you choose beat sounds that work for you – even a counting voice.. With RTP (Real-Time Playback) technology, it's more precise than a traditional mechanical metronome.

Pro Metronome is all about customization – change beat sounds, accents, and even choose from 4 different beat volume levels ("f", "mf", "p" and "mute.") With the Pro Version, access subdivisions, polyrhythm settings, and create complex patterns with triplets, dotted notes, and non-standard time signatures.

The app supports several ways to experience beats. All versions have sound, but upgrading to Pro enables Visual, Flash and Vibrate. Visual and Vibrate Modes are great when you're playing loud instruments or when you need to FEEL the beat. Flash Mode uses the device's camera flash to help your whole band sync up easily.

But Pro Metronome doesn't just help you keep time, it also helps you train. Many musicians, especially drummers, are looking for some way to help themselves keep a steadier beat. So Pro Metronome built the Rhythm Trainer
- it plays one bar of beats, then mutes the next, letting you check how steady your timing really is. Increase mute time as you get better and soon you'll be closer to having perfect timing. It's a simple idea not found in any other app, one that lots of people have requested to increase their stamina and precision.

Pro Metronome supports many other features: polyrhythm mode to help drummers hear and visualize complex, interlocking beat patterns; background play mode; in-app volume adjust; even saving playlists that you can share with friends, no matter which system they are using(Android/iOS). It's a powerful, elegant app that is easy for anyone to get started with, and useful for any musician. So pick it up and sync to your own beat today!

We know that Pro Metronome for Android is far from perfect right now. However, we'll keep improving it in the next update and finally provide the same experiences as on iOS devices.

Time to find a new met. Been using the paid version for years, but now it freezes when I change the tempo. It has been outdated for a while with a small aspect ratio, but I let that slide (until now) due to the functionality and sounds. The random crashes are just embarrassing now as I was using this daily teaching lessons. Google Play says the last update to this app was in 2016 so I'm giving up on this app altogether.

While a metronome may look like a simple thing, some are over-featured and over-complicated, others can't do the most obvious thing right. This one works, it's use is trivial, and navigation is very straightforward. I do like that the beats sound clearly and are also visually very visible. Possibly the only thing I'd wish is a simple lead-in, but then again, is it necessary?

Not too bad. Nice and convenient when I'm practicing or learning music. Love the ability to set a timer. Also setting up a practice workout that will increase the tempo incrementally has been a help. The only two things I don't dig are the tap function (which I have found to be less than accurate). The other thing is I find it difficult exiting some of the preference and setting modes in order to get back to the metronome. A "back" arrow or a "home" tab would be a nice feature.

I've used this app for 10 years and it's been flawless the whole time... Only problem is I recently switched from iPhone to Google Pixel 3a and there's something about the aspect ratio that makes it so I can no longer use the "show mode" feature in the playlists section. The buttons extend below my screen and can't be selected. Hopefully this is patched one day, I'll still be using it in the meantime.

A great metronome, and a very good price for the full version. I've had some lapses in performance, but nothing that makes the app unusable. The polyrhythm and subdivision functions are a nice addition to have. My only critique of this app is the practice function being limited to solely increasing the tempo. I would love to have a way to practice drum rudiments open-closed-open with a met, but it's impossible to even slow down the tempo over time, let alone speed up then slow down at once.

Excellent app! I was looking for a metronome with a timer and this app does a great job combining the metronome with a timer feature. I like to break my practice time into 5, 10, or 20 minute intervals and this app lets me set an alarm that tells me when to stop. The flashlight feature doesn't work on my Note9 but the screen flash does so it's all good. Great job team, it does everything I need for it to do. Also I like how I can change any attribute by just touching the display. Very nice!

Love using this app. I have been using the paid version for years now on several different devices. However, I just upgraded my phone to the Google Pixel 4 xl and now the bottom of the app is cut off. No tap tempo, time signature, or practice mode for me. I would love to see this resolved and I will continue to use the app on my iPad where I do have those features available.

It works very well, and it is steady, but you need a non free version to do the super BASIC thing of subdivisions. I originally got this bc it is loud enough, but I'm uninstalling it because of this. I know that having the subdivisions unlocked only with the paid version, but subdivisions is such a basic functionality that it makes no sense to be not included with the free version, which is all I'll pay for for a downloadable peice of software metronome. But it is a good metronome.

This app has been an absolute godsend, but I have had to stop using it on my android phone as it has started changing the velocity of each individual tick, which is creating weird beat patterns when I need a super even click! If this could be fixed, then it will be right back to 5 stars from me.

The app is great. There's an issue with the bottom for Android where the icons are to either backup or view all active apps is showing and it won't lower. I don't know if that's strictly Android or if that's the app to queue it to go down so that you can see the rest of the keys.

I enjoy most of the features of Pro Metronome of which I've purchased the full version. However its lacking in a few areas. Most importantly it has LATENCY issues. When you tap in a live tempo and then go to hit play straight away it's slightly lagging by a tiny fraction of a second but just enough to make it difficult to pick up a tempo on the fly when performing. Also needs a way to file/categorize different setlists (can only work out how to save playlists in one giant file?)

HIGHLY recommended for all levels of musicians!! Intuitive dial design and "tap tempo" functionality are very convenient in my personal practice, and non-disruptive in group rehearsals. My students enjoy the variety of sound options including classic "tick-tock", hand claps, and assorted percussion effects. Stacked-block visual option lets my college students configure irregular complex meters, as well as helping my beginners to see/hear rhythmic subdivisions.

This is an amazing metronome. The only thing it's missing is a count in option - would be extremely useful when learning new pieces as I tend to have the tempo very slow and it is annoying having to wait the full 4 bars to get back to first bar when using the voice tone

"Only" 3 starts and not 5 because: first, the most important feature that I didn't find - prevent from screen to lock due to inactivity. That is a MUST! feature that I found most important to add. Second, as a Tamra rhythm watch I'm not sure that I fully understand how to blended half with third with eighth. I did buy the pro version. Overall, I find this app very useful to play and practice with. If I'll find all those features that I wish, I'll update to 5 starts.

I've used this metronome app for quite a few years - it's by far the most intuitive, easy to use app there is (I've tried dozens, both free and paid apps). As a professional bass player of 45 years, I really appreciate the thought and care that's gone into this app over the years.

Worked great for a while, then the tap tempo function quit working. Other than it's been great, but given I had the premium version it's disappointing. I also couldn't get to the developer's webpage from the app.

Why bother with another? Useful and reliable app with everything I need. I especially like the warmup feature and the ability to mute beats. Support is currenly not available but the full feature version is.

Gar. A. Apr 23, 2022

I have had a few issues with the volume changing randomly but this turned out to be due to another app controlling media volume. Works great as always after I deleted some unused apps. Best metronome app around

Dav. K. May 1, 2022

I've used this metronome for years, but in the last few months it's stopped responding to the tap tempo taps. Still a great metronome, but I need that tap functionality to work.

A. G. u. Jan 19, 2019

The subdivisions do not work properly. The metronome plays everything double time from where it should be if you change the note value from a quarter note. it does this regardless of whether you change the tempo calculation from bpm to quarter notes per minute It does not do this on IOS by the way. Ive been using this app for a long time on IOS. Please fix this!

Wik. G. Apr 18, 2022

Pro functions I paid for stopped working without aby good reason. No contact with support team. Server is bouncing my emails back so i suppose this app will re-appear in the store under a new name and look&feel or maybe it aleady happened? Just let me know. Maybe I'll pay again. I liked this app.

Mar. L. May 20, 2021

The good: no ads, easy to use, different sound and accent choices, sound gets loud enough. The bad: UI feels "slow", the play button continues from the previous pause rather than from the first beat, and the tap tempo often won't change the tempo at all.

Jam. G. Jan 8, 2021

Snap had a lot more to offer than what I thought it does a lot more than just keep a steady beat there's a lot of different adjustments and different modifications for different styles but all in all I found it to be quite amazing. Very satisfied with the app I'm going to try to buy the pro version so I have plenty of time to figure it all out and go from there. I would highly recommend this app to anyone trying to learn music or write songs.

Cyr. M. Jan 18, 2021

This used to be my favorite metronome app by far, worked perfectly for me in every way. But then... something happened? Maybe the developer sold it off? First red flag: the import/export functions errored out with "cannot reach server" messages. Then it asked for additional permissions when I tried re-installing. Then when I revisited to try again, my phone gave me a "app using camera in background' type error (I hadn't opened in several days), so I uninstalled for good. Just, no.

Mel. B. Nov 9, 2020

I upgraded from the free version so thar I would have access to the subdivision feature but after upgradinf it still wants me to pay again for the pro version. I tried contacting the developer but their ? And ! radio buttons go to an DNS error webpage. So now I'm stuck because paypal is making me go through Google and Google isnt responding to my emails.

cay. s. Feb 6, 2022

Used to be a great metronome app but now it freezes. I typically have to restart the app about 8 times in the span of 2 hours especially if I change the bpm, that's when it typically crashes. Hope they fix it

Tam. J. Jul 29, 2019

After changing to a new phone (Galaxy S10e), I would like to import my saved settings. App says "Failed to communicate with share service. We've logged the error and will fix it soon..." This failure is present since weeks, so I'm writing here if developers could fix it within reasonable time. I have payed for the app, and this has been working previously.

A. G. u. Oct 6, 2018

It works well however, the option to have the flashlight flash in sync with the metronome does not work properly. It's way out of sink. Also in order for this to work you need to manually give camera permissions to the app.
