I've tried many task management apps, and so far this one is most helpful one. The design is so simple. It is easy to create folders of tasks, tasks, and sub-tasks, move up and down tasks. It also records the time when a task is done. It deserves a good review since there is little hype about this app. I don't see many people write a review about this app on their blogs or sites, but it helps me a lot with organizations of my tasks in real life.
It would be spot on if there was an option to set recurring tasks. If that option is available, this app will become indispensable to me and I won't even bother installing any other To-do apps, which I've been doing a lot lately. Still couldn't find the perfect one...
Great app for planning and more. Let's me keep a visual on things I need to do, but don't necessarily have a set date & time to do yet. Sync's great with calendar for things I do have planned, no hassles at all. Everything is very customizable. Must have tried at least 15 different "To Do" apps. Sticking with this one.
It's much easier to use this app for my goals than the Google website. The interface is understandable, easy to use and infinitely configurable. It also provides I variety of functional widgets which are a necessity for my day. It's not as beautiful or flashy as any.do, which I also like, but I now use pro.do exclusively because it fits better with my work flow. It needs a few refinements to get 5 stars, as noted by others, nonetheless, it's by far the most useful product in its category.
Couldn't find way to safely export/import my trial tasks so I can't use this at all as it stands. If I got something wrong, please advise and I'll gladly change my review of this if it also works completely offline. (p.s., to have to grant Identity permissions not necessary or desirable.)
It offers a heirachical setup which seems to be rare in task organizer. It needs a search capability. It's got a serious flaw with it's heirarchies. When you move an item with subordinates to a different list you will lose all those subordinate tasks. BE WARNED. In an attempt to avoid losing tasks on a sync I thought I would use the export. What I found was yet more problems. I'm not even sure how to drscribe the depth of how bad the export function is. Either version is wrong, be it email or csv.
I got really excited when I saw the customization of the widget options but was disappointed when there wasn't one to customize. I read in the description that it doesn't work when it's moved to SD card but I simply downloaded it, created a list and tried to create a widget but it wasn't there. My search for the perfect task widget continues
Nice list and todo app but it does not sync with my Google calendar although it does give me a successfully sync message. I uninstalled it and reinstalled and it does ask me which G calendar to use. But it still doesn't sync. Sent email to support but never got a response. I am using the Samsung Note 3.
Does what Astrid did, except you can't have multiple lists on a task - which is a limitation of google tasks not this app so that can't be changed. other than that, this is simple, quick and has a widget too. The interface could do with a brush up to make it look a bit nicer, but that's a small issue - it works great - 5 stars!!
Like colors, sizable, etc. Simple. Only one issue is new items go to bottom of list and need to be dragged up. Don't mind prioritizing etc. But I keep long list, and expired tasks to see what's done, and it's a pain because it's all the way below finished tasks. Still, less complicated than others and I like that.
Nice try but the author missed the obvious. Themes and fonts don't apply to Notes, strike one. Too many taps to edit because you have to tap on the title first and this is difficult if there are notes, strike two. There is no ability to show only one line or to hide the notes which makes the list display a mess and makes it very difficult to drag and drop, strike three. I guess if you don't use notes this app might work for you, but then what's the point? The good news is that all three of these strikes should be fixable by the author. If the author agrees that these are strikes.
I love this app - simple to use, functional, convenient. I use this app DAILY. It's a life saver with my crazy life. One thing I would like is having a multi-select option. It would be nice to move or delete multiple items at once rather than one at a time.
BEST ONE! Only missing 1 or 2 things of import: recurring tasks and no bulk entry. Other than that, it has just about everything you could ask for! I wish I could give it 4 1/2 stars. It'd be nice to have more control over the color themes, like just choosing the accent color and leaving the background white, but it doesn't REALLY affect usability so... It's just pretty amazing. The bulk entry is just about using less clicks and not losing train of thought when blurting out a bunch of todos back to back. But I've tried about 8 other apps, and THIS IS THE BEST ONE. Even missing the things I mentioned, it's the best. I'd rather wait it out here than use anything else.
I have tried lots of different task managers but this is the one I keep on going back to. What I find great are the variety of widgets and the pop up reminder. To make it perfect it would be great if I was able to add the due date and reminder at the same time as creating the task (rather than having to go back into it, once it is created). It would also be good if the reminder alarm sounded when I turned my phone on eg if I set the reminder for 8.00am but did not turn my phone on until 9.00am
I've tried a lot of different listmaking apps but this is still my favorite. Love the color coding and ease of adding to the list. It hasn't been updated in a while, hope it doesn't go the way of astrid and disappear!
This is the only todo list I could find that fit my needs (manually organizable list widget). Right now I have two issues: 1- Items checked as done do not disappear until I manually delete them. This requires a bunch of extra taps every time and is super annoying (there's a setting for this, but it doesn't work, bug maybe?) And 2 - There's no check box to mark something done on the widget! Really? Despite all the bells and whistles available, they forgot one of the most key features of a 'todo' list? Yes.
When swiping down the list, a task can get nested as a subtask of the task above it if you slightly swipe sideways or even tap in a way that seems to the side. I am forever having to hunt down and adjust an accidental sub task back to a main task. That should only be possible while the move option is selected. Being able to swipe on the widget would be nice too instead of tapping a small arrow multiple times. Today I was having issues with getting a task to open so I could edit it.
I use this mainly for storing and organising notes as opposed to tasks. Some of my 'tasks' can be pretty lengthy. The layout in ProDo is best I've found. HOWEVER there is a serious problem syncing from this app. Not sure, but it seems that existing tasks created elsewhere, and later edited within ProDo, revert back to the old version even after manually syncing ProDo. I've lost updates to my notes on many occasions this way. Anyhow, I really appreciate the developers making this available for free. Unfortunately have to take a star away for the bug.
Excellent app. Very clean & handy UI. Everything where you want it. Hierarchical task lists. Syncs reliably. Now all I have to do is complete some of those pesky tasks! (Later) -- the more I use it, the better it gets. A friend suggested Todoist but it's not a patch on ProDo -- didn't even sync with my Google account tasks, which ProDo does brilliantly.
It does everything it promises and more! Customizing the tasks and sub-tasks, you gain control over your time and the way insvest piit vit. I LOVE IT? I don't give 5 starts, because it not too simple to finally add the tasks and put the alarma. Too many steps.
Nearly perfect. Highly recommended. Just a few little niggles. Like sometimes sliding subtasks left to make main tasks doesn't stick. And, can't swipe widget to scroll through lists ( →feature request ). Would also like to have more freedom over sorting keys selection. But, great job.

It's just like a piece of paper. Simple and useful. Only suggestion, I wish it was more integrated into my phone. Like a 'daily to-do list' as my background or pop up reminders when I turn on my phone, something of that nature. I have to activate app to find my reminders. Some days I'm so busy I forget I have the app.
With Astrid shutting down, I've been looking for a comparable to do app, and ProDo is as close as it gets. ProDo doesn't require a sign in, or a yearly fee for more features. It works with Swipe, has a very simple to set Due Date and Alarm, and can be added as a widget on your Homescreen. The only thing I miss is Astrid's sarcastic wit, but maybe ProDo will add that too.
Not compact view enough to be able to use tasks as my day or week plan. Difficult to move tasks to another folder.I prefer Onotes app for planning.
Great app. I would give it 5 stars but I paid for it and then they made it free, so that's pretty irritating.
The app was giving me some brief on the last update but now that it's fixed it works like a charm.
The only thing I can think of that is missing is the option to make tasks repeat. :-)
I use this daily. Thank you for creating it. However, random tasks get made subtasks and its impossible to change them (app overrides settings). ALSO, your sorting order does not work! All new tasks listed at bottom of list. Very annoying when you have a list a long as mine. Please fix these bugs.
