A great, lightweight app that gets to the point, but there's one major flaw: The app doesn't give the user a way to manage what information ProPublica knows about you and how to safeguard your data privacy. On that basis alone, I take away two stars. Otherwise, I absolutely love ProPublica as a news source, and they get to the stories. They avoid the disinformation and educate their readers.
The Pro Publica app gives well written stories about it's activities, but I took away one star because even though I have my phone set for night mode, the app developers override my settings and show me the articles in day mode, black print on a white background. Exactly what I don't want.
Quality investigative journalism in English shared in a crisp, easily navigated interface. ProPublica excels at providing bracing new insights on stories you thought you knew. All meat—no sensationalism, no agitprop. Recommended for everyone wanting a deeper dive not down rabbit holes, but into the big world where we live.
As of a few days ago, this app stopped working. Updated, but articles were still several days old. Cleared data, now nothing shows. Reinstalled, still nothing. Please please please fix, I respect your work so much and app is more convenient for me as no PC. Three stars simply because I respect your work, anyone else would get one star for non functionality.
Has a feed of news stories but does not update after having the app for 4 days. No method to user-update feed, no settings for update interval, nothing. It's like I downloaded static articles in the form of an app.
Easy to read and comprehend. Gives you the gist of its investigative findings but also includes enough details should one wish to read further into the news article.
Quite simply, ProPublica is the best and most trustworthy investigative news journalism source in the US. This app is a daily must see for me.

Wanted easy way to look up what you might be investigating in area of housing. I wonder whether some federal officials are too close to wealthy investors. Take for example my own mortgage which has changed hands several times. Since widowed in 2008, I have been paying 2K month mortgage payments with all but $500 going toward interest to wealthy investors. My income is under 40K. Doesn't update articles, no section menu, no search. Don't get me wrong, I love the publication but the app is frustrating! For example for the 2nd time this week I got a notification, that does not take me to the article I was notified about. I am stuck in a Coronavirus section and cannot find any menu of any other sections. Read Propublica, please! But read it in a web browser, forget this app! I tried reinstalling buy made no diff.
