I give it 5 stars for ease of use and presentation. I got the lifetime subscription on it so obviously saw some value. They do have a large amount of courses, but the content feels introductory. It is presented in a very easily digested manner thou and I definately reccomend it as a refresher or as an intro. The most glaring issue is that it lacks any ongoing means to practice or test yourself, which is something that almost all competitor has.
Got 4 certificates only to find them suddenly gone and the courses say no progress was made in them. Also got 100% in all 4 and didn't get the fancy "Certificate of Excellence" or whatever it was. Also, Can't link to LinkedIn and unless I take a screenshot I can't download the certificate either. Great courses. Worth the money considering what you're getting. Ironically it's the software that it the greatest issue here.
Just begun one of the free course's to see how they work and if it is something that would be worth purchasing a lifetime subscription. So far it's better then I was expecting. I'm really interested in learning how to code and wanted to learn some of the basics on my own before choosing if I want to start a career in this particular field. So far this Is the first app I've found really beginner friendly. Only suggestion would be to fix the multiple choice so it doesn't give you the answers
I became pro and used the app for about 2 years gaining the certificate for over 70 courses but at some point accidentally I scrolled down and it started syncing. In the end it messed up the progress of all my passed courses, some of them went back to 80+% others at 0%. When I hit the certificate icon in the broken courses some of them are changed to the correct state 100% some are not. Then if I sync again all courses go back to broken state. It has serious issues with syncing long time now...
They haven't fixed glaring mistake on early level of the sql course. I sent emails, screen shots and descriptions of the error. I paid for a subscription, but I'm worried about their competence. I'll change my rating when they fix their error. 10/31/2020. UPPDATE: They finally fixed it. 4/24/2022. I sent screen shots of the errors when I found them, and months later. Response time to fix errors...1 1/2 years. I guess I'll try a few more courses to see how accurate and helpful they are.
At the first impression when I used the app, I thought it would be the best app for IT I could have, but when I use it more there are a lot of bugs: when I log out of my account and sign back in, I lose all my course and I have to start over again, also some courses didn't have text to speech. It really frustrated with me when I start a course over again. I even make a report to fix the problem, but they still fix it.
Regret buying lifetime subscription. Started using this app alongside two other apps. But the difference between them is very clear. Tried out the html course and it was disappointing. The practices are better on Mimo and programming hero is better for explanations. Compared to them, programming hub only has one thing going for it: the high amount of courses it offers. But if the practice and explanations aren't in depth then I see no point in having so many courses. There are also glitches too
Not sure what they want from this... I did like a module and then it tries to force me to go pro. Wont let me pass so basically a waste of time unless you want to spend. Honestly, there are other apps out there with a better learning setup and they are really free so unless they better there trial pieces I dont believe this app has any real value for money.
Everything was good, but I was disappointed when I saw that after learning half of Flutter (Dart), it says that to learn further, you have to upgrade to PRO version 🙂 at least like make a ad so we can like learn it by watching two or more ads. The reason I still gave 4 star because the app is all-over pretty impressive, but that thing disappointed it. :(
You know, I would be okay with this app, if it wasn't for the fact that your certificates may vanish if you refresh, causing you to have to retake any and all tests to remake the progress. Luckily, I download all of my certificates, so I can only hope that nothing gets corrupted. But I am very cautious about continuing, because what happens when I accidentally refresh and those wash away too? And to make things worse, Facebook login is bricked, so thanks for an app that "works".
Very happy with how affordable the lifetime subscription is for the seemingly unlimited amount of knowledge it provides, but there's a huge glitch in the "local scope" portion of the C advanced course that crashes the app, making the course impossible to finish. Hopefully there aren't too many of these errors, however.
I brought this app as an investment into coding about 2 yrs ago. So far, It has been worth it as it offers a variety of programming and coding learning programs. There easy to navigate and rather quick. However, I'm not sure if the certificate at the end is valid, so I haven't put too much time into the app. An answer to validity of the certificates would be greatly appreciated.
I'm a beginner to programming and I've completed 2 courses, now in my third. So far, the app is easy to use and the content is understandable. A certificate is provided when you learn a new skill or about a new topic. Text, pictures, videos, interactive quizzes, and tests are mixed in with each lesson. With this method, I feel confident I'm grasping the concepts and I'm motivated to keep going.
This app is flexible and very effective in use. The lessons are well structured and understood with graphics content. Its allow you re-read the lessons just in case you're lost during your test. Great app. Love it!
I used to love this app and it's courses, but my Pro membership is full of bugs. Sometimes it doesn't let me access the pro content, sometimes it sets me back in courses I'd already completed and sometimes my certificates don't load... Please fix the bugs so it's more enjoyable again to use this app.
It is a very useful sourcr of knowledge.Every single topic is explained in detail here and in a very easy to understand language and after every topic we get a time to think about it, revise it. There are no complications and it is a great app to learn programming. I really liked this app.
The courses on programming hub are interactive and very very interesting. Though I tried only HTML course, I believe other courses will also be more or less the same, interesting and easy to understand. Thank you Programming Hub.
Sorry, I change my rate but forgot to change my review. I change my review because this app has improved a lot compared to few years back. Really enjoy using it to kill my time while waiting for public transport etc. This app has a very amazing UI & UX. Very recommended for those who just started to learn about programming.
The learning material is very good but I am facing syncing issues in my android devices I have completed some courses in the laptop but when I am signing in the app on my devices it's keep on loading and does not going above 10%. Please resolve it I have tried clearing data and installation again but no luck.
The app is very useful for learning all the basic content with wonderful user interface & walkthrough. More interesting is the fact that even though there are few issues sometimes, they have a wonderful support team who never leaves you disappointing :D Cheers! 👏
I have come across a problem while trying to download a certificate. The app is telling me I need to complete the test. However I have completed the test and passed. EDIT# I am also having problems with returning to the courses I have already started. I was 80% through a course and I lost my progress. I have tried clearing data and reloading the app but it looks like it has not saved my progress.
This app give simple and clear instructions I'm starting to learn Python, and the examples are simple and easy to understand. Honestly I thought picking up coding would've been difficult and daunting. But this app is proving that completely wrong.
Something is wrong, after I isntalled this app everything went right, I signed up, took a course and next day when I was trying to open the app it wouldn't open. Then I uninstalled, reinstalled and again, the same story. Can you somehow fix this? I'm using Samsung galaxy s9.
The application itself is pretty clean looking and easy to use. The selection of courses is super broad compared to other applications. Unfortunately, though, the content of they cover is very basic, even on the "advanced" courses. There are many grammatical errors, and syntactical inconsistencies throughout the lessons. The really bad part though is their back end is buggy and when you refresh the app often times your code progression is lost (!!!) or it doesn't remember which courses you did.
Programming Hub offers many courses with bite-sized lessons, simple design, and friendly interaction. The content is also concise, with adequate visual materials that go straight to the point of the studying topic, which is effective and time-saving for learners. People can try to learn free courses first to decide whether they would enjoy the teaching style and material of this app. Anyway, keep up your good work. Peace!
The content for the pro version is good and lots of it. The reason for the 3 stars is that I find the learning part not as good as it could be. I've found that you go through the lessons but don't practice the coding straight after, unless I've missed something, meaning it can be forgotten or not fully understood. I'd suggest that after the questions you have to write the code using your own examples. I understand you can use the compiler and programs tab but if you get stuck you have to go back
This is mostly great but I'd like to propose some idea. First it could be great if some subject could go a little further on. Then and most important to me, it would be nice adding a commentary section under every lesson or even under every windows so that users can ask questions and others could answer them. Eventually if it could become more socio interactive it would be great Thanks again all the rest I did not mention is definitely great!
