It visualizes, sure, but the selection is just a bunch of just on or off jumps. No difference from slow, quiet music to fast and loud music. If all you're looking for is the acid trip then have at it, but if you're looking for something that somewhat wlsyncs to your music, look elsewhere.
Hands down best app I've used for visuals!! I've used as a Screensaver on my phone and computer. When in use as screensaver it uses the phones mic and will react to music and sounds nearby! I love to use this app when screen mirroring and with samsung DEX. The visuals will then be shown on the tv! The visuals stay crystal cleat even when on a much larger screen! They update the app often and I love them for that. I've bought this app 3 times and I'll buy it again just to show my support
Cool effects, but adding as a wallpaper is a struggle. First of all, I hate how you can't pick between lock screen and home screen, only home screen or BOTH. This is frustrating. It'd be fun to have a different one for each. Whenever I try and change my wallpaper, it automatically changes it before I even confirm it. Similarly, I could spend a lot of time finding one that fits as a wallpaper, and then when i go to set it as one, a DIFFERENT ONE gets added, leaving me unable to use the 1 I want
Such an amazing app. I was mistaken to think that it was a simple graphic or spirographic program. No, it's not that simple. It actually reacts to sound. Beautiful colors, magnificent shapes, mesmerizing and hypnotic. This is great to look at while you're listening to music, or any sounds such as concerts or restaurants. An excellent distraction to help with calming when needed.
Best visualizer by far. However, I would suggest making some simple changes to make it even better. First, Create a button that can turn off the visualizer from both the app and home screen. (the buttons at the bottom of the app don't really work somehow). Second, Put more gestures so we can draw with 2 or more fingers rotate and do more ypes of cool tricks more easily. Third, add favorurite options for the visualizer so we can save them if we like. Thank you.
great visualizer... but some questionable business practices this is a good recreation of milk drop. I bought the pro version and am quite happy with it. my problem is they want me to pay again for the Android TV version for my nvidia shield. why? it's the exact same thing... with all the same functionality. one of the benefits of buying apps for Android devices is that you buy it once and it works on all devices well, that's what side loading is for. non tv version works just fine on the shield
I just bought it and this app is a pretty nice idea but it needs some work. It's pretty ridiculous that I can't navigate to another app while this is playing on my Chromecast. It pauses if I change app, essentially holding my whole phone hostage if I want to use the visualizer. Also if I'm editing the settings and press back the Chromecast connection is lost and music starts playing off my phone. Oh and it steals audio from all other apps, playing nothin. Fix this and you'll get a better rating.
This app is probably the best visualizer out there. My only complaint is there should be an option to darken the visuals in live wallpaper mode, it can be hard to navigate when bright colors are flashing everywhere. It would also be nice if the gestures worked in wallpaper mode. Add these options and I'll give 5 stars
I love the visuals in this app, but PLEASE make it possible to switch to a different app while using chromecast... When the visualizer is connected to chromecast and I switch to Spotify for example to queue the next song, the visuals keep playing on the TV, but the sound cuts out until I reenter the project M app. This makes chromecast usage basically disfunctional for me.
Ended up sharing screen using different app (took a few to mirror screen vs stream videos, pics, etc), then got my old phone to then stream Spotify (having mirror screen app and Spotify and projectm running with Bluetooth for sound caused mad stutter). 4 stars. Great for a Visualizer and I don't mean to aggro over the devs here, but...streaming controls somewhere in "Settings" seems intuitive...or at least a grayed out something saying it won't work...screenshots=top of UI, but not 4 me!
I've used this app since around 2014 & I've gotta say, it's the BEST music visualizer app I've ever seen! It's absolutely worth the small price! I recently experienced an issue with downloading the app (due to my error), so I emailed the developer & received a reply back within minutes. He graciously & quickly helped me get it resolved. I appreciated the help, Peter, & your app ROCKS! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Bought it years ago and have REALLY enjoyed it. My only disappointment has been that it seems to struggle with the transitions between presets. It might sound trivial but watching the combo in between is for me the best part. Reinstalling it sometimes helps, so does a device upgrade but not for long. Eventually the presets just snap from one to the next with zero transition. 😣
I have been using this app since 2013 or so I think I have paid for the pro version under 2 different Google accounts and thoroughly enjoy it but I agree with someone else that commented about the Google TV version. If you pay for the Pro version in the play store it should work across all android devices, there should be no additional charge. Amazing app though it has provided hrs of entertainment when a light show was needed but not around lol.
This is the only app I've ever felt the need to review. This app is everything you're looking for and more. There seems to be a near infinite amount of variations and it's great to look at trippy, also put some headphones, put on a cheap vr headset and you'll get transported to another dimension
Best visuals for music & sounds ever! Proj. (M)ilk drop has been around since the DOS days and is digitally integrated w\ the POWER AMP app, brought to us by the creators of WINAMP mp3 player for home computers way back in the 90s, so it's worth paying for the PRO versions, TRUST! LOL wait, hold on, what are batteries for, for using before your screen or CPU get smashed, righ! I don't notice much difference in battery life running Project M as my TOTALLY AWESOME live wallpaper. Hands down FAVE!
great app, super nostalgic and calming it's helped me a lot with anxiety as it gives something else to focus on I love it! only complaint is it's hard to navigate and save your favourite visuals even with the playlist feature as you can't add them only copy and delete
Needs improvement. App had been really glitchy lately needs an update. Does not save presets, visual list doesn't always come up, among other things. Until this is fixed it will remain at 3 stars.
Great app, would be 5 stars the problem is that I can only use it on my phone - google play says both the free and paid versions are incompatible with my android box, but when I download the .apk for the free version from elsewhere it works perfectly fine (in fact better than my phone) but I'm unwilling to put up with the incredibly annoying ads - especially since I've paid for it - please change this...
This is probally one of the best visualizers out there, that can change by ambient sound and/or music apps, and set as live wallpaper, some claim do but do not but this one does and would recommend have unistalled and reinstalled because is not a better one out there, only needs to add new effects/visulizations every So often.
This is the absolute best visualizer I've ever had. From milkdrop on winamp to this app on android. Hours of use and still new visuals I've yet to have seen. Mesmerised everyday as it plays as my screensaver for its mind melting beautiful morphing visuals. Worth more then what it cost. Massive thanks to the creators of this application for keeping this program up and running!!
absolutely awesome visualizer, i've been using this a while now and the modes on it and sheer volume of visuals is phenomenal. Love the mushroom mode as well, very trippy!!! I was after something similar to soundspectrums stuff on windows, Aeon and Whitecap etc but this is miles better and looks really cool. Great job Devs and thank you for an excellent app!!! 5*
Is the same as Milkdrop from Winamp. And have to play music from another source, then use this app to interact with the visuals. Visuals , called presets, move and bounce with the music. And can change the settings in them for different effects. Old school
Love this app. Showcasing my wallpaper to people is always a hit. One problem though, I noticed that my Google Assistant breaks when I have the auto or microphone setting. I guess it locks up the mic API and causes errors with Assistant. I hope this can be solved!
I got a new phone, so I had to download it again. It's not as good as it used to be. Previously, it had a lot more in the way of calm choices. This apparently newer version has nothing but over-the-top frantic kinetic images. Still good, but as relaxing as before and used as much as previously.
A great app but I'm finding it really hard to make visual playlists and stuff. It would be nice if it was easier to use so from browsing the visuals you could just add them to playlists but overall it's a great app.
Overall, this app is brilliant. Well worth the money and exactly what I wanted. The only things I'd like to see improved are playlists (it won't actually let me copy presets, only cut them, and empty playlists are automatically deleted, so there's no way to actually make a playlist), and an explanation of what transition duration actually does. Overall I love it though.
