Profile Widget Lite
These profiles can handle:
* Volume (ring, notification, alarm, system and multimedia) .
* Vibration.
* Default phone ringtone.
* Default notification ringtone.
* Wi-Fi status.
* Mobile data status.
* Bluetooth status.
* Screen timeout.
* Screen brightness.
* Automatic data sync.
* Screen rotation.
* Airplane Mode (Android 2.x, 3.x, 4.0.x).
The profiles can be activated both from the app itself and from the home screen widget provided. To add the widget, you just have to long press on an empty space on the desired home screen and select Widgets -> Profile Widget.
The home screen widget can be customized for each profile with 12 colors (6 in Lite version) and 29 icons (10 in Lite version).
Also, if you don't want to use the widget, there's the option to add shortcuts to activate the profiles to the homescreen.
From version 4.0 on, Profile Widget integrates with Tasker and Locale.
With this app you can easily switch your phone from, say, a vibration+no sound mode to a full volume mode to a completely silent mode with just a single click!.
About the permissions: the app now asks permission to read the phone state, just in order to change the volume of the calls when the phone is ringing (the only way of separating notification and ringer volume in Android 4.0+). It cannot do anything else with this information, since it does NOT have Internet access, call or SMS permissions.

Despite the writeup, Lite provides TWO profiles and does nit allow you to add new ones. Also, it does not include a widget. It also ignores existing android profiles.
It doesn't change mobile data status in Nougat on a dual sim phone.

The best app for ringtone and notification sound separation. Would try custom notification icons for each profile.

The only profile manager app with a modern JB like interface! Only one wish though... Could you add more icons? 2 profiles just enough for me, but the icons are lame ;) Thx!

I asked questions via e-mail and he got back to me very quickly. I feel like I should buy the pay version just to thank him for that, but it's worth it anyway, because it's such a cool, simple app. I have not experienced any glitches with it, and it works just as stated in Google Play. I really like what it can do now (I was only looking for a volume/mute/vibrate changing widget), and I'm looking forward to future expansion (though, for me, this is already enough). :-)
I like this so much I plan to buy the upgrade. Easy to use.
The addition of GPS toggle would make this complete, and the best of the lot!
It appears to give you all the control you need for each profile you create, but i still get sounds that i shouldn't. For instance i set a profile for over night. I want the ringer to be full blast to wake me up if somebody is trying to reach me in the middle of the night. Also, i keep the Alarm volume at max so that if i set my alarm when i'm travelling it'll wake me up. All of the other volumes are set to zero so that i don't hear notifications for texts, emails, or any other app that sends me notifications. It doesn't work because any time i get an email it still plays the notification sound that i set for it. So last effort was to take control of Notification sounds from within this app and set it to silent for this profile. The notification still comes through. Even the latest update from this morning didn't work.
Nice interface. Let's you control everything without being complicated. Nice widget, shortcuts and notifications. Especially like the "learn current phone settings" feature.
Can't you put all the profiles in one widget? That with one click it will change to the next profile that I made? Like if you want 4 diferent profiles but you don't want to take too much space in your desktop?

This app do what I want. I could set up different profiles for Wi-Fi and data connection, in addition to ring or sound volume. And this give flexibility to add shortcuts for profile. It is wonderful. Must installed.

The widget on the home screen no longer changes when you select a different profile.

Easy to use and does not need complex rules and gps. Less battery drain and light weight. Developer is very responsive and responds to your suggestions.

Crashes on Android 8.1 when trying to access mobile data settings. Would buy it if the timed profile settings were based on day-of-week options and not only on time (need to distinguish working day/weekend..)
