The app was working fine until a month ago. My customers were not receiving email invoices, so I started sending invoices to my customers phone numbers. Live chat rep has not a clue. I decided to see if I could send the email invoice using my laptop and it worked and my customer received the email. But I cannot constantly have my laptop with me when I need to send and invoice. And now the service that sends invoices to phone numbers is not working either. This is crazy and an inconvenience.
I set up my Propay through Mary Kay as I am an Independent Consultant. I was unable to log in. I called the number provided. The agent said, they can't support my business. I asked why and no answers he just kept repeating how sad it was. So I do the chat thing, the agent there said my birthday doesn't match up. Hoeever. It was correct. She gives me an email to send my ID. I did... they can't give me any info because they can't verify me. She doesn't have access to the email to get the ID.
Have the option to text invoices went away? I only see the email option. I would have given it more but this is inconvenient for my customers.
Propay offers a fingerprint log in option. Been using it for 2 years. Now it suddenly wants a user name and password and ignores my fingerprint entirely. As if I know what the user name and password are. If you're going to offer a fingerprint option, should keep it functioning. After 2 years, no one is going to remember other log in info.
The bluetooth chip card reader is not compatible with Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ or 9+. I bought an adapter to use the swipe card reader and it is not also compatible. The app works well, but it takes time to enter the info needed, plus the rate is more when you type it in. PS: both readers work great with my ipad, but I don't carry around with me.
Ridiculous! Used to be able to use the app so it was quick and easy to accept cards with my business. Emailed customer service trying to figure out what the problem is and they haven't made their equipment compatible with the new phone updates. And still hasn't months later. But has no problem charging a percentage of our sales and fees.
Does anybody else notice that this product only works with older phone? I Tried the device on my new phone and it doesn't work. I can only use the device on older phones. Called the company because the device wouldnt scan cards. I was on the phone for hours with technical support. They want the scanner back based on warranty. However, i will have to pay for shipping, shippin insurance and a restocking charge. The until is only with me for a few days.
This is ridiculous. I can't store credit cards anymore? I depend on the APP for my business and can't use it to the full advantage. And they aren't doing a damn thing to fix it. I have called, emailed and now this. Don't make an app that doesn't work properly and you don't maintain it.
12/22 edit: looks like they finally updated for Android 10! Until about two months ago this app was great, but since my phone updated to the latest version of Android this just crashes. Please fix! I appear so unprofessional without being able to process cards with the reader
Update- They finally fixed the problem a short time after I write the previous review and apologized for the inconvenience. It still took around 5 weeks for the problem to be resolved however which is terrible but the app is working just fine now. Previous- Still won't work and it's now mid-December. I hadn't actually been using the app very long. In early November, I wasn't able to open the app any longer and they told me it had something to do with pixel phones. It's clear their problem is bigger than that. Their inefficiency in fixing these problems is actually really embarrassing. This is detrimental to people with small businesses who are just trying to run simple transactions and who have paid for this service.
Will not work on Android 10 update. This is now useless to me. I have been using this app for 2 years on my Pixel phone. The app is now updated and works with Android 10. I'm happy that I am once again able to use this app and my reader once again. I am able to use the app once again. It's working fine on my pixel.
Like the two reviews below mine, I have a complaint about the phone app not working properly for at least a month. It won't save clients cc numbers, and I keep getting error messages when I enter the info manually. Also, the reader is not working and results in a weird error message. That started about June or July. I've used Propay for 14 years with minimal problems, but this is now impacting my ability to do business smoothly. Contacting customer service is a joke. Please fix!!!
Same probs as everyone else Since last android update, the app wont even open 😣 I have a google pixel 2nd gen. Very hard to run my MK business without the app working correctly. Even when i try to login to the desktop website and send text invoices, my customers never receive them so that is not an option either.
I tried processing transactions at a party and I kept getting kicked off no matter with WiFi or not and then it said $0.00 voided each time. Two days later it charged the customer 3x and charged me transaction fees. When I tried calling customer service they were horrible and kept blaming me for the app not working and refused to refund my transaction fees saying they have not had issues in the longest time yet here there are reviews stating otherwise from this month. Terrible customer service!!
I need to use the ProPay App service and it has stopped working right in the middle of a transaction. I have signed-in, reinstalled, restarted my phone & STILL no service. Needless to say, I am very disappointed. Never happened to me before.
The app crashes constantly. I never know if a transaction processes, and I often need to run a card a second time (using the desktop) only to have two charges show up!
3-13-20: i have uninstalled and reinstalled ap, shut phone off and this is still not helping. I cannot use card reader and it freezes after every transaction. Only way to clear is shut phone off, HELP!! I have a LG G6 4-9-20:so just read list of compatiable devices, mine is no longer compatible ??? Really? I am not happy. I emailed they never helped only cared to close ticket
The app is ok. 2 issues, low limit for how much $$$ you can process; the data entry screen is too large for the phone...clients can't see how much tip they are entering. Fix these issues and the app will be sufficient.
Doesn't calculate taxes correctly. I use a Galaxy S 7 and S9. It doesn't work on either. Terrible app for businesses, you'll lose a lot of money if you don't pay attention to the improper calculations of the supposed "auto" tax option. Please update or fix!!
Trys to be like square but has horrible customer service and keeps your money from you and it very unwilly to help. I had a problem with my tips and and they pretty much dusted it off and said the cant help me. I have been a customer with them for over a year. I will be switching back to square asap.
I can't get the app to open. I uninstalled and it's still not working. I have a Pixel 3XL and running Android 10. Very disappointed and now limited on running my business.
It was great until a week ago when I updated the app and now all it does is shut the app down the instant I open it and say the app has stopped working. Now I have to find a different app to use. Thanks for messing up my Mark Kay business.
This app stopped working after my Google Pixel update. Uninstalled/reinstalled several times and still won't open. Giving a 2 because I was able to reinstall on old Android phone.
Whatever y'all just did to this app, undo it. I cannot access my account, process cards, etc. It won't recognize my user or password but I'm just fine on a laptop.
I haven't been able to open app since my Pixel Android 10 update a few days ago. I've uninstalled it several times hoping that would fix the problem but it hasn't. I am very dissatisfied, disappointed and I am limited in working my business. Can this be fixed?
For that last few days my app has constantly shut down and I would have to go to website for transactions. This cost my business more money. I've deleted the app and tried to reinstall more than once. Please fix this problem
I have used propay for 10 years. I was not using it for about a year and a half. Now it will not let me use the swiper for cards. It says I have the wrong pin. I have tried changing the pin on my account. I am trying to update the app I have downloaded. Nothing is working.
I gave the app 2 stars because it's a good idea. But it won't email my customers at all it makes me think it sent an email. It emails me a notice it sent customer a invoice but it don't. I tried several times to do a trial run to myself and nothing. No text option for me either. Does this app really work?
