Hands down the worst service. I was really excited to switch to Fi being that I'm already apart of the ecosystem. Had the phone less than a month and was never able to send or receive text messages. I have called customer service multiple times in regard to the issue, and keep getting the runaround with troubleshooting steps that I have done multiple times to no avail. I reside in a good service area, and 5G is always full. So I'm extremely confused and why this is an ongoing issue. Disappointed

I've been using Google Fi for quite some time and I like it, however I don't use much data. Regardless, the new unlimited options are welcomed. This app makes managing your Google Fi account incredibly easy by having about everything you need to configure it. If upgrading a new phone for example, simple taps and done then setup the new one as your primary one. I've never had to call anybody for support but yet get the same customer service which is decent. I hope to see more improvements in time

I have been with fi for some time now since they started. My review is this, they are great for international! Your phone will literally work anywhere. With that said there is alot of problems with the flexible data. Your text will not automatically switch to SMS so you will not get most of your messages till you connect to WiFi. This is annoying for those trying to save money. The good news, you can easily switch month to month. For me fi is a great service and phone insurance isn't bad.

Worst customer service ever! Tried to port 2 numbers yesterday. One went through right away, the other one that was entered first did not. After 3 hours talking to several fi reps, I called my current carrier and they couldn't see the port out request. Called Fi back, canx the port and re-entered it. It's been well over 24 hours and still nothing. Now it's being looked at as an issue. If it had been looked at Saturday, instead of just sending scripted responses, the issue would be fixed.

Not sure why all the negative reviews. Yes when I first installed the SIM card and got all set up, I couldn't place calls or hear anything. I contacted Fi support. Pleasant experience they were very helpful. Got a call within 5 minutes and everything was working fine. Just needed to wait for everything to sync together. So far so good and great prices.

When you consider what you are paying ($70 plus tax), compare to what you get from other providers in the US or abroad if you travel, the service becomes mediocre at best. It is an advantage not having to buy new SIM cards every time you travel but the data speeds are slow and too many missed calls occur. Only worth it if you are mainly in the US and need to call abroad almost always. Consider it limits you to use data only up to 6 months outside the US.

A bit disappointing.... I travel internationally quite a bit and I'm happy with the service I've gotten around the world, even in the far reaxhing third-world countries. BUT, when I'm at home in the Washington DC Metro area, I have all kinds of spotty coverage. It NEVER switches to 5G automatically. It drops out completely and usually I have to switch to airplane mode then back on for it to recognize a 5G network. Very frustrating.

The tech support is incapable of solving an issue I've been having with sending pics via text to international numbers. This is one of the most basic features of a smartphone and it just does not work. Ive wasted my time with tech support at leats 6 times over a year an half period while in the US and abroad with still no fix. Their answer is always that they cannot insure service or full functionality while overseas, which is absurd.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Network coverage map shows my area to have the 5 AND 4G coverage. We ordered all new phones from Google and the network is JUNK. It will only make and receive calls sometimes, same with texting or surfing internet. The network will drop u with the phone showing 5g full bars coverage. When you CAN get it going, it sets and buffers forever. Your phone's battery can't outlast all the buffering. We've updated it, we've contacted support.no help. Wasted time and money.

Google Fi customer support is abysmal. When I first received the phone (paid for protection plan), the screen was intermittently not working out of the box and audio also not working. They replaced the phone (which was brand new) with a refurbished model. 3 years later the phone stopped working altogether. I have now spent a collective 3 hours on the phone to attempt a repair (paid for device protection). The initial specialist initiated a replacement (not a repair) without my consent. Then they cancelled the request for replacement in order to issue a repair and I am still waiting for the email that will allow me to submit for a repair. They apparently have no direct line to the actual repair specialist, refused to let me speak with a supervisor. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. From a cellular service standpoint, I have very poor reception throughout a major city, to the point that I need to connect to wifi at my place of work.

This is the worst provider/ service I have ever used. I only see about half of the calls and texts I get on a daily basis. One of my friends with an iPhone has to communicate with me on Instagram because of it. The phones are complete trash now and have been since they discontinued the Pixel 2. Both the phone and the service are unreliable and barely cheaper than competitors. Definitely not enough to make it worth missing important calls and messages. On to a new provider and phone.

Customer service is awful, they export to non-US countries and they are very limited in what they can help you with. Hard to communicate with. Phone service is okay a little overpriced. I think the product could be more appealing with a lower price and higher incentive to use pixel phones, like free phone with transfer, etc. They should be more competitive with Mint.

Horrible. I sporadically receive individual texts, no group messages or calling whatsoever, even after lists and lists via email of troubleshooting. I even tried a new SIM that worked for about ten minutes before back to square one. Again trying to get ahold of the service department, I get one response message and then never hear from them again. Worst service, worst product. Hate it so much.

I have had a miserable experience with Google Fi as well as the Google Pixel phone. I've had to return two phones within 6 months for warranty exchanges because the screen turned green on me. Spent an hour with Google Fi support trying to troubleshoot the phone. Both times the only solution was to return the phone for another one. When I received my second replacement phone and activated it with Google Fi service, I had NO SERVICE. Again, hours spent with Google support trying to figure out why I don't have service (which I'm paying for) only to be told it will be escalated to the specialist team. It's been a week and I still have NO SERVICE! I think it's time to leave Google Fi and go to a carrier where the service works. I would like to make calls and send texts...that would be nice.

The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. I pay for a protection plan because I want repairs to be simple. It has take 10 emails, two visits to stores, and five phone calls (over the course of three weeks) to try and get my screen repaired. I am still having issues. I can not more strongly recommend not using this service. It is great until something goes wrong but as soon as it does you're completely out of luck

Bought Pixel 5a this week. Very satisfied since 2016. Ported my number easy and upgraded to phones with them multiple times. No contract, interest free monthly payments for new devices if I buy. I can also switch between plans when needed. Super easy. Customer service has also been always the best. We moved to a rural area 3 years ago and it works great. Signal is not that great but that's how everything is here! When we travel international we don't get charged for roaming. Pocket friendly.

Xia. L. May 16, 2022

Firstly, once the phone signal drops off, only choice is to reboot the phone; secondly, Google Pixel 6 plus Google Fi works badly, because the speaker of Pixel 6 is defective which lead the caller can not be heard by receiver. Additionally, Google nest mesh also has low quality, which only worked for 2 years, then one mesh stopped working. Never trust Google hardware products.

Google Fi as a waste of money for me. Paying per gb of data meant I was constantly OCD about my data usage. I couldn't keep my monthly bill under $50, even though I only used data for GPS and on-the-go emergencies like finding an online coupon in a store. I switched to Mint Mobile, and I'm paying $15/mo and I have FOUR free gb of data every month. 3 stars because the service was good, the user interface clean and clear, and easy to cancel.

Phi. H. Apr 14, 2022

Been a Fi Customer for over 5 years, and the customer support has really gone downhill. Recently upgraded to a new phone and it won't connect to network. Impossible to get an ETA or just of steps I could take while waiting. I even asked if they could refer me to a repair shop they partner with to get someone in person to look at it / trouble shoot. Used to think Fi was too good to be true, but after this experience starting to think it's now a "you get what you pay for".

Google fi is overly expensive and international data is intermittent and seldom at LTE speeds as advertised. I was traveling abroad when Google decided to suspend my data suddenly b/c I hadn't used the service in the US during 4 months. It was cancelled on the same day, minutes after I got an e-mail from Google informing me of the change. I was only paying the expensive rate for a slight convenience but it's def not worth it.

Ian. J. May 24, 2022

Traveling internationally in Italy. I have Google Fi plan (unlimited plus) and messaging, talk and data (cellular LTE) cuts out every hour in Italy. (I am also on Android 13 beta.) The remedy: cleat "Google Fi" app cache/storage and LTE works again. Tried so many other fixes, like manually selecting towers, or refreshing connections or rebooting phone. Only solution is to clear Google Fi app cache/storage and works right away. Very annoying because LTE drops like every hour. Please fix! Thanks.

Google Fi is a terrible experience all around! The customer service is always terrible. The service is so spotty. I've had nothing but trouble with this company. I mean, it took them 3 months to get the phone sent to me🤦🏿‍♂️ It's my fault for sticking with them. I will be switching carriers. I will not recommend this to a friend.

Sea. D. Apr 14, 2022

Poor service, refuse to respond to requests for help with basic issues with anything more than our experts are working on it. Update: went over 2 weeks without mms messages working properly. I requested a statement credit which was originally denied then approved when after several messages, however I never actually received the credit. Google Fi has terrible customer service.

pas. d. May 26, 2022

An absolute nightmare, it's been two days now with countless phone calls and over 21 emails going back and forth, and still the phone does not receive phone calls and texts get mixed up. Every time I get a respond from emails it is a different person, who is absolutely clueless about a solution and the only thing they send you is thank you for contacting us , if you have any other questions don't hesitate. And they forget to actually fix the problem. Google fi, higher the right people.
